  1. Very nicely done Rob. Sorry if this has been raised already, but whats the weight like? Rightly, or wrongly I assume heavier, given the additional material. But, just how much heavier?
  2. How about project "War Bastard" or "Fast N' Stuff". These seem equally proposterous enough to be accepted these days!? Why can't people just say what it is anymore, i.e. James' single build?
  3. Have they considered making sub frame and suspension arm bushes? No doubt if similar quality to the OEM ones there would be significant interest. Especially given Toyota prices for these.
  4. Sorry Paul. Resent to correct address and previous post amended to prevent any further miss-reference.
  5. I used PayPal [email protected] Sent as a gift to cover any fee. Edit - Changed to correct paypal.
  6. They have to inform you in writing of repair work. Much the same as wanting access to a rented property. By renting it is your property basically. I rent two council garages, I was informed in writing when one was having its roof repaired. I would say they are culpable. Just force the issue and ask for proof of notification of repair. Don't accept them trying to pass you across to the subcontractor who did the work. Your contract is with them.
  7. Yes these issues crop up every year and the control module is often the culprit. I think they suffer from dry solder. I might see if Si can inspect a duff unit to see if there is anything obvious that can be repaired. Seems to be a common fault and at the rate of failures seen over recent years, spare control modules may be like finding rocking horse poo!! - - - Updated - - - Yes these issues crop up every year and the control module is often the culprit. 8. Lee, I assume this is just the Ali box at this stage and not the carbon product?
  9. GT-R is a good choice to move over to. I love the Supra but the GT-R is in a different league.
  10. I'm in exactly the same position and have come close on a few occasions to giving in. To date with all parts and the engine build in about £12k in, I believe the build will still need £12k to finish. This is more than just a single, this is bodywork, suspension, wheels, brakes, single turbo and an engine build. But it will be done to a very high standard and I don't think I would find a similar car for sale that I would be happy with. Therefore I will continue. Mine has been of the road 2 year this month. I have made a promise it will be back in the road for summer next year. Stick with it. You can't beat building your own car. You will never be satisified with anyone else's attempts.
  11. Halfords advanced are very good quality. Defo worth considering.
  12. Ref current draw, found some figures from a test on an Australian Skyline forum. Running at 13.5v on normal pump fuel 98 Ron. 50 Psi - 14.8 amps 60 psi - 15.6 amps 70 Psi - 16.5 amps
  13. Nice find. I have been looking for something like this for some time. I note, whilst the Walbro unit has some superb flow rates at relatively low PSI, there is a significant change in flow rate vs PSI. The Bosch on the other hand has a relatively low flow rate change vs PSI. Is this significant? I am in the process of swapping my Bosch pump for a single Walbro 450lph pump. I chose to do this as the flow appears to be enough, with uprated lines, for my power target of 800bhp. I want to avoid the staggered twin pump setup due to complexity and noise. Any opinions or thoughts on this? Is fuel pressure regulated accurately enough with an FPR to maximise a single pump at 800bhp?
  14. Corrosion of the aluminium parts. Nothing more, nothing less. Just give it a clean.
  15. Bought this all through Paul Whiffin. I have the 280 cams with a sage 2 head with dual springs and titanium retainers. I'm going to run this on a Batmowheel S366 and should clear 800 and still retain a good power band through the rev range. Paul mentioned a race jacket which increases spool times which I might try too. Might want to consider the same?
  16. I have Manley H-Beam rods and Mahle pistons in mine. I'm aiming for similar power and these seemed like a good setup. Not run the engine yet but should be back on the road next summer.
  17. I think I still have the file he did for me. Will double check when I get home and PM you both. It was for a pre-facelift 6spd with 18" wheels.
  18. Well I have just about busted the myth of the FMIC and active spoiler. Just awaiting a couple of custom parts. All will be revealed. I have made this work with a 4" core keeping the aircon too. Would there be much interest in a kit for this?
  19. Also there is the atl toucan, although this works best with a stand alone ecu like the Syvecs.
  20. The nicest dash2 install I have seen to date. Nice work.
