  1. Worth a look? http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/mobile/Category.aspx?id=13&page=10
  2. Stock for me. The biggest issue with body kits is the impracticality of them. You have to lower the car to make most look half decent. By then the nose is the lowest point on the car and you end up having to plan trips that avoid the ever growing number of speed bumps. Stock body is a breeze to drive most places and can still be lowered without causing too many issues.
  3. Whatever you do don't butcher you Active spoiler under tray. Took me a year to find one. Personally I would raise the height of the mounting points of the intercooler.
  4. Colour and finish look amazing.

    I'm New :)

Welcome Bas. I look forward to seeing the results of the respray.
  6. Lovely condition car. I notice one of the first pictures you posted that the passengers side window switches have an extra button compared to JDM / Euro Spec Supras. What is it?
  7. Seems to me like the issue with the covers is that the stitched area now sits proud of the rest of the surface. Might be worth getting a thin strip of foam sheeting to go underneath. That would raise the main sections and reduce the height of the raised stitched areas. Would also give the material an OEM type feel. Something like this: http://www.foaminspain.com/products-page/speciality-foams/thin-foam-sheeting/
  8. That will be a real shame Scott. However, I got to the same point with my last car and decided to cut my losses. I sold that for parts and made a good dealnof money back. I'm glad I did as I now have another Supra, which I love as much as my previous one and which I can use.
  9. Good to see progress on this Scott. It has been one long journey.
  10. The wife has a 1.6 HDI Pug 3008. It's just done 80k and we bought it new 4 years ago. It started to develop a smell which got quite bad after prolonged driving. Put it in for the last service and had this checked out. Transpired it's the same problem as described. Build up of diesel stuff from leaking injector seal. Ours is nothing like this and will be dealt with ASAP. Just surprised to have seen this thread and then have it happen. Never heard of this before.
  11. Are they the eBay leather kits? I've looked at them a few times and wondered about the quality and fit. Intrigued to see what they look like installed and how easy they were to do.
  12. Very tidy. May I ask if this is beautifully welded plate metal overlaying the original or if you have cut out the old structure and replaced it? How much filler is there? I like the idea of this look, but if not replacing the old structure I can imagine additional plate metal and filler weighing quite a bit.
  13. Seems that recently more and more items are being discontinued by Toyota. I just hope that another company picks up the rights to produce parts.
  14. What's your price range? This will determine what you should be looking at as in Auto or Manual. Then there are the facelift cars pre and post VVTi. All command different values. Given you link to the body kitted Supra on eBay. I assume your not fussed about having a stock car?
  15. I'd avoid that just on the basis of the blended body kit. That will not be cheap to revert to stock, or any other look for that matter, and you have no idea what nasties it's hiding. I would definitely consider spending £10 on membership. Frankly most of the cars worth owning are on here. Not to mention there are some very well known unscrupulous companies out there allegedly offering quality Supras, but which are in fact bodged cars.
  16. Hi Michael, Nothing to loose in scratching the itch. You might even finder a keeper
  17. The are indeed OEM bumper pods. I would say these are effectively worthless given their condition. As a point of reference I paid £50 for a good condition set.
  18. Agreed. What a waste of a Supra, and a 2002 model to boot.
  19. Happy Christmas and New Year Lee et al
  20. Nice results there Tobias, and there appears to be room for more if one feels inclined to do so. I'm sure 850+ bhp is more than enough. What kind of traction are you getting?
  21. I can't believe the difference in the engine bay,now having seen the old images. I picked my car up from Lee this morning from Lee and saw John's car. The engine bay is greatly improved.
  22. I wouldn't be interested in a mechanical option if I'm honest. I like the idea that it works autonomously. I think the wiper motor option might be worth trying. I can knock something up quite quickly for that as I have the parts. I'm sure my brother can assist in the electrical department. Clearly if your power goals suit an SMIC this would be the way to go. But I already have an FMIC and would like to crack this problem. I think it's something that would be quite popular if achievable, and if you don't need to destroy your car to install.
  23. That's a good idea. I do have a spare rear wiper motor at home and that would be suitable. I assume the worm drive via gears reduces the direct holding load on the motor? My electronics isn't the best, but I learn fast so I'm sure I can design something to make it all work. Your suggestion about the current sensing relays seem to be the best solution.
