  1. Any plans for an aluminium bumper undertray?
  2. Can you link to the 420bhp writeup? Could only see the one with 600bhp. 420bhp is over 100hp / litre and stock are under 300bhp? I cant see how that is possible naturally aspirated without head work, cams, ecu etc..
  3. Read somewhere that the HKS Fmics will leak easily from the end tanks, I'd check that for starters with a basic boost leak tester.
  4. In my opinion with 600-650hp on street use it will last for a long time, after 700hp you are pushing it. That being said, I had 750-800hp on my car for two summers and the engine kept alive yet another summer on a mates car on similar hp. But I would keep a spare motor with this kind of hp and I was planning to rebuild it once it would explode but it never did I also did some standing mile runs and 10 seconds passes on the strip, so it wasnt babied.
  5. ^This If your car bottom already has some rust and you apply underseal on it, it will rust under the sealant and at it will keep on rotting untill you have a hole. If there is rust, the rust needs to be removed with sandblasting and painted before underseal can be applied. Proper underseal treatment cant be done in an hour on ramps. Here's a video how you properly underseal a car:
  6. Any reason you didnt put aftermarket rods while you had the engine apart? The rods are the limiting factor on these engines and a set of Eagle rods are only around 350GBP and they can handle up to 1000hp.
  7. German Ebay for instance. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Recaro-Speed-schwarz-mit-Rechg-Neu-und-Gutachten-/161359898089?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item2591cca5e9 Search for Recaro Speed
  8. Ethanol is great, good thing we get E85 straight from the pump. It's like using race gas all the time 8)
  9. Nice wheels Luc. Good luck keeping them shiny. My friend has the 19" 505a's and he hates polishing them after almost every wash.
  10. Yes. The ECU plugs are the same on US/JDM/Euro Supras.

  12. Looks very nice. Maybe a tad lower and a 5mm spacer in the rear will set it off nicely.
  13. You can sit on the green light as long as you want, timing starts when you start moving. Just sit there and concentrate on the launch. To get a 10 second pass isnt that hard in a 600-700hp Supra.. the key is the tires and launch. 15" or 16" ET Streets or slicks or 17" radials. But dont get radials on a manual car, you will get wheel hop and break your diff or drive shaft. Get a 1.6-1.8 sec 60ft and dont mess up the shifts and high 10's are there.
  14. Excellent project and great taste. I'd consider changing to another clutch also.. A single disc clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate wont be good for the engines thrust washers and you can get crank walk.
  15. I wouldnt put suspension components like this in my car. They are most likely made in china. Think what would happen if a weld seam would break when traveling 120mph and hitting a hole in the road. Go with stock parts, this isnt the place to save money.
  16. Anybody done the polybushes? Do you get any squeeking from the bushes? Are the bushes too firm for a street car? Where are these made? Most likely in China? I would be a bit cautious about running parts like these, if they fail on the road you will crash and could kill someone or your self.
  17. If a turbo breaks, it most certainly wont break your engine.. Very slim chance for the compressor wheel actually breaking in the bits and going to the engine.. Usually the intercooler catches all the debris. Usually with the JDM twins if the turbo breaks, it's the exhaust wheel that shatters and it goes out through the exhaust or gets stuck in the cat converter.
  18. Did anyone go? I was there with two friends.. I'd recommend visiting the TX2K event, incredible cars. Went to visit Boostlogic, COBB tuning and Serious HP as well. A trip to remember for sure.
  19. Theres a member here that makes custom brackets that you only need to drill holes for the seats.

    Bride seats

I had these in a Supra.. They were actually great for a copy seat, but they are quite expensive for being a copy seat. I would consider some used Recaro Speeds or you can almost get a brand new set for the price of these.. but I was after a specific look in the interior so I got these instead.
  21. It's not the same box.. might be related.. but the gearing is different, bell housing, it has a 4wd transfer case, different output shaft etc.. but I think you knew that.
  22. It's just common supply / demand.. 2JZ engines were in Aristos as well as automatic Supras. 6spd Getrags were only in 6spd Supras which make them rare.. Rare and highly desirable = high price.
  23. I just cant get enough of the new Concept.. I want one, I need one..!! On the Granturismo 6 the FT-1 is boosted, so it will most likely have turbo(s)!! Well done Toyota, please make this in to production!!!
  24. Actually Fluidyne has had alot of quality issues and isnt considered the best at all. PWR and Koyo should be the top alloy ones. I have a Fluidyne on my Supra and it was warped from new and now it's leaking at the top on one of the welding seams.
