  1. I hope FIA would ban the shark fin wings, they totally ruin the looks of the cars. Very excited about this F1 season with more power and more grip.
  2. These are very nice cars and very tuneable. There are a couple in Finland running almost 500bhp with just upgraded the bigger turbo, intercooler and exhaust mods. Thinking about buying one my self. 340bhp remap is quite conservative. Most that are chipped here are 360-380hp and 700-800Nm torque.
  3. Nice as in wide with low offset and nicer than the 16" Fondmetals that the car came with Yeah, cheap china wheels but I'm on a budget and didnt find any used wide enough 3 piece wheels.
  4. It's not a twin chamber as they are used in forced induction. A twin chamber intake manifold has a thin opening along side the whole manifold which creates an even flow to all intake ports. They are usually used in WRC rally cars IMSA cars etc.. You can buy a DIY kit from here: http://www.amwdynoservice.com/page25.php?view=productListPage&category=14 It's the same as in the Instagram photo I posted above.
  5. On a facelift E6x this is true. They are 3.0. But on on a pre facelift they are 2.5 litre. Also on a F10/F11 body the 2010 and 2011 model 525d are 3.0 litre, but after that they are 2.0 twin turbo.
  6. Dont get a 520d with N47 engine, the timing chain will give you trouble at some point. It's usually engine or transmission out as the timing chain is in the back of the engine.
  7. Bought my friends Aristo that he has had as a project car the last 10 years. I like working on other JZ equipped cars as well other than my black beast, it's fun to work on something else for a while. The specs on the Aristo is now: Forged engine, CP pistons, Eagle rods, ARP hardware, new OEM oil pump etc. BC 264 cams, BC springs and retainers Holset HX50 turbo with 67mm inducer, Ebay manifold and wg 3.5" downpipe, twin 2.5" exhaust. Boostlogic Autobox, PI3800 rpm stall. Stall has been upgraded here in Finland to take more power and tranmission has been serviced. Emanage Ultimate with 3 bar map sensor AEM wideband GReddy Profec Spec-B boost controller 2000cc Bosch EV14 injectors, Walbro E85 fuel pump, new fuel lines, E85 fuel. Aluminium radiator, aftermarket oil cooler and filter relocation kit, transmission cooler GReddy LS intercooler kit JDM (TEIN?) aftermarket springs on stock shocks Carbonetic LSD So there's lots of nice bits in the Aristo, but it just needs some finishing touches to get it up to standard. Also the ABS light is on, most likely the brake master cylinder is shot or then an ABS sensor is broken. So far I've started to take off the turbo and manifold. I'm going to try the new Borg Warner SX-E series turbos, so I've ordered a S366 SX-E .91 A/R from the States. Also going to re do the downpipe and make an external scream pipe. My friend only had access to a regular welder and it's not very nice looking, so I'm going to re-weld some stuff with a TIG and stainless steel piping. Also going to re-do some of the fuel lines as it's big mess now as you can see in the pics. The Aristo didnt come with any nice wheels, so bought a set of Japan Racing JR10 in 19x9.5 ET22 and 19x11 ET30. This left the car a little on the high side, so a set of BC BR Coilovers are on order. I've also bought an OEM three piece rear wing from Ebay. Need to repaint it with the original color. Next it's time to remove the intake manifold. I'm going to glass bead blast it and most likely remove the TRAC butterfly from the TB as the TC isnt working anyway because of the high stall converter. Not many pics of the car yet as it's in my new house garage and it's freezing out side.
  8. Trumpet has been in the office for a couple of weeks, Obama was president for 8 years. Trump is a tool and I give him max a year in the office until he is kicked out.
  9. Nice, exactly what I'm planning to do, but I think I will sink it to the concrete as I' have to do the concrete floor as well.
  10. Yes, I think it's mostly done so that the transmission doesnt go in the fourth and stop the drift as it's too high of a gear usually.
  11. Got this handled with Scooter, thanks a lot for your help mate!
  12. Hi, I bought a shipment service via Shiply. After paying the the reserve fee to Shiply via Paypal the courier informed me that they only accept their payment via money transfer. This would be fine otherwise but my bank has raised their international money transfer fees since I last did it, and wants £40 for it, which is a total rip off. So I was thinking if someone in the UK would transfer the money for me from their account and I will pay you with Paypal, it would be a big favor for me.
  13. I have the unlocked english software for the HKS Power writer. I've mapped a few and non have had the map password locked.
  14. I have one for an JZS161 Aristo if that's any good for you. It has also the 2JZ-GTE VVTi.
  15. That's the lip width. Depends, do you want to increase just the width of the wheel or the width + lip. Inner barrel will widen just the wheel, lip will widen the lip + wheel. Keep in mind if you widen the lip, the wheel will stick out more.
  16. You can ask the lips from these companes: http://www.felgenfuchs.de/ http://www.enha.eu/index.php?cat=c14_outer-rims-outer-rims.html Not sure if they make non-stepped lips.
  17. If you are going to a quarter mile race, you will wheel hop with those radials and brake your drive train, dont use them. Or is this for mile racing?
  18. Wanted: Facelift TRD gauges. Need to have all three, or at least speedo and tach. Will pay top price. PM if you have a set..
  19. I am pretty sure Real Street uses the stock head gasket on their RS1600 engine package which is good up to 1600hp. I've ran 1200hp with the stock head gasket. You should be fine.
  20. Don't go with a 2mm head gasket, you will ruin the quench area.
