Its interesting isn't it, I thought that bit of legislation would fly through considering their recent experiences. Enjoyed this article too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35919068 Though I suspect you wouldn't like him Chris as he has tattoos.

    Apexi neo NA T

http://www.ecumaster.com/en/products/digital-ecu-tuner-3 Take a look at this. It offers timing adjustment too and can control boost as well as fueling. OK so its not a syvecs and will never be so, bit imo it offers great features for a great cost. Very popular elsewhere in the Eu and a growing forum with good assistance. I played with a MAP1 ecu and also a SAFC2 before this and this is streets ahead.
  3. I like the look of this and will buy one to play with. I have something similar for obd2 systems and its been both interesting and useful with other cars. Thanks for the links.

    Ls400 4pot brakes

Hi Scotty, where have you been? The type that fits are from the UCF20 LS400, not the earlier UCF10. Think the UCF20 started in 1994.

    Flights

They introduced reserved seating sometime ago, but I agree prior to that it was a complete free for all. But as for getting what you pay for, not sure I 100% agree with that anymore when it comes to short haul stuff, unless you are happy to pay over and above standard. But lets face it, if you book a flight for less than 100 quid per leg you are not going to get much chucked in. I flew out from Luton to Timisoara last week with my wife and daughter, hired a car for a week, paid for collision waver and it came to 270 all in for the three of us return. It would have cost us more to buy 3 open return day tickets from Wellingborough to London, so I wasn't expecting Emirates style service.

    Flights

I fly with wizz quite often and they are cheap, but you always get stung on the little extras. Even the hand baggage deal costs, what you can take on as hand baggage free is not much more than a kids satchel, in fact my four year olds Elsa bag was technically too large, if you want to take a standard size cabin bag on board they charge. If you are likely to fly a few times in a year with them then pay for a years membership of the wizzclub, it paid for itself on the first booking for us. Good cut price airline though if you don't expect all the frills, steer clear of the car hire deals though, they are never what they seem. We flew back into Luton last week and the pilot came in too fast and a few metres above the tarmac bottled it and pulled back up, bum twitch moment, most of the plane applauded when he got us down the second time, that was after a 30 minute fly over the home counties.
  8. Its very nice, its your car though and if you like the badges then leave them on. See to me the horrible hanging fog light looks worse than the badges. Have you considered converting one of your reversing lights to a high intensity red? Tidies the back up no end.

    Europe

Really? Its because the Eu exists and new member countries have been allowed in that has changed the haulage industry in Europe. Just look at how Wayberers grew out of Hungariocamion as soon as Hungary joined up. Why do you think many Eu operators now register in Bulgaria and operate throughout Europe cutting the prices to a level that way undercuts anything we can compete with? Its probably too late now, but in fact its the very existence of the Eu that is killing the UK freight industry, we stay in and in a very short period of time you wont be driving anywhere, but Ion, Vlad, Stefan and Dumitru will be. OK so on the plus side the waiting games at Nickelsdorf and crossings like it have all but come to an end but that helps all operators and has provided a even playing field, but otherwise the UK industry cant hope to even come close to competing. Even the big long established players like Willy Betz have suffered and to stay in existence are having to move ops, at the expense of German driver's jobs.

    Mini TV Review

Did anyone else on here watch Deutschland 83? I did and really enjoyed it, despite being in German with UK subtitles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutschland_83 I thought I wouldn't be able to keep interested in it with subtitles but was soon hooked. Thought the ending was terrible, left wide open for a reason I guess.
  11. 17s are mk1s with caps and nuts in silver Front Wheels are 17x8J +35 offset Rear Wheels are 17x8J +35 offset Can send you photos if you are interetested. 18s are Mk2s 1 x 9.5j and 1 x 8.5j with caps/pins nuts but am reluctant to sell really as I would like to make these up to a full set. Assange

So here we are 3 years on and he still there. Interesting set of events now with the UN panel agreeing with him that he is being unlawfully detained. Not quite sure how the Foreign office are going to get out of this one now, looks like he has been very cunning used the legal system to his advantage in this way. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35504237
  17. This one works absolutely fine as a trickle charger, quite sophisticated for the price too, samples and charges as required and unlike many others on the market it still uses a transformer, rather than a switch mode PSU. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p17423
  18. It is used as a signal fudging piggy back for the map signal in exactly the same way as the Apexi safcs do, its just a lot more sophisticated and modern. It can however be used in "fuel implant mode" but it would have to be used to batch fire, I never fancied that and mine is just to tweak the fuelling and ignition. But for the price you couldn't really expect it to have a whole array of injector drivers too. I played with a MAPECU and also the SAFC first but these are streets ahead of both of those. But I do realise they don't offer the same in terms of injector drivers compared to the Emanage stuff. Should add also that it has its own map sensor built in so it can read and provide meaningful outputs up to a much higher level of boost.
  19. This. Look at the ECU Master DET3 if you go piggyback, these provide a whole lot more than the SAFC units and cost about the same new as a second hand Apexi safc or Neo will if you shop around. At least with the DET3 you can alter the timing, control boost, control fuel cut as well as letting you control other bits too. Also offers logging although I have struggled a bit with this as it requires your PC to be connected during logging it seems and is a bit clumsy, but for the money.... http://www.ecumaster.co.uk/products/digital-ecu-tuner-3
  20. On a serious note dude, give me a text or call with what you have in mind. I may consider it with the cast manifold I have instead of the using the 1uz in the silver shell, seems to make sense.
  21. The trouble with that is that some of us are already paying heavily into a NI system so we don't have to pay, so we would under this scheme be paying twice.
