  1. Running at 1.1-1.2 bar transforms the car imo. But be prepared to replace the coil pack connectors and possibly even the coilpacks if they are originals. That bit of extra load shows the otherwise unnoticeable breakdown of these components. Also be prepared for other weak spots to come to the surface, think it was Jasonr24 on here who recently went bpu and it pushed a turbo over the edge. But yes its great.

But that was 4 weeks ago. A lot of things have happened since then. Obviously the Jo Cox murder will have a bearing on some people's decision as will George Osbourne's emergency budget talk. I sensed a tone of defeatism in what Farrage said in the media yesterday.
  3. OK great thanks, some fresh info for me in there.
  4. You've obviously not seen mine then. So, just received this in an email from the Ace Café and would draw the attention of everyone who is thinking of attending on Thursday to it: We ask that you please note (and inform your group) that Ace Cafe London will not tolerate dangerous or anti-social driving or riding, and that vehicles seen being driven or ridden, on the road in such a manner outside the cafe or its local environs will be reported to the authorities. We do not want meets having to be cancelled. Please also ensure that all attending are aware not to bring any food or drink on to the premises (to include the car park!); our kitchen is open from 7am to 10pm (9.30pm on Sunday) daily to keep patrons fed and the bar is open until 11pm (10.30pm on Sunday) for drinks - the place only works with your support. The Borough of Brent is a Controlled Drinking Zone (CDZ), thereby consuming alcohol in the street(s) is not permitted. Bringing your own alcohol to a licensed premises is also illegal (yes, some people think this is OK!). The Antisocial Behaviour Crime & Policing Act 2014 directly affects Ace Cafe London. Wheelies, Stoppies, Drifting, Burnouts, Stunts and excessive noise at the cafe and on public roads are totally unacceptable to Police, neighbours and Ace Cafe London. The cafe can be closed by these actions. The cafe's future is in your hands.
  5. OK thanks. Yes these are the only ones I haven't replaced so I guess they need taking out of the equation, but they are almost impossible to see/get to.
  6. OK guys so here's the list of attendees so far: If you want to be added to then let me know and let me have your reg number please, today. I will be sending ACE Café the numbers this evening. 8. No worries, I have everyone on this thread. Will put a list up here tomorrow of all the members I have so far just to put everyones mind at rest.
  9. So some time ago I posted I had a sequential problem with the car. Looking at Ian C's write up it sounds as though all boost is being lost through No.2 due to the EGCV not opening. Basically No.1 boosts up lovely, then sometimes (and that's what makes it hard to trace) at the point where you would expect No.2 to come online I lose boost all boost already generated from No1 and it goes flat. I thought I had cured it by replacing the EGCV VSV and replacing almost all the pipes with decent hoses. But last weekend it did it again twice on the strip, now of course its running just fine again and acting just like a normal BPU set up should. So, just been having a careful look at it again and I noticed hoses to and from the stock re-circ valve are a bit tired and where i have a bit oil in my intake due leaky seals that there has been some oil weeping out from the joints of the valve and the joints are not at all sealed properly. I will pull this off later and give it a clean and replace the hoses, assuming I am losing pressure from these connections, could this be the sequential problem too? I have studied Ian's explanation and I would think not, but curious to know your thoughts. The only other hoses that have yet to be replaced are the ones to and from the vacuum tank which I havent done as I need to get the car in the air really, unless there is an easier way?
  10. My wife had this made for me, a one off from a local artist. I love it! What do you think?
  11. Great, look forward to seeing you. But do let me have your reg number first if you want to park in the parking area in front of the café as they will have one of their guys checking against a list of numbers we have to provide up front.
  12. Just a bump to remind you all this is one week today.

  14. You are on the list now anyhow so no problem if your plans change and you can make it. Looking good now guys, we have around 20 names/reg No so far. Will be sending the list off to the Ace Café on Monday evening so you still have a bit of time to get on the list.
  15. At previous meets there's still been quite a few there up until late.

  17. Couldn't you get a job with EMT, they are always using the shortage of drivers as an excuse for late trains during peak times.

I think ours is 7am to 10pm, would think they are all the same? But I too am having second thoughts about postal voting which is what I was planning as I am on a train by this time normally. I applied for postal voting in case I am working away on the day. It is a concern. On another note I overheard a conversation today at work that made me smile on one hand but dismay on the other. A reasonable sensible more mature lady in the office was telling her colleague that she wanted to leave the Eu but wasn't originally intending to vote "we never bother normally". She then she discovered her grandchildren are voting to remain so her and her husband are now making the effort to vote to cancel out the votes from the grandkids....wtf?
  19. Its been in the linked thread in the first post for weeks mate
  20. Yep you are on the list. Thanks for the reg numbers guys, keep them coming. Just a reminder if you plan to attend I need your registrations numbers. Ace have said access will only be given to cars on a list we have to provide.
  21. Just over 2 weeks away now. Compared to previous years this event doesn't seem to be getting much interest shown. So far we only have 5 members who have said they are intending to attend, previous years we have had 25+ I know its a pain sending me the reg numbers up front but that's just what the Ace Cafe insist on nowadays. Come on guys lets try and make this a success, we were offered this date for a meet a few months ago and at that time there were only a handful of dates left for the year and this was the best in terms of daylight and weather. I appreciate that a weekday evening meet doesn't suit all and also that it is now the in-out election day too but surely we can get a few more along.
  22. Just a reminder guys. I will need your reg numbers, Ace cafe have written to me today stressing this. Also, they have asked that this thread isn't linked to any social media page/site.
  23. I will yes, thank you David. Am away for a week returning on the 3rd of June, can collect on the 4th or 5th or any evening the following week.
