  1. Get to the back of the queue mate!
  2. I did it years ago but updated it for 2020!! I'm still lurking. Sadly the Club Car is somewhat motionless due to very annoying but non-cured problem. Due to be heading off on a trailer very soon to get her up in the air and try and get her going again.
  3. Branners - Hello New Member. New Member: Who are you? Branners: I am Branners. I created The Forum. I've been waiting for you. You have many questions, and although the process of not using the search function has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably dense. Ergo, some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not. Concordantly, while your first question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realise it is also irrelevant. New Member: Should I stick with my NA or will adding a cone filter radically up the power? Branners: Your purchase of the NA is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of The Forum. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden to sedulously avoid it, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you, inexorably, here. New Member: You haven't answered my question fella. Branners: Quite right. Interesting. That was quicker than the others. New Member: Others? What others? How many? Branners: The Forum is older than you know. I prefer counting from the emergence of one integral anomaly to the emergence of the next, in which case this is the sixth version. New Member: Six versions? This is bull****."* There are only two possible explanations right, either new members are too lazy to use the search function, or it simply doesn’t exist. Branners: Precisely. As you are undoubtedly gathering, the anomaly's systemic, creating fluctuations in even the most simplistic equations. New Member: Choice. The problem's choice isn’t it. Search or don’t search. NA or TT? TT or single. Stock or hybrids? Neons or graphix? 17s or 25s? Branners: The first Forum I designed was quite naturally perfect, it was a work of art, flawless, sublime. A triumph equaled only by its monumental failure. The inevitability of its doom is as apparent to me now as a consequence of the imperfection inherent in every new member, thus I redesigned it based on your history to more accurately reflect the varying grotesqueries of your questions about increasing the power of an NA and 20" alloys. However, I was again frustrated by failure. I have since come to understand that the answer eluded me because it required a lesser mind, or perhaps a mind less bound by the parameters of perfection. Thus, the answer was stumbled upon by another, an intuitive older member, initially created to investigate certain aspects of hard drinking and buggery. If I am the father of the forum, he would undoubtedly be its mother. New Member: Jazz? Surely not Burna! Branners: Please. As I was saying, he stumbled upon a solution whereby nearly 99.9% of all members accepted the answers in the Technical Section, as long as they were given a choice, even if they were only aware of the choice at a near unconscious level which appeared to be the level at which they mostly functioned. While this answer sufficed, it was obviously fundamentally flawed, thus creating the otherwise contradictory systemic anomaly, that if left unchecked might threaten the Forum itself. Ergo, those that refused the answers, while a minority, if unchecked, would constitute an escalating probability of disaster. New Member: This is about Lemsip innit?. Or Hovis? Branners: You are here because The FAQ Section is about to be destroyed. Its every answer and tip deleted, its entire existence eradicated. New Member: What’s the FAQ Section? Never seen it. Branners - Denial is the most predictable of all new member's responses. But, rest assured, this will be the sixth time we have deleted it, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it. The function of the One True Member is now to return to the Forum, allowing a temporary dissemination of the denseness and stupidity you carry, reinserting your prime dumbass question. After which you will be required to select from the Forum 23 individuals: 8 owners with JDM cars, 8 with UK cars, 6 with big power singles and 1 with a car too hideous to describe, to rebuild the FAQ Section. Failure to comply with this process will result in a cataclysmic system crash deleting everyone connected to the Forum, which coupled with the extermination of the FAQ Section will ultimately result in the extinction of the entire MKIV following. New Member: You won't let that happen, you can't. You need our 10 quid fees to keep Burna in penicillin! Branners: There are levels of survival we are prepared to accept. However, the relevant issue is whether or not you are ready to accept the responsibility for the deletion of every member on the Forum. New Member looks blank. Branners: It is interesting reading your reactions. Your five predecessors were by design based on a similar predication, a contingent affirmation that was meant to create a profound attachment to the rest of the members, facilitating the function of the One True Member. While the others experienced this in a very general way, your experience is far more specific. Vis-a-vis, blind stupidity. *Images of a Supra drifting appear on the monitors* New Member: My car!! Branners: Apropos, she entered your life and will drain you of every penny you have. New Member: No! Branners: Which brings us at last to the moment of truth, wherein the fundamental flaw is ultimately expressed, and the anomaly revealed as both beginning, and end. There are two options. Choice 1 leads to the Search function and the FAQ Section, and the salvation of The Forum. Choice 2 leads back to the real world, your 'motor' as you so eloquently put it, and to the end of your membership. As you adequately put, the problem is choice. But we already know what you're going to do, don't we? Already I can see the chain reaction, the chemical precursors that signal the onset of emotion, designed specifically to overwhelm logic, and reason. An emotion that is already blinding you from the simple, and obvious truth: she will handle like a pig on roller skates on 20" wheels, and there is nothing that you can do to stop it. New Member: It'll look the dogs though and my Veilside kit looks great in purple flip! Branners: Humph. Hope, it is the quintessential Supra owner's delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength, and your greatest weakness. New Member: If I were you, I would hope that we don't meet at JapFest. Branners: We won't.
  4. Boston - err no! I spent a great deal of my childhood there with my grandparents but it’s a different place these days. Spalding is too remote. Lincolnshire, as a whole, has remote areas but, on generally, is wonderfully quiet! The pace of life here us more sedate than most and even though some villages are built around incest you still have many that aren’t! Cost of living is very agreable and commuting to the overrated shithole is acceptable and easy.
  5. I have a mate who works at Paint Perfect and know the owner. They did all the work on my M3 and I’d trust them 100%.
  6. Happy Birthday ya filthy animal!!
  7. Used to cover between 10k and 12k a year in mine!
  8. Well as the proud custodian of this car for the near future let me just have a say! The programme is TV, pure and simple - a good dose of fantasy BUT, and here's the thing, it was all free and has generated massive interest and discussion of the car, the marque and the club. Ian, Branners and Darren should be thanked for actually getting this done as otherwise the club car would still be sat as it was before and would have for some time. Hell the car isn't to everyone's taste and even I baulked a bit when I first saw it but even stock cars get grief so bearing in mind that there are already a plethora of owners' cars on here we all can't agree on this car was never going to be any different. The turbofans are off and I can't imagine the car would be legal or fun to drive with them on - I think they were just a TV gimmick. Well made though I have to say. No they didn't do much of the work and yes a load was farmed out but this is a TV programme - 99% of car shows are the same, it's fudged for telly. So casting that aside let's get on to the positive aspects as I think they far outweigh the negative. The car is a superb talking point and advert for the club and the marque. It has now been liveried up with the club's URL and FB link (thanks to Mark Armitage at Your Final Vinyl for covering the costs on this) and I'm driving it today and will be most days to get it around, get it noticed and get some traffic through this site and the FB page. It's already made a few kids' days as they've sat in it, had photos taken in it and looking at their faces and their parents' faces has made it all worthwhile. It's been on TV! That has to be a plus! The owners club got on TV! Not many owners clubs can boast that. And whilst some may deride the sort of people we want in the club and is this the right car to draw people in I'd remember where we all started. Didn't we drool over cars we couldn't afford and aspire to own them? Have we become that elitist that we see anybody like this as chavy and not worthy of our time? I'll put some pics up of the car up now it's got the decals on. I guess most of you will be very happy it's not sat on your drive. I'm proud to have it on mine.
  9. If that's all true I'd avoid like the plague - sounds like a total b@stard monster.
  10. Thought I should add my twopenneth as the car is sat on my drive! I get that the car is not to everybody's taste but no 2 Supras have ever met with identical positive responses so this doesn't bother me one bit. It's grown on me and I now love it. Yes it gets a staggering amount of attention from all quarters - young kids love it and I've whizzed it around to a few kids' houses for them to sit in etc and it makes their day so for that alone it's worth it. I get stopped a lot by all sorts of people asking about it and it gives me a chance to talk about the forum, the club and the programme so it's a fantastic advertising vehicle in many ways for the club - don't knock it because you think it may attract the 'wrong' type of people, you'd be surprised how many above ASBO age people stop me to talk about it. Don't knock it David, look at the positives this car offers. I drive it to work some days and intend to use it a heck of a lot and get it out there and noticed. It needs to be louder though to match the loud looks - yesterday I was outside a college and some yoofs were shouting "Rev it!". Their faces were a tad disappointed when I did! In terms of how this transformation came about you have to hand it to Ian, Darren and Branners for making this happen - I don't know of any other car club that has had this happen and it's testimony to the incredible passion and hard work that these guys put into the club that events and things like this even happen at all - I take my hat off to all of you. How does it drive? I think it was built for looks first and foremost so yes it has compromises but then so does adding anything to affect handling over and above the stock package. There is some fouling on lock etc but I've had that with smaller wheels and non-stock suspension before so this is a common area for me! It actually drives really well on the move, handles well and the suspension is more than fine. There will always be tweaks but that's the great thing about having a car like this, the work is never done! I've got some great pics taken by a local 'tog' which I'll add once the programme has aired - don't want to spoil their thunder at this stage. As Branners has mentioned, I'll be adding some forum graphics etc to make this a true forum promo car which, in my opinion, makes for a superb advertising opportunity. And yes Frank, my mid life crisis has been going on since the early 90s and shows no signs of fading yet!
  11. After a pair of facelift headlights please. Preferably ones that don't need splitting to repair rust etc - bit of external polishing not an issue! Those affected by Supra Tax need not apply. Thanks in advance.
  12. Anybody have a set of new LHD glass headlights for sale at all? Asking for a member who’s forgotten his password! Thanks in advance.
