An inspiration as ever Jake. Car looks really good and the set up really suits those wheels imo. Out of interest, where did you get the carbon rear lip from? It looks good and a good fit. Great work mate

Thanks mate i got it secondhand in the end, regarding the wheels I'm intending to have them re-done again, and they will be going a touch darker this time, but they have grown on me.

So.... since TRAX (which I enjoyed allot) I realised how much I miss using the old girl.

My Supra's in the last few years, have always been garage queens, but so long as the weather is decent I always try to use it.

Well a week after TRAX was Jap show finale, and the next day I was joining my parents briefly for a few days on holiday in Devon. Well Jap Show finale was a good show, but the drive too and from was epic, having allot of plays with various cars, and on the way back I had SO many people coming along side to give the thumbs up, and even a very attractive blonde taking pictures of the car much to her boyfriends disgust :taped: his M3 obviously wasn't cutting it ;)

After having such a good drive, I decided to ditch the sensible option of taking the Passat on the 500 mile round trip to and from Devon (with driving while down there) and take the Supra again to stretch its legs. I didn't regret it at all! Weather was dry the whole time, the roads were brilliant over the moors and it was all round a epic few days. Enjoyed it so much on the way home I even took the scenic route back past Stonehenge and a few other little twisty country roads.

This is probably the most amount of miles I have covered in it in the course of just over a week, and I was smiling from start to finish.

Need less to say its in need of a deep clean now but TBH I cant wait :D

Here are some pictures of it, couple more from trax, couple from santa pod and a few in Devon.

Glad to see you are enjoying her for the driving as well as how she looks :D

You have done an amazing job to get her looking the way she is. Now roll on next year and get her out on the road

/QUOTE]

Thanks mate. Yep next year will just be enjoying it tinkering with small bits, and one trip to srd for some plans other than that nothing much planned.

So lots of pictures to come over the next few weeks.

I have started accumulating the parts/ stuff to do my interior. The winter engine work (yet to be confirmed how much is happening) will mean that the car will be away for a little bit meaning I will have lots of time to do the wheels and the interior.

So I have started getting the parts together to do the interior.

-door cards (for moulds)

-Headlining

-interior light pannel

-sun visors

-arm rests

-leather arm rest retrims

-suede head lining retrim

-black and red gaitors

-OEM rear speaker cover (ready for custom work)

-Non genuine front speaker covers

-3metres or Carbon

-all the resins

-trimming adhesive

-White LEDS

-freshly re-furbished window surround

Still looking for some bits.

Cant wait to get started on making the interior exactly how i want it and one of a kind.

The interior will eventually be fully leather trimmed with a mixture of black and red stitch. Will also have some carbon bits here and there, all to be custom made by myself. However it is something I will be doing over stages, and I intend to do 90% of the work myself.

So some of my re-trim bits have arrived. Very happy so far.

Nothing is fitted yet, have had them all laid out for two days to get rid of the packaging creases, and all are coming out nicely, will leave it out for a few more days then I'm planning to start trimming the bits Thursday all being well.

All pieces are black with red stitching, all leather but the head lining is suede. Should match my re-trimmed steering wheel nicely. Not sure if I will use the gear and handbrake gators, or stick with my black ones but bought them anyway and will see what I prefer.

Having done the arm rests a few times before for my old build, I'm looking forward to doing them again hopefully this time even better. The head lining I'm a little more apprehensive of but looking forward to the challenge.

After they are done, I have something interesting planned for the door cards, notice the spares I have are fairly tatty, so they will be used for a template for some special treatment

So I couldn't wait and over the last 3 days I have spent a couple of hours where I can each day, and the arm rests are done! I'm very happy with how these turned out, learnt allot from doing this previously. Considering im a massive novice I think they should look great fitted.

Planning on doing some car work tomorrow on my day off so long as the weather is kind.

Also my Sub arrived! :) Nice a subtle this time.

Awesome project! Just read everything from page one :)

I was originally looking for enginebay themes, and you've done an amazing job! Do you know what ral code your painter used for the turbo pipes and intake?

Thankyou very much mate.

All my paint parts have been done in Toyota supra 199 as a tribute to my old supra build.

Final update of the night, I have now painted the under side of the bonnet too. looks much better!

Also realised its exactly a year ago today I had the new car on my drive officially mine. Because of this I will let everyone know the plans for the car over the winter.

The car is booked for SRD early next year for the head to be removed and fully rebuilt, this will mean all new gaskets etc, along with valve stem seals, new valave guides if needed and any other bits needed. There is also plans to potentially have the turbos changed but not 100% confirmed yet. Also I havent mentioned yet but im proud to say the car has been selected to be on the stand at this years NEC classic car show, so will be a great way to end this year!
