Running problem has now been solved by SRD - it was a faulty boost control solenoid which Lee said was stuck in the open position so was effectively allowing really high boost levels but thankfully the syvecs made it boost cut at 2 bar which created the kangarooing effect we were experiencing. Solenoid has now been replaced and is controlling the boost much better than before.

The beast is now back to full fitness looking for a Black stock TT6 piloted by somebody called Danny;)

As you know I am generous to a fault - even TT's beat singles when they have no usable boost.

Chris's time will come once my money has run out.

I wish I'd known that before going with the pierburg. Yours is the first peirburg failure ive heard of though, and as you've found the syvecs will step in if it fails. But i'll be changing to a mac if the car ever needs to be remapped. :)

I bet you're glad you didn't use an emanage :D

Was going to say any 3 way controllers you can pick at what state it fails at sort of, clearly a normally open will fail allowing uncontrolled boost but if its plumbed normally closed will just run at wastegate boost , that being said if the solenoid was to jam it could be stuck in any position open or closed.

So always best to have a boost cut set in the ecu, glad nothing was damaged guys and hope to see you backmon the road soon

The car was back on the road ages ago mate, run so much smoother with the new MAC solenoid, Lee tweeked the map so that must have something to do with it. The car is back at Lee's now for a few winter modifications ;).
