Finally the day came where I drove her :D

Picture update…

Arrived at Protuner on Friday afternoon to pick her up…

She was driving lovely and really happy with it and stopped half way home for some food but then went out to the car to carry on the journey home and she wouldn’t start, was nothing happening at all when I was turning the key she wasn’t even trying to crank so after abit of searching I couldn’t find out the problem and had to carry on its journey home on the back of a recovery truck…

Saturday was fault finding day and luckily found the problem to be a bad earth so sorted this and she fired up fine again :) then Sunday was abit of a tidy up day on her…

Then went for another drive in her Sunday night…

Then parked up at mine (I do all the work on her out my parents house) and went out this morning to see her sat happily next to my black Supra :)

All in all a very good weekend and feels amazing to finally drive her again, just got to do my run in miles now and I have final mapping booked for Thursday 31st May as this was the earliest Greg at Protuner could do.

Just got to enjoy driving her and running her in now :)

The black NA needs parking elsewhere, or the plate changing :D

Or swap plates, that'll surprise a few people :D

i normally advise engines to be broken in over a 1000mile period with multiple oil changes.

you can't really do it properly on a dyno without adding increased wear into the system.

I 100% agree with you about not running an engine in on the dyno

But personally I think 1000 miles is excessive on mineral oil, and I would do 500 miles, but I'm far from an expert, and only picked up on these things from seeing friends go through this process and the pitfalls that sometimes crop up. But you are the engine builder who built this engine, so your instructions should be followed

  • 2 weeks later...

Not really an update today but gave her a good clean on Friday and took aload of pics :)

First I installed CCTV over the driveway now that she’s back…

Then I moved the dirty Sally just off the driveway ready to clean…

My first ever personal use of Snowfoam thanks to Peter Richards on here who was brilliant through helping me sort the bits I need (I have a very old type Karcher pressure washer)…

And then she was clean :)

attachment.php?attachmentid=226671&stc=1&d=1524134833

Parked up and took another sneaky pic…
