I have, loved the power but I'd rather sacrifice power and have a manual all day long. IMO there's nothing worse than the noise of an auto change. Aye, I'm just not a fan of auto either, especially in a single. Like you say, each to their own, but no matter how good an autobox is, I always prefer manual shifts. Auto's just feel a bit clumsy to me and can't get on with the sound. I'll make an exception for a good paddle shift though, the box in the V10 M5 is good and the GTR box is also pretty special. The only reason im changing to manual is because i know i will be chasing bigger power further down the line and it will save me time.
