ripped_fear Posted January 23, 2012 Author Share Posted January 23, 2012 Step one of the radiator surround repair has gone ok, all bonded back together and its strapped up in the workshop at the moment to dry over night. No we are using the original and bonding it back on as there is a nice area to bond it too. ripped_fear Posted January 26, 2012 Author Share Posted January 26, 2012 OK had a very productive afternoon, got the fan surround back from the body shop all repaired and painted and got it fitted too also got my chrome suspension bolts aswell and got them fitted too. Before after Was allot more of a fiddly job than I expected but was very happy with how it has turned out. Engine bay is coming along well now and I don't think I am going to do too much to it now, apart from a couple of small things, but hell that could change. Only things i would change is remove the Toyota badge on the battery cover and the Supra sign on the fan surround, but that's just my personal opinion. Thumbs up and keep up the good work mate Thanks buddy, and yeah I aggree about the supra logo on the surround, but as they are rare a hell I couldn't miss out on buying it, but at least the stock intake covers it mostly. ripped_fear Posted January 26, 2012 Author Share Posted January 26, 2012 Oh also today had a bit of a set back ass my ridox lip fell off! luckly the car was parked so no damage done but have got to re fit it and this time it will be bonded so it wont go anywhere. I have also started to make a number plate surround for the rear as im going to give the car a bit of a US look with the lip, surround and diffuser maybe even de spoiler but that is a big maybe. Having to custom make the surround to fit the Jap size numberplate. So using my old front number plate as a template this is as far as I have got... still needs major tweaks. Was going to get a kit originbally but I couldn't resist. Also started work on the number plate surround template today and was a major fail, started cutting it very gently so not to crack it and what happened...
