Car has decided to create a problem which Lee and Ash are sorting, i went to collect the car yesterday but a cam sensor fault stopped me from taking her home. Seems to still be causing headaches today, so pickup might be doubtful. Im in no rush, i just want it right. Its a strange fault though. I have known cam faults like this through working at VW but codes are worded slightly different on diagnostic tools and the supras live data is showing no signal from the cam sensor, seems to be when its warm!

Just one of those things.

We swapped the cam sensors with new and even the plugs. Lee has completely re-wired the loom from the ECU to the cams sensors. Took it out today with Ash for fuel and the same thing happened. Im wondering if it could be the Crank sensor but even then im jubious as surely there would be 'no spark' at all.

Just decides to cut out at junctions and then is a pig to get started again! its seriously doing my head in and been looking on supra forums ect for a answer to help SRD out. Never did this when i was single and the car was faultless, so it must be something silly?? but the laptop is showing "cam sensor" all the time!!

My Black Greddy badges should be with me shortly AND i cant fight my OCD much longer but i am changing the cam belt to a stock belt (black). So the theme is all gold, silver, black... no colours... listy's fault!!!

Lee phoned today and its good news.

The timing "star" behind the crank pulley was faulty and lost its little tag, causing it to throw the timing out slightly (1 tooth). Lee will explain it better. Still got to road test it but thats a clear visible fault so hopefully all will be ok.... "touch my wood"
