  1. I love the way they do this. 'Petrol is gonna be £1 per litre', there is an outcry and threats of action, so the price goes up to 'say' 95p per litre. Everyone thinks 'oh well that's not so bad' and the govt.\Fuel companies get a healthy increase That said, a BPU Supra is gonna average 15ish to the gallon ? I tend not to get bent out of shape by petrol prices nowadays, my choice is to have an awesome car that pi**es on most road going vehicles, but that choice costs petrol ! Me complaining about petrol prices would be like Chris Moyles complaining about the price of burgers Matt
  2. Er, I wouldn't know mate
  3. I know, lovely and sunny here too mate ! Now I'm really kicking myself I left my Supe aerotop at home and brought the work mule
  4. Apology accepted, no-ones perfect Matt
  5. Cheers mate, I actually have an old steering wheel in the loft, I got it when GT3 came out. I dashed home like an 8yo school kid, set it up in the lounge, started playing and thought 'what DO I look like !!!' Packed it up and put it in the loft However, I think I may have to break it out again Boys and their toys eh ?!? Matt PS. Supra's going to Dude's shortly for major service, cambelt and new Veilside rear bumpr - I wont be buying a new wheel either !!!
  6. I stand in awe, I really can't (be arsed?) to get gold in all the tests ! Hats off to ya. Do you use a controller ? Or steering wheel ? And what is it with the coffee break test where you knock over all the cones in a spiral !!! What's the secret to this ? I get really crappy times !!! However, I'm nearly 20% through the game Got quite a garage full of cars too
  7. BPU is Basic Performance Upgrade - the upgrades that most do ie Exhaust, Filter, etc.
  8. Hi Stonkin' ! Glad to see you made it over here from s'net Have a look at the traders section for cars mate, if they don't have what you want now then I'm sure they can get it for you. All the best with your Supra, you'll love it !!! Matt
  9. I've often wondered this as there are lots of HKS Kansai bits on my car Matt
  10. Oh well, there goes my evening.
  11. I know, frightening isn't it - what makes it worse is that this laptop has just 64mb RAM My calculator is more powerul
  12. Cheers all, managed to find an 'unofficial service pack' which includes the critical stuff, and I'm now downloading media player, directx etc seperately. Windows 98 ? Pff, who uses that nowadays Hi Steve, close to Horsham ? Live there mate You local ? Or just travel through ? Matt
  13. Hi all, I'm formatting and reinstalling 98se onto a friends laptop for him. Thing is, it doesn't have a NIC card so I can't hook it up to the net thru' my router and run all the updates over ADSL. I know you can get a big update file that includes everything for XP / W2K etc called Autopatcher, but is there anything similar for 98 ? If so, I could download this, burn it to a disc and then update this laptop. Cheers Matt
  14. I'll keep my eyes peeled for possible sites, and lets hope something comes off.
  15. I have to admit that I enjoyed the teamplay side of it, I just wasn't very good ! Then oneday I somehow ended up commanding a unit, I issued orders and they all went in different directions anyway !!! Oh well. Matt
  16. Planetside ! I guess that's still going strong then ? I played it for a month or so when it came out but that was pre-ADSL (satellite internet) which sucked. That's probably sad and cool at the same time but you're a better man than I, I certainly don't have that much patience. Cheers Matt
  17. Hi all, I've been to Bolney for the last 3 years, altho not as a Supe driver (only got mine last August). But it really is a shame this event got canned as it was clearly a good location and generally got a really good turnout. If you look at the thread for Bolney 2004, there was something like 40 from this forum that had their name down as an attendee ! Does anyone know if there has been an alternative location offered on different forums ? Or does anyone know of somewhere it could be held ? Just seems a shame for it to die when it was so well supported. Matt
  18. Spot on, anything over that and you have to declare and pay tax on it.
  19. As eloquent as that was, it's still Monday And yes the weekends do go far too quickly On the upside, soon be summer and I can sit in the garden until 10pm. Then when I go to work, I can take my roof panel out and stick my fingers up at all those on here that claim rigidity is better than aerotop (So what's my excuse for the car being red ?!? ) Matt
  20. Maybe there's hope for me this time then
  21. Hi all, Being a bit of a petrolhead, I've had more than a few cars. It's a bit of a long standing joke with friends\family about how often I buy cars, and how they end up with LOUD exhausts on etc etc. Sound familiar to anyone here ? Anyway, to be honest, I'm more than happy to spend (far too much) money on my cars, but I don't actually enjoy losing loads of money come sale time, and I would like to stick with one (or three ) cars, but I've never found a car that ticks enough of my boxes. But could the Supra be it ? Mr Keef and others (inc. me) are more than happy with the Supra at the mo (see here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=34410), but will it last ?!? Has the Supra cured anyone else of this automotive illness ? Is there anyone on here that has now had their Supra for a few years, but used to change a lot before the Supe ? Cheers Matt (possibly having long term commitment issues )
