Quick question. I was up there this weekend being ripped off by PC World, and the sign on the gates to the car park says 'Gates close at 10pm every night'. Is it over by then ? Or do you move onto somewhere else ? Doubt I can make it this time, but just wondered......

I use the Meguiars 3 stage Crystal system. It's very good, but takes a while..... 1) Wash and dry car 2) Apply Paint Cleaner and buff off 3) Apply Polish and buff off 4) Apply Carnuba Wax and buff off 5) Go indoors, consume lots of post-polish lager and catch 40 winks ! Roll on summer

Hi all, The outside of my car gets FAR more attention than the inside ! But I want to give the inside a good polish too. I have a GZ, but even so I believe the door cards\dash are vinyl. Any recommendations out there for polishing these up ? Tried an Autoglym vinyl polish on one door over the weekend and it was poop (Where did the Donkey emoticon come from ?!? I don't know where all the Supra's are located, but how about two events at the same time - a North and a South event that meets in the middle at the end. So you might have one start in Scotland and tour it's way down south and one start in cornwall\devon and work it's way north. Then we all meet up for one big Supra meet. Bring your own portable BBQ and sleeping bag

I can definitely see where you're coming from. I had an X-Type 3.0 Jag when they first came out, cost £32k with the extras. Complete pile of poop So bad in fact that after 14 months of arguing, they agreed to swap it for another. This wasn't quite as bad, but still had to have a lot of warranty work done. We're not talking the odd squeak or rattle, whilst I had the car it had : 3 gearboxes 2 transfer boxes propshaft works to diff. cage wheel bearings all four door lock mechanisms (spent two weeks getting in from the passenger side front door ) Clutch plate replacement And that's off the top of my head, it was with the dealership, on average, once a month whilst I owned it So, would I buy a new Jaguar ? Hell no, once the model is a few years old and they've sorted out the issues then maybe. Oh, and I wasn't the only one with a problematic X-Type. DON'T buy an X-Type !!! I wanted a Supra for a while and I'm LOVING mine, I'm not supposed to use it everyday but the missus will say to me before work 'are you taking the Laguna or the Supra', then she sees the smile on my face and knows which car I'm taking But that's the thing, I have an alternative car for putting people in, doing trips to the tip etc. The Supra is an awesome car, but go and look at the back seat in one. Not sure I could recommend one as a lone family car. All the best Matt

I think this is a good idea. I wanted to do a Cannonball but a) it's a week away b) it's expensive c) it's too much driving and d) it was organised by that TWAT from Japvillage ! Maybe we need two events then because the trackday tie-in is a terrific idea ! Must admit, whenever I've been the prices haven't been noticably better than 'say' ebuyer, aria, savacentre, dabs, microdirect et al. I'd much rather pay a couple of quid more and buy from a company I could get hold of again should something happen.
