  1. Yeah I quit bein lazy assed an looked it up. Have set an alarm on me pda to remind me to call them and pay our teams deposit. I need to buy me tickets for Castle Coombe yet as well. In fact arse I will go buy them now.
  2. Going on my distinct lack of pulling power (ooo ar missus) after hard braking and the fact that I had smoke exuding from my back left wheel well today when I stopped off at pottage pease services I am fairly sure that I am having brake binding problems on the back. Does anyone know the part number for a J-spec brake caliper servicing set or will toyota know the part I need and be able to get it for me? I could do with a set for the fronts as well so I can service them prior to selling them on.
  3. £170 for a main dealer 2.8 hour job???? As his royal orangness himself David Dickinson would say "thats cheap as chips that is!!". That said why pay out that sort of money when you can wait for it to snap on your way to a crucial business meeting in the pi**ing rain and as you were too skinflint to get a decent recovery service you have to wait for about 2 hours for any one to tow you away and then toyota or some other garage charge you a small fortune to take the head off to make sure that there was no damage done!! Makes much more sense that does:p
  4. Yeah everyone seemed to bomb-burst there a bit lol. Was a good drive over i am so glad I chose to drive cross country using the smaller A roads with sat nav rather than the predictable up the M3 across the M25 and back down the M23 as it was a very pleasant drive back. I had to stop on the way back though to put the roof back on cos it tipped it down and I was in the process of gettin a tad moist!!
  5. Is this an item that you are retailing now ie the shelf and box without the amps an stuff?
  6. Nah wasn't either of us mate. There are about 3 more red ones around now at least 2 other black ones than on the forum and at least 1 if not 2 other white ones and the silver one that everyone keeps seeing oh and the silver N/A with jap symbols down the side of it unless it got sold out of area.
  7. Anytime I ever buy a car regardless of what the service history says I do the cam belt on it. Its just not worth the aggro and uncertainty. With the cam belt done you know for certain that you have 60k's worth of driving on the belt which is more than I would ever need on a car and I used to do 700 miles a week. £175 isn't bad for a cambelt change from a dealer either. Vauxhall wanted the best part of £400 to do me omega V6 got it done back street specialist for £300 the cambelt kit itself complete with pulleys which are bits other than the belt that can go was over £150.
  8. Well to be honest the horn on a supe is a bit opera girly ish so rreplace the thing with a bit meaty assed daddio horn for scaring little childers and old ladies:p Does sound like someone has pilfered the original though and it wasn't me I was with at least 10 other people that will vouch for me last night guv:confused:
  9. Hey the funniest part was watching the poor fooker mopping hte stuff up out of the cockpit then lifting all the floor panels and ensuring that the electrical gubbins under there hadn't been soaked:p
  10. 1. Trig 2. Gandolf 3. Supragal 4. Stox 5. Oxygene (deff coming now) 6. Nick (NWS25)(penciled) 7. Amazing Grace 8. mawby 9 Green Peace + 1 mystery guest 10. #1 Adam (penciled) 11. Scooter 12. 11. What a chocolate teapot???
  12. Can you not swap the oil filters over pronto stylee that way you don't lose much oil. And thinking about it the filter is higher than the oil level in the sump isn't it so you should be able to swap it out easily enough. Just a bit messy. Not nearly as messy as a mate of mine that received 25 litres of hot transmission oil on his head when a filter he was changing in a chinook helicopters fwd xmsn self closing mechanism didnt close and he couldnt get the filter back in for love nor money lol!!!
  13. Well we shall see when the things turn up. They do look like they are pre paint so I am wondering if the guy craked them trying to fit them and they didn't fit?? Whatever if they are shite I will put em back on ebay and re-flog em just no-one off here buy them from me user name brypaulcullen cos the only reason I will be selling them on is that the fookers don't fit even with adjustments. Incidentally alot of his feedback is from Millhouse999 not our millhouse is it??
  14. Cool Neil I will make the effort to come on across to this one then. Hopefully the weather is good and my hangover aint a grade 4 or above now.
  15. Well at least if you are gonna be all la de dah about it post the link so we can also post in the "correct thread" Hehehehehehehehehe:p
  16. I am just wondering at the price is all. Whats the cheapest you can buy what appears to be genuine veilside side skirts new??
  17. Looks like I just won a set of what looks like genuine Veilside side skirts that are pre sprayed or white. Dunno if this link will work but here goes ebay page for sideskirts First up I really didnt think I would get them for £205 and am a touch surprised. Is this a good price or is there summat dodgy going on here?
  18. I got this little lot from new era imports about this event. This is to let you know of the biggest Japanese Car event this year. The MRC Japanese Streetfigher Showdown taking place on 31 May, at Shakespeare County Raceway. A massive show combined with a Run What Ya bring event plus full-on quarter mile competition with the UK's most powerful Japanese Sports Cars. Mazda is planning to launch a new sports model based on the MX-5 at the show - and there will be cash prizes and trophies on offer for the best cars. (The following is extracted from Japanese Performance Magazine, Issue 40 May 2004, page 12). If you've never seen a 10 second quarter mile by a 1,000 bhp Skyline GT-R don't miss this event. You may have seen how the top players compare at drag events before but this is the first time that the UK's top Japanese Sports cars have had the chance to shoot it out on a properly prepared surface and against the clock. Hosted by the Mazda Rotary Club in conjunction with Shakespeare County Raceway, the event is open to all makes of Japanese performance car. For those who want the opportunity to get in some quarter mile practice before the proper event the strip is also open on Sat 29th & Sun 30th May for the Nitrous Modified Show and RWYB. The main event for Jap-only cars is Rotorstock, on the bank Holiday Monday. In the morning and until 3pm, anyone can give it their best on the dragstrip, but from 3pm the Japanese Streetfighter Showdoen begins. Here, the fastest runners of the morning and previous day have the chance to battle it out against the invited star cars and their drivers. The "Star Car" entrants invited by MRC for the Japanese Streetfighter Showdown make a truly impressive list. It includes the awesome Nissan Skylines of Rocket Ronnie (Abbey Motorsport prepared), Gary Passingham (GT-Art), Ron & Darren Kiddell (RK Racing), plus other hot contenders including Simon Norris' amazing 10 sec. Evo VII, Adrian Smith's Fensport Corolla and untra quick Supras of Dee Ireland (CRD) and Leon Green (JPS Motorsport). Expect to see some very special lightweight RX-7's there too - with 500 + bhp. Some of the most powerful Scoobies will be attending too. Abbey Motorsport's Mark Gillingham is also hoping to have completed his beast of a Skyline which is expected to have 1,300 bhp on tap. Entry to the event costs £18 (£15 in advance) plus a further £15 for unlimited runs on the drag strip for the Sunday and Monday. Weekend tickets are at a discount. We'll be there ourselves, unfortunately not with our own RX-7 this year (Not ready in time), but to video the event as part of our next DVD and also to meet some of our customers to whom we've supplied performance cars to over the last 6 years.
  19. It was only £4 for the filter run it til you get another one. The money you saved on the sythetic oil £30 should more than make up for that!!!
  20. Crap I was hoping to speak to you as well neil as I would like to put my face to a name and all. Still not sure if I will make this then as its so far and numbers aren't massive. The weather will decide I reckon.
  21. Churissst Paul E that pops up first on the page without any warning. Scared the bejeezuss out of me!!
  22. And they wont do squat unless you alledge the other driver was drinking!! I got run off the road outside a police station and the old guy was saying it wasn't his fault so rather than twat him I called the local police. They refused to even send someone out the front door to me!!
  23. I find a very amusing trick is to knick the valve cores from all four tyres leaving them with four flat tyres and if they do somehow manage to collar you for it you haven't done any actual damage to the car just f*cked them right off and its not simply a case of gettin a pump and pumping them back up. This one is for slightly pettier revenge. A johny or balloon full of cream cleanser across the roof is a good un as after it dries its a real shit to get off without scoring the paintwork and again you physically haven't damaged the car its their fault if they rub it into the roof!!
  24. Sorry I am with Bangkok guy on this. I think that the supra logo on the back of mine is very naff. Mine is raised out from the paintwork by quite a way which led me to beleive it was like the FTO ones that are stamped into the metal. If its just glued on I think I will attempt to get it off of there then cos I really don't like it. My UK brakes came with the same logo on first thing I did was paint the caliper to get rid of that as well LOL!! Thats just my opinion which we are all entitled to no matter how misguided so ya can keep ya :flame Dev to yaselves
