  1. Try takin a photo of it fella or else you cant be guaranteed that the answer will be conclusive.
  2. I picked up a parking ticket recently parking in a cross hatched area where a two way road is reduced to a one way bit. I was gone for 10 minutes if that. The buggerin traffic warden could only just have had time to write out the ticket LOL. It cost me £30 but looking at it I don't grudge it really. The amount of times I have avoided paying for parking by parking in spaces like that has more than payed for that ticket. Parking round my way can be £6-£7 a day so if you add up about 10 years of technically illegal (not unsafe parking) then it was worth the ticket. I don't wanna get one every time but hey you take the risk on a dodgy parkin space you gotta be prepared to take the penalty. On the flipside I live on a single lane road with 90 degree turnouts at both ends. On one end some berk parks his work van around the corner on the pavement so you haven't got a chance of seeing anything coming from your right at all. It pi**es me off that no-one police or traffic wardens do anything about it. Its clearly parked in a dangerous manner. Thing that double pi**es me off is that my street is only 200 yards from where I got ticketed just off a main road but will the fascists come and ticket obviously dangerous parkers?? Nope they stick to easy targets that are parked in slots that should be parking spaces but are cross hatched instead!!
  3. Be cheaper than a TT transplant though!
  4. Hmm OK if I get my dash respray finished by then I might pop along.
  5. When is it? I could search the net but i am lazy:p
  6. Is this near the cinema place we had the big SEM meet in southampton?
  7. Well at least get some sponsorship money out of it!!
  8. Directional tyres have arrow marks on them mate, have a look at the sidewall and there should be some arrow marks of some sort. The arrows should point fwds from the top or anti-clockwise whichever way you wanna look at it. if one doesn't theres ya probs. If not you may have a duffer tyre somewhere.
  9. Sorry man that is just GEI all in capitals and all in stick on look at me I am an ass!!! Really Trig how many sad assed scoobs etc have you passed with numerous stickers that scream I have got a valve or a turbo or whatever stuck on have you personally whooped at lights even in an N/A? Soops are about subtlety and stealthy whipping of the uneducated unwashed masses fer chrissakes. Please don't reduce us to the level of be-stickered oafs. If you have to have something chronicled upon your vehicle at least do it in paint man!!! At least try and be reserved like the rest of us old men hey sonny Jim!!! ROFL&PMSL No seriously lose the list Mate and do the stars in paint if you have to have them.
  10. As a very interested party what did the graphs look like on your rolling road??
  11. Do a search I am sure there are links on here to various sites with car specs on!!
  12. How often does this oil need replacing??
  13. So would the UK turbo's complete with manifold (and downpipes??) produce the 326 bhp out of the j-spec engine or not? Also does fuel management need to be altered in any way if you do this?
  14. Welcome welcome from the soop and specifically the N/A community. Stock 17's will just swap straight over and from here can be found for much cheapness generally complete with tyres. I paid £425 for mine fully refurbed with virtually new eagle F1 tyres on. Beware of buying after market jobs as you then get into offsets and stuff so ensure you get ones that are suitable for soops. Also with after market alloys try and ensure that they will allow the UK brakes to fit under in case you ever want to do that MOD. Another thing to bear in mind is that soop wheels are wider on the back (its not just the tyres that are wider its the wheels as well). Hope that helps a bit fella.
  15. Well thats OK then thats allowed lol, cant have enough vent holes!! I have a huge one in the ceiling but it only works in the sun!!
  16. Whats wheel hop??? And if it was a wheel weight missin it would do it all the time. Direction however might need rain on a back tyre before it became really obvious.
  17. Thats just a badge then on the side of the wing?? I thought it was summat semi-usefull like a cooling hole.
  18. OK now I am gonna just beleive ya on that one cos I aint stickin no bits of my body in there to prove one way or t'other lol. :p
  19. Not wishing to spark another argument but I was told that twin kenlo's do cool the engine better than a single viscous does. Then again I was also told by people that I really trusted at the time that Santa existed!!!!
  20. Hey quit slaggin the doors I want a set of them!!! Where did he get the mechanism and how much was it??
  21. Yeah I was quoted a 10 hp gain by replacing the viscous fan with kenlo's but like ya say the power doesn't just not get used it just takes a different route is all. Whilst its in the process it works out your alternator more. Apparently though a pair of kenlo's will cool the engine more as there is more airflow or summat but this is only really an issue on heavily modded motors isnt it?
  22. The power steering cooling tube is a bit exposed to the elements as well. I had a stone chip mine on another car and cause this same problem. I cured my car by prevention by fitting a grill in the front bumper hole.
