  1. I would guess at around £100 if somebody wanted one.
  2. I mentioned rebuilding my own to a friend who builds rally car engines and during the discussion I mentioned the cost and parts availability to him, he immediately said do not touch it have it done by somebody who knows what they are doing, but I think it’s doable tbh they do not look difficult as long as the tolerances are correct when putting it back together I had the case shot blasted and I painted it myself and all the bits plus using my as new jdm big case as a doner for parts but with new oem bearings, seals, crush tube etc. It’s not a cheap project! I am happy with the finished article.
  3. I would use a same day courier, try and find one going to the same area especially if there’s no panic plus they often do it at a reduced rate I have had very good experiences with no packing at all as the item stops on the same van until it’s delivered. Other wise I would build a crate around it and plenty of packing too as I cannot imagine them travelling well
  4. Thanks Dunk I presume you can connect a direct 12v input as there’s only 2 wires so + and - it’s a motor so presume it will just run in reverse if connected the wrong way?
  5. If anyone knows this as it should be more than a jdm big case because of the pipework and cooler. I just want to know I have enough oil before I start! Also I please refresh my memory what brand and spec of oil I should use (I think I have some motul I bought off Chris Wilson but he had a large barrel of it so just dispensed some into an old oil container!)
  6. I thought it looked like a freshly blown over car judging by the overspray.
  7. I probably have one I will have a look on Monday ok
  8. If you put a link up to the advert people on here will most likely know the car or the seller but it will give us more of an idea if nothing else!
  9. 1. Josh42 - Staffordshire 2. blythmrk - Derbyshire/Yorkshire
  10. You can buy conductive silver paint or you could 30 years ago! I am showing my age
  11. I would give them a good coat of wd40 or something and leave till the following day. Some just slide out others are a lump hammer
  12. Not surprised tbh a good clean, straight car should sell quickly even in these strange times. I have just dropped my b7 rs4 into a specialist this morning for a new drc shock absorber fitting and they shocked me by saying they can sell it today for 30k I thought it was 20k max but they stated it’s the best they have seen in years! So again a good honest clean, straight car stands out.
  13. You can still buy the US spec one but it’s 3.133 ratio the 3.266 jdm/U.K. one is discontinued.
  14. As title it’s a long shot if somebody has a 3.266 ratio 220mm big case diff pinion gear as my diff builder has lost/binned my pinion gear (they were refreshing 2 diffs at the same time so I now have a box of bits and 1 rebuilt diff) Maybe somebody has lost a tooth on their crown wheel and kept the pinion gear? If all else fails I will have to buy a new set
  15. He still has it so he’s not sold it! He’s confirmed that to me just now
  16. After all that effort and money Where is the car now?
  17. Shells are a very sought after item especially good solid straight ones. The value depends on what’s on the vin plate too.
