Welcome! We like Pics! As above what's the plans engine wise etc? And not being too nosey, how much was the shell and is it straight?

Its a cracking guide that, last pic should be his first comparison, will guide him if he needs to anything or full flush.

Do you mean you don't know what type has been put in before? As I said above if the atf looks ok and the box behaves smoothly etc leave it, or do the 2L part flush.

If you have no idea, as far as I understand, if the colour is of a burnt red/brown, then change most of it. Equally if it's red, and the box doesn't clunk more than it should, then just do the 1 part (approx 2l) change. Last time I did mine (2l) I used Toyota's own type IV ATF, and is what's recommended on here. If new ATF is added too often then the polymers can sludge up the box.
