  1. looks really brittle mate, have you got a flexi section following that?
  2. Sail always reminds me of that batwing video Your really getting the hang of this now mate
  3. I converted my teins to stock top mounts How much you asking for them? Also interested
  4. You went up to 1 bar? At 1 bar when I was running stock high compression I was developing over 400 Bhp Where is your boost gauge mounted? I have my boost, afr and egt gauges mounted so I can easily see them telling a story of my engines fuelling If your waste gate is mechanically setup to regulate a 7psi boost pressure I'd turn your boost controller off (my HKS controller when turned off allows my waste gate to operate on its own) And watch your boost gauge on a run Then turn it back on and set it to 7psi and see how it behaves then
  5. I'm running the primary rail from its own updated pump and frp And a secondary rail driven by HKS running 2000cc sard injectors and big pump, for Just means I keep my little injectors online and get good idle and bottom end response with nice clean spray pattern And supplement with the second row ow injectors when needed Judging by the very good condition of my pistons/bores/ valves and head, this additional injector system I've been running at 1 bar Has been very reliable and spot on for fuelling
  6. I've actually been a bit boring and just copied the log shape of a couple of plenums I've bought for research Found this to be the optimum flow shape (was going to go with a boxy powerhouse racing style) It's just a fabricated log with na runners welded to it with machined trumpet tops I did a "smoke test" air flow jig under pressure and it has near perfect distribution across the runners
  7. Yep that's the style I use Check the spring, possibly go stronger If the valve moves freely and there's no air leaks past the diaphragm then the spring is just too weak
  8. I'm running a 60mm v band HKS copy with great results Works very well Are you using a boost controller to drive the waste gate, or are you running a really soft 3 psi spring? At very low spring strength settings using the waste gate linked directly to manifold pressure means thevalve can be very easily pushed open and bypass by exhaust gases even before 3psi boost has been reached Personally 7 psi is where I'd start at And a boost controller
  9. I've got a long list of "winter jobs" now Currently rebuilding engine with new valve stems and TT head gasket, will go back on the road as it was until winter Then I'll be fitting my V160 (with quick shifter) and OS GIKEN triple plate And driveshafts Along with my custom plenum and big ass throttle body Battery-to-boot, fuse box shuffle and power steering res move Got a custom set of SARD rails and loads of other bits
  10. I'd check before I start the car (just in case ) run till warm then settle for 10 mins and check again I also run a decent oil pressure and temp gauge and an higher pressure threshold switch for my oil pressure light Common sense level ground hot or cold I think
  11. Go 50 or 60 mm , means you'll never have to worry about boost creep where the smaller waste gates are unable to bypass enough to stop the turbo spooling beyond the boost level you've set it for The v-band 60mm hks copy waste gate is used by a lot if na-t guys (Including myself) and works very well
  12. just a couple of pics a friendly enthusiast took of my supra at a bristol car meet
  13. excellent info post fly, im on na pistons na gasket at 1 bar atm, but will be going na pistons tt headgasket as im aiming at just 600-700 bhp
  14. good luck mate off boost will be completely safe, bet your excited
  15. ive bought decent mig, tig welders from liquidation sales and local tradeit papers, better to get a second hand slightly larger mig thats maybe a little older but with decent torch and proper duty cycle imo small inverter welders are great but unfortunately any with realistic duty cycle ratings are lots of money, dont be fooled by high amperage figures from some cheap plants as they are often at very very short duty cycle with long cooldown periods id go take a nightclass and get an idea of wot you really need first, then take advice from your tutor, instructor
  16. Drooled over this at japfest, is my fave supra I have decided to try and go full ridox widebody myself as it always been my favourite kit Stunning car mate, stunning
  17. innovate , i have the mtx set of gauges and the LM-2 and its very accurate and fast the innovate afr gauge is one of (if not the) fastest most accurate afr available in the 300 and under bracket
  18. Couple of mine (mattdavies mate took them) And some random pics
  19. Haha the convoy was fun, my NA-T performed faultlessly and I almost made it to the club stand clean until another member gave my supra a facial with his excitement Was great to chat and enjoy the club spirit

    am i mad or not

i think the supra 2jzge engine is easily the better engine and the supra wins in looks , just go NA-T , isnt as expensive as you may think although wotever you choose, more power will mean more fuel (i know the supra is heavier)

    am i mad or not

im not a fan of the tt, i love the supra shape and like westy says, the supra always gets more looks and everytime i get out of mine, i always look back at it with a grin would you do that with the tt?
  22. mines just fine with the heatwrap on the exhaust runners - - - Updated - - - looking good mate, wont be long
  23. thats your power steering oil cooler pipe, quite common for these to rust and leak, i know you can get ali replacements, or just replace with oem is a pretty easy job to replace
  24. Awesome, well deserved, I love reading your build threads and looking in awe at the work and detail put in Bet your heads buzzing with sunstroke and winners vibe
