  2. Lovely looking setup, I want those dials Welcome to the NA-T madness May the force be with you
  3. Thanks, I LOVE the classic range rover, even tho they are a nightmare to keep running sweet and functioning lol Still on air suspension (but with updated pump and new air bags) Love it Great to see Dnk with one , I'll be watching this thread!
  4. My full restoration, twr brooklands colour co-ordinated bumpers and skirts, 4.2 Thor Soft dash, cream leather Galv-powder coated chassis, fully rebuilt engine and drivetrain, all inner wings refurbed and galvanised-powder coated, Ali upper tailgate This is my 4th classic, sold my LSE (wish I hadn't) keeping this as the brooklands twr limited editions are quite rare I have loads of spares, and am going to Newbury show ground tomorrow to pick up more at "old sodbury sort out" If you need a hand or some parts gimme a shout mate
  5. Really wanted to come to this , alas my clutch plates haven't arrived from Japan yet Looks like a fun meet
  6. Hehe it's like trying to give up alcohol, junk food
  7. Update , just bought a full overhaul kit from OS GIKEN so I'll have brand new plates ect Land cruiser 3/4" master cylinder mod works perfectly, but plates are very worn (knew this when I fitted the clutch) Can't believe how expensive clutch parts are lol Think ill be refraining from crazy drag launches
  8. Think we've probably got our wires crossed, I just ment that, given the same pedal travel , and the same fork travel, regardless of anything else, the force needed too move the clutch diaphragm is never going to change I'd the clutch pedal as standard won't give enough movement to push the fork , then you have to create more By either using a narrower slave or larger master, either way, the clutch pedal will feel heavier as it's moving the diaphragm more You could theoretically replace the hydraulics with a cable, and given the same mechanical leverage at each end, moving the clutch fork more without increasing the throw on the foot pedal travel means the more effort is needed at the foot pedal That's all I meant The hydraulics of the master/slave won't amplify the force generated from your foot It's like hydraulic leverage, same amount of input travel but increased output travel against a given resistance will increase the input effort needed So I agree with wot you are saying in your last paragraph I probably didn't explain myself properly or clearly

  11. Looks great, NA-T is the nuts IMO I love the flutter sound from mine, so addictive
  12. Without lowering your compression ratio (changing headgasket to a TT one) your limited to a max of 1bar boost Or you'll have det issues You can stick any size turbo on , but bigger spools slower and unless your going for 750 + where you'd need to upgrade internals A t4 flange manifold will support most the turbos you'd ever want to run , so I'd start with a T61 / T67 and see how that feels (600bhp ish) Not too laggy and you can drive on 1bar boost until you lower compression Also if your running a w58 manual box it's limited to 400 ishbhp And I'm not sure wot an NA auto box can take either 400bhp is pretty quick mind you I'd go for a t61 size turbo for drivability and performance that won't require too much supporting mods spent other than piggy back and fuelling
  13. I bought mine from a main dealer in oz Have you already installed the hilux slave? Only reason I ask is because for the clutch pedal travel to generate enough clutch fork travel the force needed will always be the same if the same amount of pedal travel is used (unless the leverage/mechanical advantage at the pedal/clutch fork is changed) So if the clutch fork requires say 2" of travel from the slave then using the full throw of the clutch pedal to generate this will require the same force regardless of master/slave The force needed to release the clutch stays the same (if you always utilise the full master pedal range) Ofcourse using a thinner slave means the same volume displaced by the master will generate a greater throw on the fork (would make the pedal heavier and need to move less Just my 2cents
  14. I bought 2 brand new from Australia , £100 posted Wot clutch you running?
  15. Waiting for my land cruiser clutch master cylinder after having a chatt with a guy from osgiken So in the meantime I've been making custom mounts for my carbon autoshine diffuser And polishing my greddy/trust gear knob
  16. Is say possibly the 40mm wastegate may not be upto the job I'd go bigger 50mm at least , I run a 60mm but I think a 50 should bypass enough to stop boost creep on a turbo the size your running At around 400bhp Maybe check the wastegate you have is moving freely and the diaphragm is ok Use an airline to open the wastegate to check its opening
  17. I have all the industrial polishing gear at work for mirror finishing Ali and stainless But knowing the effort and time (I've done so much at work) I decided to buy DNK's covers It's a lot of work
  18. Awesome sauce! Go go NA-T Can't beat the supra, so much fun to drive and beautiful to look at Well done that's a bargain
  19. Reason for over boosting is lack of wastegate bypass Causes are either sticking wastegate/ not big enough wastegate (unable to flow enough gas past the turbo) Rarely any other reason tbh Even if you have a bottleneck in the wastegate pipe , as long as the pipe itself isn't tiny Then under 400bhp you shouldn't really have any issues A fully open wastegate should be as if that pipe is open ended Get a bigger or better quality wastegate and try again
  20. If its not gonna be used very often, why not just suffer a squeaky heavier clutch with less stock feel to avoid slippage And if its gonna be tracked would an organic, even with increased clamp pressure , last long? Would you really stick to 400?
  21. Awesome bit of info, land cruiser master ordered! Should sort my osgiken out and give me the extra push to disengage it properly
  22. thanks to steve i may have sorted this, theres an adjustment bolt and its a common problem it seems (extensive research on the web lol)
  23. Update , I may be whipping out the OS Giken triple and using a spec clutch from Whifbitz unless I can work out setup issues I'm having with it Don't seem to have enough slave cylinder travel to operate the clutch? Well see Can't wait to get the power down
