  1. "The studs should be installed finger tight. Then, when applying torque to the nut, the stud will stretch only on the vertical axis. An undercut shorter stud will have a rate similar to a longer, standard shank stud. This provides a more even clamping force on the head. Because the head gasket will compress upon initial torquing, make sure studs (or bolts) are re-torqued after the engine has been run." Because this on the arp website http://arp-bolts.com/p/FAQ.php

Same as , the kraftwerks setup , almost identicle, using rotrex sc I originally drove a prototype rotrex setup that was a garden shed prototype Just so happened to look identicle to litchfields offering (only so many ways to skin a cat)
  4. Ok , after installing and torquing down arp head studs to the 80lbs How soon do you re-torque? After the engine has done 100miles? Or sooner, later wot do you all do? Cheers
  5. If the supra battery started the passat then it's not the battery at fault It sounds like either start solenoid contacts or poor connections (earth or positive feed) to starter Check with multimeter or bulb or wotever that you have power to the starter motor (has a continuos positive large size and a switched smaller size cable) If you hear clicking when turning ignition/attempting to crank then the switching power feed to the solenoid is fine And if you have power on the large cable that feeds the starter motor then the problem must be the switching contact in the solenoid (can become carbon covered) In the past to check the motor works ok I've applied power to the motor terminal with a jump lead directly If your supra battery starts the passat then it's fine If your supra high beams and other devices seem to function on then the main earth and positive leads and connections on the battery are probably ok I say probably because sometimes a poor connection can be fine to carry the current needed for bulbs and the like but as soon as you put the load of a started motor on them they break down
  6. Turn your main beams on, if they're pretty dull and get worse when you attempt to crank then it's battery I'd lights seem bright then it may be a poor earth to the starter/or poor power feed to starter Or carbon build up on starter solenoid

I've driven a rotrex supercharged version, with wider wheels/tyres and coilovers (so not exactly standard) And it was great, light snappy nimble But I can imagine the stock setup would get boring And I've seen a couple in showrooms and wasn't impressed with the finish, and think the stock wheels look ugly
