  1. I've owned my car now for 6.5 years now and I still can't imagine selling it it'll be 22 years old in a month Happy anniversary
  2. Insurance groups mean virtually nothing when it comes to premiums. A corsa is more expensive to insure than uk tt6 for me by a lot !!

  4. You'll be banned from here unless I see some pornagraphic seasonal sketches my good sir !!!!
  5. Just left 3 as the coverage is crap and what ever signal I did get was poor. I came out of a tube station in central London can't remember which one and couldn't get a signal !! In central London ... so I left and went to Tesco as they had a Black Friday deal giving me 4gb of date for £10 a month and I get great 4g coverage wherever I go.
  6. Now you explain it like that I am now on the fence
  7. Doing things people can only dream of !! Congrats
  8. Agreed but as you said the air is being pulled through the engine not around the wings so there will be no lift generated.
  9. But the plane isn't moving through the air as it's stationary, the engines don't pull air over or under the wings they are there to push the plane through the air the flaps and ailerons divert air to create the lift needed not the engines. Obviously it needs engines to get the plane travelling fast enough for their to be enough lift created by the air to take off. Another thing to think about is the force of the engine thrust on the runway as the nose is lifted this effectively pushes the aircraft up off the runway as the engines are angled at the runway. E.g if you run on a treadmill is air rushing past you ?
  10. Correct the plane will not take off as it's air passing over the wings generating lift that makes the aeroplane take off. For those that think it will imagine the planes engines cut out in flight does the plane immediately drop out of the air ? No it doesn't as the air passing over the wings still generates lift allowing the plane to glide whilst losing altitude. The plane will be stationary on the belt, it's not moving so it can't take off.
  11. I love the fact that a 6.6l v8 looks so tiny in the engine bay loads of room for twin turbos
  12. 20 years of heat abuse could have eventually taken its toll, is the heat shield still in tact ?
  13. No it's not law currently it's all based on the condition of the tyre and obviously tread depth. If the tread is above legal minimum and there are no cracks , gouges etc then it's legal to drive on. Tyre dressing that people use is like moisturer for tyres are can prevent cracking.
  14. Where does the exhaust system run ? Maybe 20 years of exhaust heat have compromised the rubber to a point where it failed ? That's been used before as the colour bands have gone and it has a stone in the tread so maybe something happened to it while it was used ?
  15. Like I said in the races they BOTH finished Hamilton won more times and if he hadn't had engine failure in Malaysia he would be holding the trophy right now. Rosberg is a good driver and has done well for himself but Hamilton has shown when it comes to out and out racing he is the better driver of the two. We can throw insults around all day but facts are facts, yes Hamilton had poor starts as did rosberg as has every other driver but if Hamilton had finished the races where he had engine failures anywhere in the top 10 he would have had more points than rosberg. Like I said earlier rosberg is a good driver just not a great one, I think the next great driver will be verstappen once he gets a better car, I would love to see him in a mclaren it would be something to behold. Some might say he is reckless even dangerous but he makes watching him race exciting like f1 days of old.
  16. A win is a a win and I'm sure rosberg is happy to take his first title. But let's be honest wheel to wheel Hamilton is a much better driver and between the races where they both finished Hamilton won more times. The only reason rosberg took the title is because of hamiltons engine failures not because he is a better driver. Put verstappen in a mclaren and we would have the most entertaining season for a while, I see trophies in his future.
