    Agree with that, doesn't sound so much when you break it down like that and you can't put a price on losing your legs.

    You should inform the buyer of the age of the tyres and they can make their own decision whether they want to risk their life on outdated tyres. Then you can have a clear conscience if the worst should happen.

    For reference tyres are given a 5 year shelf life

    The dot code doesn't lie I'm afraid those tyres were made in 2002, I don't dispute that you probably bought them recently but they've been sat in a warehouse for well over a decade before you purchased them. When did you buy them ? Whoever sold them to you shouldn't have ! I'd be taking them back and demanding my money back but that all depends on how long you've owned the tyres.

    Those tyres are 15 years old according to the dot number !! If that's true those tyres need replacing and with the defects on the wheels I'm not interested anymore.

    I agree and someone mentioned that surely he would have some kind of insurance or the race would have some kind of liability insurance. I'm not sure how it would work in a situation like this ?

    For that price you need detailed pictures for all the wheels and information about the tyres. If you are going to be charging top money I expect a perfect set of wheels with a matching set of premium tyres with good evenly spread tread depth. I've been toying with the idea of getting mine refurbed but if I can pick up a mint set for the same price then I'll do that instead. As for the pictures upload them to a hosting site such as photo bucket or similar. If these are immaculate with decent tyres we can negotiate a price. Awaiting photos.

    Meant to post about this when I saw this awful crash and now read he's had both lower parts of his legs amputated. The crash is awful it was on BBC website but think they have taken it down. Full speed into a stationary car that was broke on the track There's a just giving page which is over £600,000 with £15,000 donations from lewis Hamilton, verstappen, jenson to name a few.
