  1. I looked into the idea of wrapping but from what I can tell it costs around £1500 for a decent job and you can get a full paint job for around that price and the wraps I have looked at seem to only be good for 5 years or so. I reckon if you had a standard bonnet it wouldn't be too bad to have a go at if you can get the bits yourself but the roof, pillars and door handles would be the tricky bit. The wings and doors etc should be fairly straightforward I would think.
  2. Do you have a stock or aftermarket rad cap?
  3. You should be able to get the passenger side vent out by removing the lower glove box (couple of screws), then undoing the top lid from inside. The Drivers side one I think you need to unbolt the lower panel which should allow you to see the ducting for the vent, hopefully you can pull that out (plastic bolt) and get to the vent.... hopefully...
  4. Maplins are good for this stuff, my LED had a busted leg to I bought a kit of about 20 LEDs and holder to replace it, wasn't very much at all.
  5. I'm over in Guernsey next week in some sort of crap hire car. Having a supra over there could be interesting! It would have to be an automatic for sure and I hope you don't break that 35 speed limit
  6. I'd be up for some sort of meet, I would do the Cribbs meet but it gets dark so early at the moment that I guess those will die out a little till spring.
  7. Those little plastic covers that cover the screws that hold the interior in place.
  8. Sounds like a bargain, I didn't realise you had another supra. If you sell this one I hope you get better and complete the daywalker though although it must be really frustrating not being able to get stuff done at the moment.
  9. I'd keep the cage if its already in. Nobody expects to roll the car. There is at least one member on here (forgot name) that has flipped the car on the drag strip.
  10. I'd deffinately like to go for a built autobox at some point. Looks like SRD are doing a few boxes but maybe cheaper to go six speed. I like the idea of the Titan autoboxes but would be worried about the shipping costs and how much tax and everything else you would get reamed for importing one. I seem to remember Paul had a Titan box in at some point but may have sold it by now.
  11. Oooh I like that one of the nicest sounding supras I have heard in a long time.
  12. I think the main thing people want answers to is why the statement mentions bargain cars direct. This isn't something you need to prepare an answer for.
  13. I am all for a fair trial and if they are linked then they have no place on this forum. Why do I get the impression there will be a cease and dissist from Discussing Paul Brown Cars also known as Boyz Toyz in High Wycombe?
  14. It seems my autobox fluid is pretty low and I have had look through the FAQ but have a question. I have 4 litres of power steering fluid (Dextron 2/3 specification) and remember hearing that PS fluid and autobox fluid are one and the same. Am I ok to use this as long as it meets dextron 3 spec? Or is there an aftermarket (non toyota) type that I can use instead? I'd rather not have to wait an age and have to go and pick some up with Toyotas prices. Thanks for any help.
  15. I'd love something a little louder on mine but I would only buy another custom stainless steel one now, I had one on my old car and it was faultless and same with the supra. I can't justify paying 2 or 3 times as much for something thats going to fall apart in a few years if made from mild steel.
  16. I think Keron keeps replacements in stock (new ones)
  17. Did you spend another night in the car? Must say thats quite a clean cut on the bonnet, nice work!
  18. Not been past that particular travel lodge but there is a premier inn in Bristol right next to the bus station so you could get to where you want to go quite easily. If you wanted to walk to town then the premier inn is slightly further away but might work out cheaper. Money is incredibly tight for me at the moment and living in Bristol myself I might just meet up with some of you guys around Cardiff way and tag along as I wont be able to afford much else. Bristol has a good night life though, that premier inn is quite close to park street which is where you want to be going for decent food and pubs, The apple is worth checking out http://www.applecider.co.uk/?page=about Specialises in Cider which if you are coming to the west country is what you should be drinking, basically it's a boat. The old duke is a very famous Jazz venue and has live music every night of the week, well worth going to this it's also right next door to the Llandoger trow which is another good pub. http://www.theoldduke.co.uk/ There is also a whetherspoons called the commercial rooms where drink is a lot cheaper http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-commercial-rooms
  19. Happened to me also, thankfully I spotted it in time, it's quite common. The stock one is recommended which is what I bought but there is debate about aftermarket ones not being weighted or dampened properly (cheap ones I mean). But there are other people running them quite happily. Hard to know what to do, a solid one you could be fairly sure wouldnt break whereas the stock one you know eventually will regardless.
  20. Again they are both amazing cars, I don't personally like the look of the GTR but then I do think the stock supra looks a little outdated now also but you can completely change the look of it for a few hundred quid. Technically the GTR is a marvell and deserves every bit of it's praise and I would love to get one some day but funds dont allow at the moment. I think Paul Whiffin posted on facebook that he got a quote of £3200 or thereabouts for a new intercooler for the GTR, prices are just stupid for spares at the moment, but then thats pretty much the same as the supra was back in the day (and now for some bits). It takes a few companies to release aftermarket parts to make the investment a little easier on the pocket. Both cars have their good and bad points I am just happy there are a few menufacturers out there that still make fun cars and we are not all sat around driving 1 litre puntos. Apologies to any non supra / gtr punto owners out there.
  21. Getting there now, it certainly is an ugly duckling bonnet at the moment I reckon lose the little vent at the edge, and for the big vents as you say cover them up with a flat piece on top but after that would cutting a letterbox style hole slit at the start of the bulge be a good idea to get some extra cooling in or cause grief with road crap hitting the important bits? Could always fashion a grille there.
  22. I bought a few sets from stormwipers on ebay in the past. I don't believe they are as good as standard washer jets but sorts the problem and your MOT man will be happy.
  23. It was also filmed on a ... private road I believe
  24. Amazing work, there are plenty of cheap NAs around and it really makes picking a second supra up a nice proposition. Aside from the car costs how much would you figure you have spend on the various parts? I figure some new some second hand. You really should start doing some trading stuff.
