    Tyre sizes

rears are 9JJ fronts Are 8JJ. Nearly impossible to get a few places had them when I was looking and unfortunately only ones I could get were Federal ss595 which don't get the best reviews. I got them from a local distributor worked ouit at £65 each fitted. Got them from these guys http://www.cooperbros.co.uk/ ask for Jim Coopers number don't know if they post out though This place has Hercules all season tyres, (canadian brand) nearly got them but went up by £30 overnight, which would have put them over a £100 just for a few months http://www.northhantstyres.com/RTS%20final/2455016.htm These tyres were fitted to older camaros so you may get more info on american car forums
  2. my old Bearded Collie on the beach from a few months back
  3. What soarer club are you on as there are 2 the best one is http://www.soarerworld.com/ Speak to Steve Smith (Smiffie), he runs the Soarer Sanctuary and knows these cars inside out. the other soarer site is no where near as good
  4. Nearly got a low milage myself before getting Supra, was a hard choice heres a vid
  5. remember on xmas eve look for the santa tracker that noraid does. kids can see santa coming across the earth
  6. Just been in my local Home Bargains shop, look for one near you http://www.tjmorris.co.uk/stores/ I got this oil a few months ago from them for next oil change and just noticed they have a few 4ltr containers again, for £8.99 so you will need 2 but it gives you an oil change with a couple of ltrs left over for top ups May be lucky that my local one has it but worth a look anyway, and you will not walk out without anything good prices on other stuff also
  7. Just fitted mine on for winter as well, first time I've seen them on the car as when I collected it my Ultralites were on it. Have to say the stock 16's do look OK and mine are not silver but anthracite black look, ( don't know if this was a OEM look but even the rear of the wheel is this colour), it now gives the car a kind of retro look with small rims and a lot of tyre showing. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/12/ultra-rare-1970-toyota-2000gt-up-for.html http://www.topspeed.com/cars/toyota/1967-1970-toyota-2000-gt-ar10869.html What I would give for one of these
  8. Where to start, I think my car collection would have to include one of these http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/12/ultra-rare-1970-toyota-2000gt-up-for.html http://www.carandclassic.com/car/C110129/#

  10. Cheers will try and get some silicone grease, wish I had a garage:(
  11. Quick question got my car in Febuary this year and noticed that the door glass froze itself to the door rubbers, making it impossable to get in (had to climb in over the back seats) Is there any 'lubricant' to prevent this, ( que sexual the comments) Vasalene is oil based so would perish the rubbers The other Lubricant available are water based so any other suggestions

  16. thanks Gareth will probably same thread on soarerworld, just to save you inputting same twice:)
  17. 255's no problem with clearance I take it don't want them fouling the arches. On anothere forum been given these 2 choices so out of the 3 alternatives to the 245 50 16 which is best ?? 235x50x16 255x45x16 Or 255 50 16 ?
  18. got good tyres on the front wheels so sticking with 16's will 255 50 16 fit?? is 225 width not a bit narrow for the rears considering the stock 16" wheel is a9JJ width ??
  19. Hi all looking for tyres for the GZ stock 16" wheel for the winter (want to keep my 18"s good) The size is 245 50 16 which are a bloody nightmare to get even camskill are not listing them on their website at the moment, The only ones I have found in the UK are from an american car specialist (as a common size in the states), but its a Hercules G3000V, which are coming in at £95+vat which is a bit steep considering I have never heard of them (a Canadian brand). And the bitch is 2 weeks ago same tyre same supplier £65 +vat I have found a supplier on line who has a good range of 245 45 16 tyres is it OK to go down on profile, without any undue handeling characteristics. Cheers
