  1. That's wicked thank you for that, I guess the best way to remove old part is buy using heat?
  2. Just after bit of advice please, I think I know answer anyway but just want it confirmed before order new crank. I removed crank while ago and it dipped in rust protection and wrapped it up, but today doing some work in garage I slipped while using angle grinder and caught the splines on crank. I 99% sure it's now scrap but just want it confirmed please. Have attached few pictures of damage
  3. I agree great read, got the magazine lastnight and enjoyed reading it on nightshift. Top workmanship gone into this build
  4. No worries about all the questions and it's a wet system with 75shot on throttle switch and on average bottle would last about 40 - 50 shots. If you have any other questions or want to know more PM me and will give you my number bud
  5. Thank you very much, that is a 15lb bottle so is quite big, they also do a 10lb bottle which would give you more room for roof in boot, have to say do think your supra is stunning.
  6. Here's how my N/A manual looked last year, currently sat in my garage having forged engine rebuild to go na-t. Loved the way mine drives and it's so much fun when people say it's only an N/A and then smoke um using the nos kit
  7. I will be going for day to have look around, won't be in supra as doing engine rebuild
  8. I think it looks smart, be intresting to see how it sounds
  9. Great write up and good to know kit is of very high standards as will be buying kit in few months once engine back in, but will be fitting the kit myself
  10. Oh also forgot to add, I have treated Sophie to new personalised number plate K800 NOS. Which will be registered to supra within next two weeks. Picture of Sophie getting some sun while waiting new plates
  11. Well has been a productive weekend on Sophie, I have removed the front wings and front cross member. Plan is to clean inner wings and rub down before put on zinc primer and then black stone, am going to take cross member to work and rub down and then prime and paint. Then can push wires through and get engine bay steamed cleaned.
  12. I will be able to come once finished doing engine swap and na-t build
  13. Well thought best do little update on build, I have decided to not do forged build for moment and have got low mileage 2jzge coming in next few weeks which will replace head gasket for standard tt one to lower compression to 9:2:1 and fit the Whifbitz na-t kit with greedy ecu just so can get car up and running again and enjoying her again. Going to paint engine bay and do slight wire tuck before engine goes back in. Then once all up and running will start on some of the bodywork, before start the forged block build, I know will cost more in long run but after loss of young friend it's made me realise got to enjoy life more and don't want to have car in garage for couple years doing build. Am going to aim for about 450bhp with the ge engine and Whifbitz kit to keep gearbox happy and working. Then once start forged build can get better gearbox aswell and do complete change over with aim to run 600-700bhp using my Nos system aswell.
  14. Saw white supra on Frank Perkins parkway Peterborough coming from Hampton towards town/eye.
  15. Well small update, haven't really done anything to supra after lost interest and daily wrote off. Today decided to try strip more of engine and managed remove sump and crank, have checked the bearings and they look fine but am sending them off to be checked just to be sure. All need to do is get rest of the rounded head bolt off so can remove head and pistons. Have been looking at options and am leaning more towards buying forged short block from USA than rebuilding mine as think will cost more to rebuild and the hassle, then just pay garage to fit head and set timing ready for me to reinstall engine.
  16. I may have one in garage, will have look tomoz as off work so can tidy garage as it's a mess
  17. They look really good mate, will be having set from you when rebuild my head
  18. It's an autobahn 88 short shifter and can't remember what it cost
  19. Slight update, haven't really had much progress stripping engine since removed it, duo to my daily car being wrote off few weeks ago. Have finally got new car that pick up end of week so can now get back to stripping engine. On plus note now have all new parts to rebuild head and have finished writing machine programme so will be taking head into work in few weeks and doing full port and polish on one of the CNC machines. Am now in two minds what to do with engine as do I send block and crank to be machined and then buy all new parts and pay for labour to build short block or just buy built forged block from USA and save hassle and expense as it's looking cheaper to buy forged block than build one.
