Well had my mechanic mate round today to double check engine before take her apart and he confirmed it's definitely knocking from back of bottom end. Have included little video of the noise https://vimeo.com/190441060

Yea I was gutted at 1st but going to use it to build my na-t. Going to start stripping bits off soon and aim to get block to SRD asap for cleaning and checking and also fitting see off oil squirters

Cheers chap and not letting it get me down to much as your right she is old car and I have used her and had a lot of joy from her, so will just swap in mates engine and then forge mine so can finally go na-t. I looking at it as opportunity to do some jobs on her and get her and give her refresh. And the engine doesn't seem to vibrate, had mechanic mate listen and he thinks have just pounded bearing and not spun bearing as only makes noise when idle and when give her tiny rev the noise goes and she is as smooth as normal

I think oil pump failed and spun bearings, checked oil level Friday evening before used her and was fine

No the bottle is empty so all the Nos system was switched off

Yea massive shame, I am gutted but gives me reason to finally forge engine and go turbo route, have another engine coming in December so can rebuild mine and fit spare engine so can still use the car

Took the supra to work Friday evening and pushed her little to much having play on A1 with Astra VXR,BMW, R6 and gixer. Lost oil pressure and now have horrible rattle when idling. I suspect bottom end gone but AA man thought could just be oil pump but I dout that. Not how I wanted to get home after work

Do you have the part number at all please? As new boot lid would be best option

It was a seibon one I was looking at, what other companies make carbon boot for the supra? And yea wanted to keep the glass for sure as only reason looking at carbon boot is mine is rusted bad and unsure can be repaired
