  1. Thank you very much, and hoping to have her running in next couple months once get her in. Will order turbo kit and get the braided lines made for power steering as moving reservoir out way ready for FFIM next year.
  2. Well had great day today so pleased with the progress, feels so nice to see the build taking big step forward. BC 264 cams fitted and my HKS pulleys with gates timing belt and Whifbitz billet tensioner. All need now is new engine mounts & clutch to turn up, plus get mate to double check the timing and she’s ready to go back in.
  3. Thank you, appreciate Mawby is out tons of hours and hopefully there are plenty of members willing to help out, I for one would love to do more to help but I haven’t the skills.
  4. With regards to points 2 & 3. How come it’s gotten this bad before mods have started discussing it and trying to resolve it? Not being picky or funny but it’s been on decline for last couple of years and how long have we got to wait before these issues are resolved?
  5. I have to say have noticed the forum going down hill each year, when I 1st joined members seemed more helpful and honest plus the mods were active. For example if someone on here now asks question or advice, members rather pick faults and tell them they wrong rather then being helpful. I work in engineering and get asked the same questions over and over again but I don’t attack the person I explain an answer to tell and try to make sure they understand. Plus I think the mods aren’t active enough at all. Suprachat has fair few good build threads that needs moving to build thread section but nothing as of yet. Plus how many members have waited years for membership packs and lifetime membership after 3 years of paying only way it seems is too keep hastling the mods until they can be bothered. I do think if mods can’t be bothered they should say and someone else takes the position, We are all here for our passion of the mkiv supra and should work together rather than attacking each other for silly reasons and instead of criticising one another
  6. I like, I like bud. Love the fact you got engine in living room. [emoji4]
  7. 1st post updated with pictures of sandwich plate, fuel rail and manifold. Will dig out throttle body tomorrow morning and any other parts fine aswell.
  8. Not good to hear at all mate, I know how your feeling believe me I hate situations like that. I have to say I have heard bad things about JDM garage my mate got engine and was meant to include ecu but when turned up no ecu and had to wait few weeks for ecu to turn it and he kept ringing them and they weren’t intrested at all.
  9. Thank you very much. I didn’t realise SRD done full kit, I know they do a turbo manifold for GE head but duo to placement it requires the dizzy to be removed and I planning on getting her run in on standard ecu then fitting bigger injectors with Link G4+ ecu and then look at removing the dizzy and going coil route. I was originally going to go for the XS power kit but prefer the Whifbitz kit as it’s a lot better quality and direct bolt on which means can get car up and running sooner. Going to have to change the manifold and turbo at some point to reach the 1000bhp target.
  10. My new super lightweight 4.5kg billet flywheel turned up today, hopefully over weekend can get cams fitted and timing done. All need now is Vibre engine mounts and spec clutch and can finally get engine fitted back in bay. Then can order the Whifbitz na-t kit.
  11. I will get the pictures and and prices up over weekend bud[emoji106]
  12. Managed to fit my built port and polished head, was hoping to get more bits done and the cams fitted and timing done, but the rocker covers still need one more coat of paint and didn’t want to fit cams and have top of engine open. Also had slight issue with doing up ARP head studs as didn’t have 12sided 13mm deep socket that fitted but luckily just as was packing up my neighbour had socket so managed to get head torqued down to 80ft lb.
  13. Got few various parts from my build that no longer need, All prices included recorded delivery ARP 2jz main studs set, brand new in box only opened to check £120. Brand new in box Blueprint 4 runner dizzy cap & Rotary arm £35. TT turbo oil sump drain flange £10. Brand new D1 spec oil sandwich plate with two sensor ports £20. Also have used D1 spec sandwich plate with 2 sensor ports £15. N/A inlet manifold £35. N/A fuel rail £25 Standard N/A cams with verniers. 1994 standard OEM engine mounts.
  14. Horrible to see, let’s hope everyone makes a good recovery
  15. I used CP pistons in my forged build
  16. Little more progress on block today, fitted water pump and oil filter housing nothing major, I was planning on fitting head over festive period but opened the ARP head stub box and they had put in mains stud by mistake so have emailed ARP about it and ordered new set from Whifbitz. So when they arrive can get finally get my ported & polished built head on.
  17. I am currently doing an NA-T forged build, and have built the block to handle 1500bhp and just had all the head ported & polished, I will be going for the Whifbitz na-t kit but my end goal is around 1000whp. End of the day you need to build the car to what you want from the car, and I know loads of people say the W58 is always the weak link but like comment above if go gte engine once push is it over certain power it’s still a weak link. The R154 and V160 are very expensive options but there are better cheaper options out there. People always say NA-T is a waste of money and always better to go GTE swap but that’s only because we are so far behind the times over here in UK, I mean none of the big supra specialists even offer built GE heads, just look at some of the Australia and USA 2jz-ge options they offer so many different types of manifolds plus they do front facing inlet manifolds with different throttle body options aswell.
  18. That’s a myth the W58 can handle around 550 if not driven like stole it. Lots of examples in other countries running over 500 with W58
  19. Cheers bud [emoji106] Yea built few engines in past but always hate mate Craig helping together we rebuilt my old S2 Rs Turbo and couple of his mkiii supra’s 7m engine and also his 1jz. But unfortunately he passed away few years ago half hour before his 40th bday and it’s been such a struggle doing it on my own. I did take engine block to mates garage as wanted someone to check all gaps and tolerances which was big help as it’s always good to have extra eyes to check getting same gaps. I ported & polished the head myself at work on cnc machine and then just have head place match port inlet and outlet. Having own stamp on build is defiantly the best thing about doing it
  20. Yea I have been thinking about putting up bad review for companies that let me down, just need to do it constructively as know will will go overboard if not thinking straight. The one that has shocked me the most is king bearings as have emailed them few times and haven’t been nasty at all and haven’t had single reply at all.
  21. Glad to know I not only one lol. And yea building it by myself at home done well so far, and just need to be clever with space I only got small two bed house and small garage but I put the bits in plastic boxes and stacked them out way under bed and in reptile room plus all the body work is in rafters in the garage. It’s great sense of pride and pleasure doing it yourself would recommend it to everyone as any one can take a car to garage and pick it up when done. And when’s it done can say I built that and no one can take that away from you
  22. Cheers guys and yea I def going to ring around today and see if can get set of head studs sorted. It is long expensive build but I know will be worth it. Just guess it’s all part of the journey. I am little bit annoyed at myself as I should of checked when they turned up but thought keep them wrapped up and protected from any dirt.
