After fixing my swimming spark plugs with help from fellow members I'm now searching for answers to my whistle noise after fitting a 1st decat? I wouldn't have thought it was a blowing noise but could be wrong, has anyone experience this before? the noise is more apparent 3 and 5 secs into recording.

all is well, after a few miles the supra is healthy again! now I just need to figure out what's making this whistle noise? It's only come apparent after fitting my whifbitz 1st decat.. Maybe it's blowing abit??

Only get half hour for dinner but managed to blow all the water out leavin the plugs in then run out of time so test run at 3.30 fingers and toes crossed!

Was just going to remove leads and blow the water out of the chambers at dinner, but wasn't going to remove the plugs.. Would I need to remove them too? I will put a new clamp on the tb hose to rule that out! Thanks

Possibly but I don't think it rained last night.. After I dried it out the best I could I fired her up and everything seemed ok, but I come to drive it this morning and it ran rough again, so I inspected the chambers again and they still had water in there! Problem is the hose at the back of the head isn't easily accessible.. What's the best way to get to it Keron? Is it head off job?

just realy want to thank everyone that responded you guys was spot on! turns out 6, 5 , 4 cylinders were swimming in water. 4 was realy bad but i didnt have time to search for the cause of the problem, so when i come to do a service im going to need to find out whats leaking, will check the hose on the head thanks keron. also i need the torque settings for the rocker cover bolts

Thanks nic your not the 1st to suggest it might not be firing on all cylinders.. will check dizzy cap, leads and plugs tonight! I have got a slight oil leak from the rocket covers? Maybe the plugs are soaked? Hopefully I can get this sorted?

Thanks noz just changed the title i though it was just the cat that had gone but didnt get any better after changing it, I did remove one of the o2 sensors but only to change to the decat.. Will check emissions

Come to start it last week and instantly could hear it struggling to idle, kind of like when the ecu has been reset and runs rough for a few miles, so got on the motorway to give it a good blast but it was realy struggling to get up to speed then the cat sensor warning light came on, so I thought the 1st cat had collapsed blocking the exhaust.. So I bought a decat to replace it only to find it hasn't solved my problem just got louder!! Engine seems to be very hot but temp needle is stable? If I drive realy careful barely pressing the accelerator it doesn't sound too bad? But sounds horrible accelerating like the exhaust is blocked, after looking at my 1st cat it doesn't look blocked or collapsed?? The only thing I have tried was rest the ecu?

I know nothin about lacquer but what he told me was he uses 2pack?? Will that do? I sanded them too 2500 grit so il just go back over them with 1200 and give that go!

That's a good question im not sure if they will be legal although my mate does my m.o.ts and I do have a spare set!

thought i would post the results so far, so almost a month later and no fingers i have sanded all the lacquer off both sides resulting in de-lining the lenses which im pleased with but i am struggling to find the willpower to get rid of the rest of the scratches!!! i have come to terms that i cannot just polish them out, and reaaaaly dont want to sand them again if i can get away with it.. so what im wondering is if i have them lacquered again will it get rid of the remaining scratches and and make them clear again?

any updates noz, since im struggling to find a drivers side facelift light i may be interested in both pre-facelift and facelift rings.

I did some snooping and pinched this picture from marks thread.. think they look the nuts!! cant wait to see the end result noz

after sanding my pre-facelift lights and polishing them up i must admit they did come up nice but after seeing the results with these i was very impressed! just a shame the cracked up.

i have my suspicions he didnt clean them well enough. it would take alot of sanding to get it all off and brings a tear to my eye thinking of doing it, unless someone has any other suggestions i think i will just look for another lense?

exactly what i thought but thats what the bodyshop guy suggested to try?? had a little wee when i was doing it! it didnt melt them anyway just opened up the cracks more.

They are well and truely ruined!! this is afer i attempted to remove the lacquer with thinners, wasnt sure if i could soak them for too long so this is the out come.. they would have looked quality if they didnt crack so i will not be giving up!! but think i may be looking for a passenger lense as i have a spare drivers side.

true.. maybe not a good idea to laquer the inside??

well guys i eventually got myself a set of facelift headlights that needed a refurb so i rubbing them down 800 - 1200 - 1500 - 2000 - 2500 wet n dry, then a plastic polish kit and plasticx. now they looked good but i read some where to laquer them to get them crystal clear.. so i though it would be easier to give them to the bodyshop next to work to have a play. he came over to me before finishing to tell me the laquer was cracking and seperating! has he not degreased them well enough or have i got the whole laquered headlight information wrong and ruined my lenses??

i have these wheels and buckled my front, nothing too bad but most places wouldnt touch it. took me a while but i managed to get a spare, pretty sure it was off keron? failing that recover some money from selling me your rear tyres..

long shot but need these so i can take my pirelli's off.. can no longer put up with the archs rubbing! im looking for 4.5 - 5mm atleast since it might be a while untill i can afford new. cheers guys let me know what you'v got.
