  1. Gauging interest before I fit my engine back in? Ideally I want to upgrade the clutch ready or my na-t so possibly up for grabs is a exedy clutch which looks like its got loads of life still in it!! It Never slipped and was a real nice drive.

    Na-t build

Did you use tuning developments in the end? iv been talking to them about doing mine? would be interesting to know what results you got and how the stage 2 clutch is holding up.. awesome build mate
  3. same issue here, i cant fit the clips over the leads. but I have a plan, I cut the flange off for the wastegate and had it welded back on so it would clear the subframe, cost me £20 I was so impressed with the quality of his work I'm going to have a chat with him tomorrow and see if he can weld my turbo flange back on in a better position, 1-2cm out. this will most certainly solve my down pipe issue too!! But like noz said every manifold will be different.
  4. Cheers guys made my mind up to pull the engine, I found this thread real useful for anyone doing it. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?136136-NA-to-TT-engine-transplant-step-by-step-guide-(Pic-heavy) I'm more than likely going to leave the gearbox in and loom attached. Will be changing rear seal and water pipe at the back of the head while I'm at it!
  5. What troubled you most listy? So if I was to pull the engine I'm guessing leaving the loom connected would be a good idea? What about the gearbox should I take the lot out in one? I was hoping I might have got enough room to remove the sump by just lifting the engine a little and dropping subframe a bit?
  6. Would it be easier to remove the subframe than removing the engine on a n/a? I need to remove the sump so i can drill and tap it for my oil return. I have tried searching for a guide but couldn't find anything, in my head dropping the subframe would be quicker and easier?? Is there anything else to consider other than support engine, remove 2x nuts for the mounts, 6 bolts/nuts for subframe, steering rack, brake lines and roll bar?? Any tips you can share would be much appreciated
  7. Looks awesome mate, Well done! I'm loosing patients with my 4" dp have you any pictures fitted? I'm leaning towards cutting off my turbo flange and moving it out slightly, it would solve most of my issues.
  8. No mate wirings all done, when I came to set the jumper settings the EMU i bought (b series) doesn't have a jp21 so was just wondering if all the other settings would still be the same as what FOSTA posted? What is jp21 for? Jp - 1 - open jp - 2 - open jp - 3 - open jp - 4 - open jp - 5 - open jp - 6 - open jp - 7 - 1-2 jp - 8 - 1-2 jp - 9 - open jp - 10 - 1-2 jp - 11 - open jp - 12 - open jp - 13 - open jp - 14 - open jp - 15 - 1-2 jp - 16 - open jp - 17 - 1-2 jp - 18 - open jp - 19 - 1-2 jp - 20 - 1-2 jp - 21 - 1-2
  9. My build started half hour ago.. Then it started raining, I'm not blessed with a warm garage to work in so I'm stuck with working in the grove with nagging kids asking me millions of questions! I use my car daily so i did odd jobs on the weekend to keep it mobile, so far fuel pump, EMU wiring, gauges, fmic and piping has all been done, now I'm at the stage of no return.. Drilling the sump. Jumper 21 I'm also still unsure about? And weather the settings will be the same as posted in club na-t
  10. I don't know how true this is but I read on club na-t you can swap #1 lead with #2 lead??
  11. Well I'm glad someone managed to fix there's im still idling at 1k.. when I cleaned the tb could I have disturbed the tps? I did open the valve manually to clean it but that's how Iv always done it? I did a vacuum test and removed the throttle cable but it stays the same! Failing that I'm thinking of trying another icv?
  12. Thanks chris you've been very helpful. I will give it ago tomorrow
  13. Cool one thing I did notice is when the cable isn't connected the throttle mechanism relaxes and has a smaller gap. Will this be the position it should be at? I'm thinking run the engine without the cable connected and see what it idles at then in theory I can adjust the cable?
  14. There's no pipe work connected to fmic, I just left it mounted so it was one less job to do? Il take it off and see if it helps. I will also try and slacken the throttle cable off abit but the nut in the picture didn't move when I took it off. If none of that works I will check for air leaks. Thanks
  15. Can anyone confirm if the throttle cable looks ok? There's abit of plastic showing is this normal? I cleaned the tb again which has completely cured the sticking idle valve but it still idles at 1k?? The only things I have done to the car is mount a fmic since I'm going na-t but can't see how that could be the problem.
  16. i still cant find any information on jumper 21? im going to test the ecu today, hopefully it powers up so i can finish off the wiring. what i would like to know is when i connect the ecu to the laptop does it auto update or do i need to go online and find a specific software update and install it while its plugged into the car? and can i just use the basic wiring ie power, map, rpm and tps to update?
  17. cough cough http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?287211-na-t-owners-4-quot-dp-mp-swap-for-3-quot
  18. i did loosen off the securing nut for the throttle cable but it didnt help, after resetting the ecu and clocking a few miles its stopped sticking, but idles at 1k so at the weekend i will replace the tb gasket and give it a good clean again, this time cleaning out the channel where the idle control valve fits. where can i find the torque settings?
  19. Can anybody running a b series Emu confirm if the jumper settings posted in club na-t will be the same since we don't have a jp21 Thanks
  20. I think the throttle cable is ok, I cleaned the icv yesterday the best i could without removing the tb and gave it a run this morning, now the revs are not sticking as much but are still higher than normal, I will try the cheaper options first ie clean tb and icv properly this time and replace the gasket that's in desperate need of replacing!! Where can I get one of these from?
  21. I'm having the same problem here folks did you find what was at fault? I'm suspecting my issue is with the icv? If I use clarksons trick And give it a little tap, the rpm drops back to normal? Car was running fine until I removed the tb?
  22. I have a B version emu which doesn't have a jp21 will all the above settings still apply?
  23. Turned out to be blowing after all! Put some exhaust sealer around the joint and it stopped for a while. Try loctite 5920
  24. Sorry should have said I don't actually have one fitted yet.. I have the b.o.v but no flange, if anyone could measure them up it might help others too?
