This is the stuff I’m using and there’s a great video tutorial on the website. https://www.easycomposites.co.uk/200g-profinish-coated-22-twill-3k-carbon-fibre-cloth They do a package deal but I would recommend putting your own together and go for the 210g ProFinish 2x2 Twill 3k Carbon Fibre Cloth (1000mm) the kits don’t come with the pro finish cloth. It has a resin binder on the reverse side and keeps the weave together during handling and positioning. You will also go through the epoxy resin very fast! If you don’t have a dremel buy one!! I wouldn’t have been able to trim the cloth and sand down the resin drips so neatly without it.

Thought I’d give carbon fibre skinning a crack, Iv always hated the rear speaker boxes that the previous owner made so used them as practice. The plan was to replace them with oem speaker grills but I think they’ve turned out pretty good. Feeling abit more confident I moved onto doing the dash panels. Starting with a spare ignition panel, you can see one of the holes I filled is showing in the weave but once I applied the resin and flatted it out it’s hardly noticeable. 2 more panels to go and I’m already looking for other parts to do. Once I pull the car out of the garage I will get some better day light photos. DAY1 Key the surface and apply the base coat 3-1 ration - leave for 2hours until tacky stage Lay carbon fibre and trim Leave for 3 hours 3-1 resin thin coat to wet out the fabric Leave for 8 hours DAY2 120 grit sand paper de-nib and flat any high spots Key the surface 3 coats of resin each coat needs 2 hours to reach tacky stage Leave for 8hours DAY3 Flat with 120 grit Then 240 Apply final coat very thin application Leave atleast 8hrs DAY4 Wet sand 400 800 1200 machine polish or lacquer

Priorities have changed and I don’t intend to fit this anymore, bought it brand new from srd maybe 2yrs ago, I think I opened the box to have a peek inside and then stored it away. Would £1200 be a fair price? I don’t really like the idea of posting so collection from Manchester m23 1pd would be ideal. Delivery might be an option depending on my job locations

I have a brand new Link g4x SupraLink 2JZ Non VVTI Plug & Play I might be persuaded to sell. Make me an offer

I wonder if John @hodge would be able to help, He made my braided bypass hose which is still on the car after all these years!
-
Il get under the car tomorrow and find out exactly but my guess is the hard lines have gone! So any clue what size, length, unions/fittings etc I need or do I have to do it the hard way. il get some braided lines made up asap

Old thread but right up my street, recently found a puddle of fuel under the car near the fuel filter, not inspected it yet but wondering if there’s any kits out there to replace the fuel lines.

Fitting Borgwarner turbo with xs power manifold na-t
ballsdeep replied to ballsdeep's topic in Supra Chat
Oh well that’s a deal breaker! I don’t want to be changing manifolds! Back to the drawing board on the plus side maybe I can now find a turbo that doesn’t complicate things with a morman flange! -
Fitting Borgwarner turbo with xs power manifold na-t

That SRD manifold is stunning!! Wish I had the funds to get one! I’m about to order a link g4x too so I could really do without having to change manifolds too! With any luck it will fit? -
Fitting Borgwarner turbo with xs power manifold na-t
ballsdeep replied to ballsdeep's topic in Supra Chat
I think it was your post that I read. Was it close to fitting or no where near? I’m placing my order tonight for the 362 so I might find out the hard way! What manifold did you end up using? -
Appreciate the offer but I’m leaning towards the link i would keep the EMU but I’d like to go cop and it’s abit dated now! I’m not going to pretend I know anything about them but it seems to be a popular choice.
-
Who doesn’t like a bargain, I have the link g4x and a borgwarner s362 in the basket. Just thought I’d see if anyone was looking at selling first.
-
Whifbitz have the G4x for £1026 but I’m tight so if I can save a few quid I might be able afford fuel too.

I’m potentially looking to upgrade my 2jzge na-t ecu. I’m currently using the emanage ultimate but feel it’s time to go standalone. anything about? mainly been looking at link and aem.

Fitting Borgwarner turbo with xs power manifold na-t
ballsdeep replied to ballsdeep's topic in Supra Chat
Exactly what I needed to hear, I don’t want to be too restricted and was initially looking at the s366 until I read it doesn’t fit the xs manifold. is your s364 on the xs power manifold and what power did it make. Mines making 390 now but it does worry me that the gearbox won’t hold up, the plan has always been to put the r154 in at some point. -
Anybody else buy parts for a car they no longer use? Iv barely covered 200miles in the last 4years and I still spend more money on it than I do my wife and kids! It’s been na-t for over 8years now and it desperately needs upgrading! Currently looking for a new turbo and ffim. standalone ecu will have to come later on down the line. I really want to keep the xs manifold seeing as it’s been without fault for the last 8years but I’m worried if I choose the wrong turbo I might have fitment issues? I’m led to believe the s366 is too big and fouls on the runners so I have been looking at the s362 sxe but would like to know if it fits before I bite the bullet. Can anyone confirm this? I’m not completely sold on the borgwarner so any other recommendations on turbo choice would be great! It’s probably not a huge budget but would like to keep it under £1000. I’m not trying to chase numbers being w58 so I’d probably be satisfied with 450-500bhp but certainly don’t want to be too restricted incase I replace the gearbox.

Thanks for the part number I googled it and came up with this image. I’m now thinking it’s part number 90950-01676 going off it being in the middle.

How much are Gary’s? any good used ones about?
-
Dare I ask how much these go for now? Possibly looking for one I can paint up so needs to be in half decent condition!
-
I can’t help but I hope you plan on taking pictures I’m hoping to drop my subframe soon.

I found this image and it does seem like the barrel tabs should be on the outer skin, I reckon the body shop has bolted the handle back on with the barrel tabs on the inside causing the recess to push out.
-
Mine never had them and it wasn’t like this before it went away.
-
I can’t seem to get the barrel to sit flush inside the handle. It went out for paint and came back like this. They had installed the barrel with the tabs on the inner door skin but I think the tabs should be on the outer door skin am I right? Trouble is when I tried do it this way the handle doesn’t want to sit flush against the door? Am I missing something here or just need to be a big boy and tighten it down?

Iv spent years pondering over buying new rims and still don’t know exactly what size to go for I’m currently on 19’s but think I would prefer 18’s. I’m also having the rear arches rolled but don’t ask me why because I still don’t have the knowledge or the brain power to work out what et width etc I need did you find some wheels you like?
