  1. wait until I tell the other hal you called her a guy . . . . . . . just joking, if it was mine then thanks for the compliment (on the car)
  2. It would be good to have a meet somewhere near and meet all the local supra owners, I only live in westerhope, just up the slip road from kingston park. I know there are meets in sunderland but its a 20-30 min drive each way and thier seems to be quite a few members close bye.
  3. LOL, I seen a black one in kingston park tonight aswel, so thats 5 so far.
  4. Could have been mine aswell I have a TRD spoiler and top secret front, check out my garage.
  5. Seen a Black Supra in Kingston park at about 7pm tonight (wednesday) Had a Vailside Spoiler and a guy was driving. Seen you at the roundabout, I was in my silver soop.
  6. I find elephant alot cheaper than sky. This time round sky's quote was £1600 fully comp but elephants was £1180 Im 23 with 1years no claims. I was 22 when I got both quotes. Elephant let you insure your mods online now aswel so no more ringing people to get a quote or take out a policy, they have made it very easy to use and you can fiddle with the info as long as you want to get the price down very happy with them.
  7. Hi, is the trial rear still for sale? What colour is it?
  8. I love the top secret bumper (that’s why I have one) but Iv already destroyed it once and repaired its very low and hits everything so the next time I manage to brake it (hope its not soon) I think I may get a stillen as its not a fibre-glass bumper and will take bumps and scrapes a lot better, it looks nice as well, kind of subtly aggressive if you know what I mean.
  9. You could always get a nice N/A and then turbo it as funds increase, that way you get your soop for now (they do look nice ) and you can almost double the power when you have the spare cash.
  10. I wish I never read this thread, what a bummer my GZ is nearly 14 years old with under 50,000miles cost me a fortune and now im going to live in fear that its arse end is going to drop off Is it based on age? surely it should be based on milage? (I can hope)
  11. Yeah I was going to do that but It would have cost me an extra £20ish to buy the tap and the extra bolts, doesnt sound a great deal but its extra money and time I shouldnt need to spend. The Arildite done the job for me (I already had it sitting about), just hope it lasts. I cannot understand why they didnt just use an M6 thread in the first place:blink: would have saved a lot of bother for people. Even if they did want to use there own wierd and wonderful thread they could at least supply new bolts to suit. Who knows, maybe they done it on purpose for a laugh. Anyway, to help the guy who started this thread it looks like the bolts you need dont exist and the way forward is very good glue or to get an M8 tap. Just curious and hope no one minds me asking here (I know its in the wanted section but its kinda on topic) but for everyone that has managed to fit one of these SMIC are you happy with the results? did you notice any improvement?
  12. I had this problem aswell, what a pain the arse it is, its a direct replacement SMIC but for some stupid reason who ever made it didnt think about just tapping an M6 thread in there to make it a replacement they used some stoneage thread no one knows exixts anymore. I stripped everything to bits went to fit it in and oh the bolts dont fit. I took mine to B&Q, Motorfactor places and a bolt specialist and couldnt get anything to fit what so ever, so out came the Araldite and I glued little lengths of M6 thread rod in the holes and used bolts to hold it onto the mounting points and thats the only way I could get around the problem. Its stupid really because for the price they seem a well built replacement SMIC and they probably work very well but what a shame they are sush a pain the arse to fit properly when all they needed to do was to tap the right thread in there in the first place, it wouldnt have taken anylonger or cost anymore but probably couldnt be arsed to find out what thread it actually needed to be. Anyway, Il shut up now and just say Araldite is the way forward
  13. The 'GReddy Boost Cut Controller, £100' and the 'HKS Fuel Cut Defender, £112' are the same thing are they not. . .
  14. I would be very interested in a group buy for this bit of kit, good price aswell
  15. I have a Nur Spec R and love the sound it makes, I payed £350 for mine second hand with a couple scrapes on the boxes, this one looks more battered than mine did but as long as it works its a very good price especially including a decat, good look with the sale but I think you'll sell it no bother.
  16. I just changed my old SMIC for a Miami GT SMIC, I also had this debate and wanted the looks of the FMIC but took everyones advice that a SMIC is more than sufficient for a BPU car. I have a top secret front so I took an original SMIC air duct and modified it to fit the top secret bumper so the air has to pass through the intercooler, worked for me. When I asked the same question most people said that a FMIC is just overkill and would be more laggy than having a new SMIC and seen as I was more interested in having the car running to its best rather than blingy (they do look nice though) I opted for the SMIC and it does its job perfectly.
  17. I have been thinking about going to this . . . Can anyone have their car on the club stand? if so when do you have to be their? Also is anyone from the North East going to this?
  18. Elephant, they are cheap for me, no one could get near thier quote, not even sky
  19. If toyota say use 10w30 part synthetic would it not make sense to stick to that but in a fully synthetic, that way you have the benefit of better protection with the fully synthetic but are using the correct weight oil for the engine, or am I way off here.
  20. I resized mine 7 times! and what a pain it was. Mine was a 2mm thick stainless stell jobbie and I used a good quality round file, it worked but Im sure I lost a stone that day.
  21. I can never make meets on a sunday as I work them all and as far as I know they are all on sundays But I am changing job soon so I might meet some of you eventually. But I would also be up for a meet if anyone else is, it would be good to speak to you all and have a look at your cars. It would be good to also have a meet in Newcastle for a change. I did try to go to one of the meets at the stadium of light after work on sunday and when I got there, thier was no one to be seen. I take it everyone runs away early.
  22. LOL, we rang a couple places up that do this sort of driver training C1 is for mini buses so they say and D1 is for larger vehicles (over 16 seater I think) but cant remember exactly (the other half rang and then told me while I was busy, I just woke up when she told me the average cost was £1500. She may pass quicker and it may cost less but I think thats about the price you pay. Rubbish if you do pay all that and you cant get in for years I thought, but never mind Thanks again Chris. Iv just ordered that package from the web site its only £10 and may be very usefull. Thanks again
  23. Thanks guys, we checked online and it gives you a bit of info but it doesnt give you much detail at all on where to start or how to get in. We know she cant just jump in as a paramedic, she will have to start somewhere, ambulance technician or care assistant, something along those lines but where would be the best place to start? If you could be so kind and find out if they do put you through driver training that would be a big help, cheers guys. We have sent e-mails asking these questions but we have never had a reply Thanks again
