  1. I have a boost problem that seems to be getting worse but I just can't find it When I put my foot down the first turbo usually boosts to about 11psi but lately it only boosts to 9psi and then when the second turbo comes on it boosts to 14-15psi but it usually boosts to 16.5-17.5psi. This isnt the only problem because when Im crusing along and plant my foot, the auto drops a gear the engine hits high revs and then I get about 3psi boost now it used to do this but not that much but its getting alot worse now. If I left my foot on the loud pedal until it chaged gear it used to boost normally but now even when it changes gear it still stays at 3psi until I take my foot of and plant it again, even then I have to try a few times to get boost again. What could this be? Could it be more than one problem? Iv searched for loose hoses but couldnt find anything in that department, Iv read it may be the EGCT (I think) but how do I tell?. This problem is getting worse and annoying because its making my car horrible to drive I dont even like to try and overtake now . Any advice would be appriciated, I would really like to get this solved. Envy isnt far from me but I would like to see if I could fix it myself and save alot of money if I can. Thanks guys.

  5. Im really sorry to hear that Greg, I know how it feels to loose pets and it really does suck You seem to have more bad luck than anyone else but I really do hope it starts to get better, you deserve some good luck for a change
  6. I have a pair of Mk4-5 ford fiesta rear lights. They are in very good condition and come with the foam sealing ring, bulb units and bulbs (they were all working when I took the light out) Im after £30+p&p
  7. I have a Stock SMIC sitting in my garage. Most of the fins are still in, although a little fragile (as usual) I did scrape a couple off to see what condition it was in before I got a new one. It is in full working order with no leaks etc I just decided it was time to upgrade. It was off my 93 so its quite old but in decent nick (better than alot Iv seen posted up.) so if you have a completely stuffed one or a leaky one then this would do as a cheap temporary replacment. Im open to offers.
  8. Oh, I didnt know that. I thought it would be like everything else from toyota and cost your left bollock. Mind you thats cheap for a genuine part but never mind and thanks for letting me know I gues its maybe worth £25ish+p&p then And no Sheefa iv not painted it yet LOL.
  9. LOL, no not yet, I thought I would try and sell at £40 first as the paint and stuff will cost about a tenna, but seen as their is no interest I think I will take your advise and paint it black, then re-advitise.

  11. They are around the prices I got quoted when I first got mine was it from elephant/admiral by any chance. I searched for a UK for a little while and then gave up when I seen my current car in a show room, I had to have it, you'll find the right one eventually. But for 8K youll be looking at a TT j-spec auto probably standard ish aswell. Hope you find what your looking for though

  13. I got recommended 5w40 silkolene pro S from oilman for my TT, it has about 50,000miles. I think if you put colder plugs in now before you increase the boost they dont get up to their operating temp and can foul up eaier causing a missfire, best to put them in as soon as your boost is sbove 1bar I would guess. I used NGK BKR7EIX (iridium plugs) and they work perfect for me

Why not get a TT to start with, I found that the insurance for a N/A and a TT were exactly the same, and I mean to the penny same 8K will get you a good TT probably an auto but dont throw away the thought of an auto until youve drivin one, they are pretty good I think a N/A is about 220bhp and TT are around 300-320 bhp although on paper it says that j-spec TT's are 280bhp people tend to find they are higher when dynod.   17. Mine is acting up aswell, something is causing my boost to be lower than normal and I cant find what it is Plus I think my EGCV vsv is a bit sticky sometimes.

  19. How much are you after for the fuse box covers sheefa?
  20. How much are you wanting for the turbo kit and the fuel kit? Am I right in thinking that this kit is good for around the 500bhp mark (flywheel) How much for the ECU also? Are they new or second hand?
  21. Nice write up When my tubbies die I would like to go single but I have an auto. Do you know if the Auto box would work fine with a similar set up to yours or would it just die?
