    Idle

Mine revs at about 1600 cold and then goes down to about 650 when its warmed up
  6. people find an internal hole of 2" usually brings boost down to about 1bar
  7. Yeah but thats what you pay from some of the traders on here, just go onto there web pages. and yes I bet you can get them for far less than £25 but you have to know where to get them from cheap in the first place. Im sure when I was looking for mine the cheapest I could find at the time was £20 through the traders on here (new)
  8. yeah I know, I bet they cost a couple quid to make
  9. thats cheap, they usually cost £20-£25 + P&P so worth buying
  10. beat me too it with a much better copy and paste
  11. When you take the cats out you need to fit a restrictor ring, its a plate of metal with a smaller hole than the bore of the exhaust. I f you dont or you havnt fitted one you will be overboosting by a great deal, you also need to fit colder grade spark plugs or you will more than likely get a missfire. The colder grade plugs usually have a smaller gap which is what you need when the boost is increased above stock. You also need a Fuel Cut Defender. The supras have a saftey fuel cut set at about 1bar so when you mash the loud pedal and you see over 1bar for more than 3seconds I think it is the ECU will bring fuel cut on. A fuel cut defender will remove fuel cut completely or raise it to 1.25 ish bar depending on which unit you buy. Many people aslo upgrade the fuel pump as a saftey thing as an old j-spec fuel pump is consideresd not up to the job for fueling 1.2bar. anyway iv rambled abit and although you didnt want to know what BPU is it sounds like thats what your aiming for and your problem could be any of the three iv mentioned. Your 'missfire' could be plugs, fuel cut and is probably caused by too much boost. Thats asuming yoy have an aftermarket exhaust aswell.
  12. try elephant online, Im with them, cheap too. Im 22 with 1 years no claims my car is a tt auto (GZ) and I pay £1180 or something like that.
  13. thanks guys, iv been speaking to andy at miami gt, i was going to buy one of his SMIC and he also said he has the ducting he will throw in for me so i think im sorted but I know where to go if I need another. Thanks guys
  14. Thans for the info. as mentioned there is a big mouth on the front of the top secret bumper which will benefit a FMIC I guess. So if I create some sort of ducting to prevent the air from going around a FMIC will enough air pass through to cool the radiator aswell? Also sheefa, how much did you pay for your G-readdy 2-row if you dont mind me asking and does it come with polished pipes etc. Thanks
  15. hi guys, Im after the original ducting for the SMIC if anyone has it. My car came with an aftermarket front so didnt have one and Id like to try and modify the ducting to fit. Thanks
  16. I guess they havent been tested and the SMIC is cheaper, does the job and a good point by merkx I dont have to declare to the insurence. But I have an aftermarket front bumper so as I found out the SMIC looses its advantage over a FMIC as the original air ducting is lost. But say it wasnt the miami GT intercoolers, I know people highly recommend CW SMIC and also think the G-ready 2row FMIC is v.good now out of those which have been tried and tested by members and I gues lots of others which would be best suited to a BPU car with an aftermarket bumper? Thanks for all the replies and help guys I just want to get it right first time when I buy one.
  17. So with my after market front bumper gone the SMIC doesnt have an advantage over the FMIC, so would the FMIC now be the better performing one? Does anyone know how much power the Miami GT FMIC can support? Thanks for the help guys
  18. I have a top secret type 2 front bumper so will a SMIC still be as efficient? Like I said before I love the look of a front mount but if its not going to be as good Il go for a new side mount. So why is a SMIC better than a FMIC for BPU?
  19. Miami GT's SMIC is a good price and people find they work well on here (from the search button anyway) But there FMIC is also a good price and FMIC look really nice but its pointless if Its going to do more harm than good. So you think a new SMIC would be best for stock tubbies at 1-1.2bar?
  20. hi guys, I have a TT auto and I think my intercooler is due a change but I dont know whether to get a front mount, (I like the look and price of the Miami GT one £400) Its a 2 row I believe or a new SMIC, again Miami GT's £250 from what iv read they seem good. anyway will a front mount be too big for BPU, Im only running 1bar but im getting an EBC to increase to 1.2 (most driving will be at 1bar) or will It be better than a replacement SMIC. Iv done a search but couldnt find much. Thanks.
  21. I like the black bonnet, and the carbony/black bit in the front bumper but I think it would look alot nicer and finish it off with a nice TRD spoiler with the carbon blade aswell
  22. hi there, it may be back up for sale im just waiting to see if the guy who originaly wanted it still wants it. Are you still interested?
  23. I too would love to own an RX7, Im trying to talk the other half into buying one
