Hi guys, I was after a bit of advice if anyone is able to help regarding an accident I was invoved in about 2years ago where my insurance company rebuffed a claim against me because it was solely the other drivers fault having hit me in a car park. After all this time he is trying to make a claim through the county court Iv'e spoken to my insurance company who can deal with it, but out of interest, the county court documents have my christian name on them but not my correct surname (its my Fiance's surname) what would happen if I just ignored this? Thanks for any help

I think the 'market' only changes on here (no offence intended to anyone by the way) but every time I see a for sale thread everyone seems to drag the prices of these beautiful cars down, without reason, but the prices over the last year or so on auto trader (by traders anyway) have remained quite steady. It is us lot of enthusiast on this site that spend a fortune looking after are cars and maintaining them regardless of cost and I think the majority of our cars for sale on this forum should fetch quite a decent price as far as prices go, especially after what you see on eBay etc. (well that’s my opinion anyway).

Sorry for the thread hi-jack but have prices on the auto TT suddenly plummeted or something? I’m getting a bit worried reading you can pick them up for 5-5.5k I paid 10k for mine only 9months ago and have spent a good 3k on aftermarket parts (BPU, styling, shiny bits, etc) and would be gutted if its only worth a kick in the balls off 6k please tell me that this sort of money is for a beaten dog and not a good example

Hi guys, Im selling my vibe CBR-10 evo active sub since I finished my install. Its quite a nice sounding sub for a single 10" and I was very impressed by it. The sub is rated at 1300watts and the amp at 800watts and comes in the vibe ported box. Iv attatched a pic of a new one so you can see what it looks like. I cant take a picture of mine at the moment because my camara's broke but I assure you it is in very good condition. It was only used for about 3months and fits very nicley into the back corner of the boot, I dont have a boot blind but I know it wont go under one Im afraid. this cost me just under £200 about 4-5 months ago Im after £100 please guys. Pickup from Newcastle prefered. I could post it but I think it will be expensive as they are large and heavy.

hi guys, I couldnt beleive how argumentitive this police guy was. Im in scotland visiting the fiance's parents and we came out the local pub after a couple drink and seen are mates talking to a police man so we wen over and some how ended up talking about cars and he asked what everyone was driving and my fiance (alana) said a toyota supra, and then said 'but this car might keep up' just being polite I think as it was an astra estate and he turns around and says I dont know, it might, what power is it. My fiance looked at me as in thats your que so I say its a mk4 supra, 3litre twin turbo running about 400bhp at 1.2bar. He then says how fast will it go? I replied . . abut 180ish and it will do 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds, he then tells me im talking shite and I need to get my speedo checked I said Im not one for lying, thats just what it will do. He then asked what Iv had it to. I say just over 150mph but it had loads to go and he says well 150 is a big difference from 190, I was thinking I never mentioned 190 but anyway. . . he then said I have a 4.7 litre jag that doesnt do that and that mine is only a 3litre. I said you cannot compare a N/a to a turbo just on engine size and he turned around and said to me. . we'll just have to agree to disagree. What a knob!! he then turned around and said well whats the car making up for then? I thought to my self, what a fucking bell end, but I replied . . the lack of power that your jag has he didnt say much after that but what a cock. I even told im what the soop does standard 0-60, top end, quater mile, etc. and he didnt believe me. Sorry for the pointless long thread but I needed to get it off my chest. I think he just coudnt handle the fact that Im half his age with a car that maybe cost a 1/4 of his and that it would whoop his jags ass, never mind his dodgy astra estate with its go faster stipes.

I had the same problem and I couldnt find a gasket anywhere the exhaust place said paste would just blow out but it was my only option so it got a good pasting and its still fine about 6months later. I think everyone who gave me advice just used paste themselves aswell. Oh and use paste on the other joints along with a gasket because the exhaust place just used gaskets on the rest of the exhaust and all the joints leaked so I had to redo them myself, I wasnt a happy chappy after paying for it but atleats the first decat pipe went on fine which was the reason I payed in the first place as Iv been told that can be a right pain to change.

Yeah, Im BPU with my auto and its fine. maybe I should have worded that a bit better but thats what I ment. Does anyone know how much BHP/torque the auto box can reliably take? I always thought it was being pushed at about 500bhp, hence not being strong enough for singles.

I like the first bit in the add 'WHAT AN AWESOME LOOKING CAR!!! AND EVERYWHERE YOU GO PEOPLE ARE TAKING PICTURES ETC , SO IT REALLY DOES LOOK THE PART' I wonder why they are taking pictures As funny as it is I hate it when I see supras in sush a state, no car deserves that.

I never thought I would have an auto until I drove the supra. Its actually quite good, although you do get slightly more control with a clutch. The bad bit about the auto like said earlier is that if you ever want to go for BIG BHP the auto isnt for you. Although you can buy upgraded auto boxes if thats your aim but they cost alot.

Thanks guys, Yeah the spare is still under there, although you have to move the sub boxes to get to it. I left anough speaker wire to put down the back seats and move the boxes onto there to get to the spare. They are velcro'd down so they dont move about but easy enough to detach and move yourself. I thought it would be worth keeping the spare just incase. Thanks for the comments aswell guys

lol, theres actually quite a bit of room but the pic doesnt show it the best. I was going to put just one box in but I got a bit carried away and decided to make 2 seen as the other side is exactly the same shape it was easy to make another, the joys of base

Thanks I went for a nice neat subtle clean look instead of an in your face install and I tried to make it to keep as much of the boot space as I could and it worked out well.

Hi guys, Iv spent all weekend and a couple hours in the evenings last week doing this and was quite pleased with the results. the boxes are sealed with about 21L volume in each. The subs are JBL GT4 - 10" (250w rms each) and they are running off a JBL 601.1 amp (580rms at 2ohms) It sounds very nice and turned out well. What do you think? hope the pic is ok.

Hi guys, I have a couple things for sale after upgrading. I have:- standard front door speaker pods JBL 10cm speakers Standard spark plug cover (dark green) All open to offers guys. The speakers are only a couple months old are in perfect working order. The spark plug cover is in very good condition aswel with no damage etc.

I have a GZ and it has a LSD (at least thats what it says on the vin plate) I love the leather interior over the cloth but being a GZ it an auto. I dont mind the auto to be honest but I dont think the auto box can handle singles very well Are there any manual GZ's or where they all auto's?

Mmmmm, I would also probably buy another supra and like you said it would have to be a manual single conversion to make it a bit different and a completely different animal in performance but Iv got a soft spot for TVR's especially the Sagaris but its a bit out of my price range I would also consider the a TVR Cerbera but only the 4.5 litre daddy, I really like those cars and the interiors are lovely, it would be a hard decision for me.
