  1. Hi guys, Iv recently put a Miami GT polished spark plug cover on my car so my old cover is up for sale. Its off a 1993 so its pre VVTi if there is any difference. Pics arnt the best but it is the green coloured one and it is in very good condition. Asking £50 Delivered (Mainland UK).
  2. I seen a Black supra in Wickes's car park in Westerhope, Newcastle today at about 3pm, a guy was driving I gave you a wave I was in my Silver soop.
  3. Yeah that sounds about spot on mike, I figured if it was a boost leak I would never see 17psi at anytime as the pressure would always be getting out somewhere. How much did it cost to fix?what parts did you need? and can you do it yourself? Thanks again
  4. Hi guys, I think I may have a boost leak but I cant find the bugger anywhere. I boost to about 17psi when on WOT but when Im cruising at 60mph off boost and mash the loud pedal it changes down gear and I get 3psi boost If I then let of the throttle and apply again it boosts to 17psi again. It seems that when ever I put a sudden large load (straight into tubbie 2) something gives in, it must happen 50% of the time when I mash the throttle. Iv checked everything I can see and all the hoses are tight, has anyone had/experienced anything like this, what could it be?
  5. Thier are some supras on the net with 1500bhp (3ltr) so surley a 2litre could produce 900-1000bhp with the right mods. As for beating an FQ400 my mate has just bought an FQ300 and I have a BPU supra so Im going to have a spirited driving session with him when he pics it up so Il post up how it went (unless I get my ass whooped)
  6. As the title says really, anyone got a spare I could buy
  7. Thats quite a difference in power for the same boost without the cat compared to with the cat in. I wonder how that compares to leaving the second cat in as its less restrictive. Good post
  8. Seen a Silver supra at Morrisons today at about 5pm reg number was M4** ECV it had standerd spoiler with Vailside side skirts and after market alloys.
  9. Nur Specs are pretty loud and agresive as it is but Iv read that the RSR is a bit more agressive/louder but Iv not got any personal experience with the RSR to compare to unfortunatly
  10. I had to mess about with rr sizes for days and Iv got mine to a steady 1.1-1.2 bar now. The second cat isnt that resrictive so like us you will probably need a rr aswell if you remove the first cat (which is the one you want to remove for more performance)
  11. I may not have said the best things here to sell this but its all personal preference to whether you keep the stock box or use an induction kit, there are arguments for both but the Apexi power intake is a great kit, it offers v.good airflow with v.good filtration properties unlike most filters. Heres a link to look at http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ You can no longer buy these new (from what Iv read) and this one is in very good condition.
  12. Thanks Greg Iv seen a pic of this before and it looks very good However its more money to create heat shielding and ducting and then it becomes very similar to a stock box again but alot more expensive So thats why Iv decided to go back to stock it just didnt make sense spending loads of cash on an induction kit (which I already done) and them loads more on ducting and heat shielding to create a 'box' again. From everyrthing Iv read about induction the best setup seems to be stock box with an air feed to pressurise the air box but then you get alot more debris and some water into the air box but I may try and adapt something in the future. Could someone be a gent and clarify if these induction kits are the same for the N/A and TT? Im 90% sure they are the same but I dont want to tell someone they are if they arent.
  13. Yeah Iv not had it long but but with turbo'd cars it has alot to do with intake temps and Iv read how hot it can get under the bonnet of a TT and have changed countless times between the induction kit and the stock box to see which is best and I cant make my mind up so I took peoples advice (CW+members) and decided that theoretically the stock box is much better as it sucks in cool air constantly rather than hot or fluctuating air. Iv read all about pressure differences aswell and to be honest I did get an extra 1psi from the induction kit and the noise is very nice but I also figured that the extra 30odd degrees will easily sap the extra power givin from 1psi and my SMIC with have alot more heat to deal with especially seen as I am BPU now (1.2bar). Also if I kept the induction kit I would have to spend more money on heat shielding and cold air ducting and still get no where near the cool intake temps of the stock box. I havnt really helped sell this have I, lol. Anyway the Apexi filters are really good and I have put an Apexi element in my stock box for a bit better air flow aswell. God I can ramble sometimes. Anyway Buy this people its the only way to stop me swapping all the time
  14. Im selling an apexi induction kit in the for sale section. Its off my TT but Im sure they are exactly the same for the N/A http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=105483
  15. Hi guys, Im selling an apexi induction kit off my TT, its been on my car less than 1000miles and is very good condition. The filter element is very clean and in very good nick. £80+delivery. Heres some pics, not the best but hopefully they will do
  16. Oops sorry seen its a 5speed, I should really read everything first Do you loose top end with the 5sp or does acceleration suffer compared to the 6sp box?
  17. Is there anything wrong with the car Lucifer? Its very cheap for a single even though the fuelling needs sorting out. Look forward to the pics is it a 6sp manual? Are the engine internals up for the job (600bhp)? does it have the standard clutch? and do you know what Turbo it is? Sorry for all the questions but I may be tempted at this price.
  18. Thats not good as thats the range we will probably be testing the cars in Should my soop being BPU maybe (380bhp ish) not have an edge over the evo (300 bhp) from a rolling start (at 20mph maybe) because the massive launch advantage of the evo's manual and 4wheel drive system over my auto are lost arnt they . . . . . . . (I can hope )
  19. Hi guys my mate just got one of these http://www.carenthusiast.com/roadtests.html?article=166 its actually this one on autotrader (its the £17999 one.)http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_search.jsp?searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=block&sort=3&hassearched=Y&make=MITSUBISHI&min_pr=10000&source=0&model=LANCER&max_pr=&miles=40&agerange=&mileage=&postcode=ne5+5hr&variant=&bodyid=0&trim=&fuelid=0&colour=21&transmissionid=0&keywords=&ukcarsearch_full.x=18&ukcarsearch_full.y=9 Do these things really do 60 in 4.5 seconds? thats pretty god damn good for a 2litre . . . How much of a match will it be for my BPU GZ? just asking because he wants to have a spirited driving session to see how his car compares to my soop, I hope I dont get my arse handed to me on a big yellow plate
  20. Here is a usefull link to look at http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ Iv had the apexi induction kit and the stock air box on and off to see which is best. I have a TT and with the induction kit I created 1psi extra boost but the intake temps have been recorded as high as around 60c (not by me but other members) so in theory the stock box will be alot better as it keeps temps down to about ambient (lower air temps=denser air=more power) so the cooler air should more than compansate for 1psi extra boost (I filed the rr anyway to create more boost with the stock box so Iv now got more boost with ambient intake temps, best of both worlds all from the stock box:) ) With you having a N/A it doesnt get quite as hot under the hood as their are no tubbies creating and giving off heat and the higher intake temps wont affect a N/A as much as a TT but from my own experience I would say the stock box is the way to go. Hope that helped
  21. Iv been wanting to get my auto dyno'd for a while now since going BPU. Does anyone know a good one in the NE?
  22. Chris and Alana
