  1. Hey all, Has anyone had a company do some work on their garden fences recently? Basically the end of our garden has now got no fence at all due to the bad weather recently, and our fences are in a pretty cr*ppy state in general. I want concrete posts (I think it's about 7 posts, and 1 corner post) and new panels (I think it's 8 panels and a 1/2 panel). Now I've done a bit of searching and it seems that the posts can be purchased for about £20-30 each, and panels about the same, but my question is really to do with the labour costs. I could probably do it myself, but didn't really know if it was worth the hassle... lol So anyone had anything similar done recently, and got approx costs involved? Thanks

    New TV?

Well I'm very happy with my Samsung 40" LE40M87BDX - and at the £750 I got it for was well worth it I think
  3. just make sure you get it fitted by a DECENT authorised Clifford installer - the alarm will only ever be as good as the installation.
  4. The stock TT is, IMO, a fantastically engineered piece of kit from Toyota - compare that too all the different aftermarket single turbos and you're just entering into a minefield.

I did not know about Heli Graveyard - best go look for it now!

As mentioned earlier in the thread by SupraStar3000, ebay actually can be a great place to source a helicopter quite cheaply. Most you'll see are from HK, but, you'll find some UK suppliers who are still cheaper than a lot of the online shops. Up to you if you want to "risk" buying from ebay - but for an example, my Belt CP cost me £120 inc. postage, whereas the online shops on Heliguy.com or buzzflyer both show it retailing at around the £180-190 mark.

It seems that most people think that the FP (Fixed Pitch) range is a good starting block for someone with no experience at all. You can either go for one of those to start with and then upgrade later on, or get one like we've both got (Belt CP) and just take your time in learning - use the training skids, simulator etc until 100% happy to try it with the real thing Thanks for the link mate - how much are you sourcing the shells for, if you don't mind me asking? Everywhere I look they are about £80-90, which is the price of the helicopter in the first place ! lol

Wow - do u get the bodies in kit form? I love the idea - didn't realise they could be changed like that! Something I'd definately look at once I can fly properly I've just taken a look at my JR set (Futaba ones are all in use with my dads kit) and realised it's a plane version of tx - which means that a lot of the extra features are useless, and I don't think I could use it for 3d flying because of the lack of mixing on the right channels.

Wow - looking really good there mate! Are they all for a Belt CP, or different heli? TBH I'm not going to bother returning the heli, because I'll no doubt lose out on postage both ways, which is about £30. The only bits I need to swap are tx and rx, and I've got many JR/Futaba sets at home - however I'm not sure if they're going to work yet, as I think they are all PCM and these heli's need PPM..... looking into it though. If not, I'll buy the tx and rx off ebay - one on there at the moment for about £30 ish and then all i need is the rx and i'm sorted.
  10. I'm somewhere between colsoop and nboost really - I'm not 100% into the belief, but I like to think that there is someone or some force that looks after us.
  11. Well I have 2 cracking new inventions that nobody else has thought of: 1. A "BTCU" - a Bread to Toast Converter Unit 2. A 1-bit analogue-analogue converter (also handles 1-bit digital-digital conversion) - This one I'm going to call a "wire". Anyone want to give me £200,000 to set up my company, dragons-den styleee?

Thanks mate. Seller has said that I need to return the whole lot for a refund Sounds like a lot of hassle to me. I can't see me getting caught, but I don't really think I want to take the risk. Not only that, I'm sure there are other things in the 72Mhz range, meaning that they could interfere. The last thing I want is a heli that crashes because of this, or me interfering with some important radio call...

1 thing I've notice mate, and I'm hoping you can shed some light.... What frequency is all your kit on? Are you in the 35Mhz range? Mine's turned up with 72Mhz Xtals, which I'm certain is not a legal range for the UK... I bought from a UK advertiser on ebay so will have a word if it is illegal, as I know some/most cheap kit won't swap from 35-72Mhz easily. Cheers

yep - thanks for the tips - dad mentioned the same thing when I got the Picoo Z's and when he got his T-rex! These lipo batteries seem quite dangerous really!

When I get one I'll be going for the Elite because of the HDMI connectivity - may as well get the most out of the unit and graphics

Good job it's raining and windy outside - will stop me attempting to fly lol..... EDIT: I've tried to test the heli indoors, and it's soooo cool! I've got the training gear on, and I've been doing some checking and setup. The heli has a bit of a wobble when I power it up so I think Gyro needs adjusting, but I'll leave that until I get round to flying it properly Can't wait! I also got the Aluminium case to keep it in - it'll keep it safe. Shame the battery takes nearly 1.5hrs to charge, but i suppose if I get into this big-time then decent chargers and more batteries will be required!

It's here it's here woo! Simulator is MUCH easier with a proper transmitter - bloomin digital keyboards lol. I asked for a white version, got the yellow. Nevermind!
  21. M'eh - all that waiting in anticipation for that? lol Not bad mate - can't tell much from those pics, (as in rest of body etc) but still not as nice as my missus (and no there will be no pics of her on here!) EDIT: I have to say the above - she's watching me over my shoulder
