exactly that man Same reason I'm not really going to use my petrol models anymore They're much more fun - but SOOO much hassle in comparison. TBourner - for petrol models take a look at the BMFA.org website for lots of info

As far as I understood it (unless it has changed) because of the noise of petrol engines and the safety element, all petrol craft need to be flown at an approved flying ground (usually associated with a club) and you need to purchase a license to fly one. I think this was around £60 last time I looked?
  3. I am a stickler for abiding by the rules - but if the tw*t in the middle lane doesn't pull over I tend to undertake them if the fast lane is busy. If they are sat in the middle lane, with me in the slow lane, I also pull out into the fast lane, overtake, and pull right across their path and into the slow lane again. I do this sensibly, making sure that I'm not too close to them - but close enough to make my point.

Well my dad had a huge collection of scale petrol helicopters until recently when he started selling them all, mainly because the club ground was built on, and there were no local flying fields left. We still have a couple of petrol planes, a couple of gliders, a boat, and a few helicopters left. Personally, I have a petrol trainer plane, and a Picoo Z mini helicopter. I've been using the simulators on my PC for a while now - planes are no problem but flying helicopters still requires some work My main interest in these electric heli's is what was mentioned earlier - you can fly them anywhere you like - and you don't need a license to fly
  5. I love the xbox, but I'm in two minds whether to buy one as they seem so unreliable. I have the standard xbox(not 360) and that has had a few issues too.....

I don't particularly want to buy from Hong Kong - because of the added import duty etc.... Ideally I want to buy from a UK seller...

sorry to drag up an oldish thread - but wondered if anyone knew of a supplier of the honey bee king 2 cheap? I see above you said the ebay link was pricey, but I can't find anything cheaper than about £100 for one.....?
  8. Well done Spurs Good to see some games being won again, and climbing up the table! Tricky fixtures ahead between now and mid-Feb though
  9. Another review here: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Samsung-LE40M86BD/
  10. you've seen what today? The N87? or a cheap source of the M86? Where?
  11. well, from research, it would appear that the M87 panel in the TV is better than the panel in the N87. From avforums.com, the N87 is an older model with (i think) an 8-bit panel rather than the M87's 10bit panel. This equates to some silly figure with regards to colour reproduction. I think everywhere has the deals on the N87 now to clear stock - everyone seems to be doing it for £699. The only difference between the M86 and M87 is cosmetic - I've seen the two tv's side by side and the M86 is much squarer - the edges are not rounded like the M87. Overall, I prefer the cosmetics of the latter. EDIT: plus of course, what you mentioned - contrast ratio.
  12. really? You sure? Currys do the N87 at £699, not the M87..... And the DSG group only have the M86, not M87...... Cheapest I've found is £740 @ Dabs and AJ Electronics.
  13. Nice idea if I need to put the missus somewhere..... I know the Supra doors are long, and my current car is a 5 door. However once in the garage I park at a slight angle so that it gives me more space to get out. The supra will be a tight fit - but don't know what else I can do
  14. Happy Birthday!!! Have a good one
  15. ohhhh interesting - my current car INCLUDING mirrors is 77.9" wide - and I can fit this through the door (just about) - therefore a 72" wide supra would leave 3" either side - excellent :D
  16. yeh - look who's the comedian! Does anyone know if the width of 72 inches includes the wing mirrors? I will do a search now anyway, but thought I'd ask EDIT: found this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=100708&highlight=car+width+including+mirrors Which states that the Supra is 6 foot wide at widest point.... which equates to 72" - which is what I said
  17. Just been looking - the SEAT Leon is 68.5 in wide - the supra is 71.4 " wide (from a bit of research) so there is only 3 inches in it - which shouldn't be a problem if I fold the wing mirrors in to get in the door.
  18. The line needs to be provided by BT (hence you pay BT the line rental) but doesn't matter who provides the billing for calls etc. I actually have a BT line, but have Sky phone, broadband and tv. Sky won't work on a cable line.
  19. RIP..... wonder what impact this will have...
  20. - to give you an idea, the door is 7ft wide. I know it'll be a squeeze getting through, but once in the garage is around 105" wide at smallest point (pillar) so should be ok...?
  21. I WAS at work at 8:30am. By 10:30am I was on my way home - what a waste of time that was. 3 people in our office - out of 250 ish that should be there. lol. No point in supporting those 3 - they can support themselves!
  22. Well I said I wanted a nice garage to house my current car and then my Supra (when I get it)..... As you can see from the attached pics, the garage walls are all painted, the ceiling has been boarded (1/2 done by previous owner who also insulated it!) and then painted, and the garage floor sealed & painted. Then at the far end of the garage a cheap kitchen worktop has been installed as a shelf at a height whereby the car can still park underneath it, although the garage itself should be big enough for a Supra without having to do so (just about) I've also now got mains power in the garage, via means of an RCD on the wall, which I also use to power the fluorescent light. Unfortunately the concrete floor isn't fantastic quality, so the paint is peeling a bit where the car wheels are in contact for long periods of time. I may put some mats down to tidy it up, but not sure it's worth it. The main point was to stop the concrete dust getting everywhere, in the car etc. Anyway, I'm chuffed to bits. My first house and my first DIY project completed entirely on my own - while I've been inside I've got the kitchen ready for a dishwasher to be installed, and also boarded the loft
  23. thanks mate - water inlet/outlet is not directly behind the machine, but the plug socket is - Can't relocate the socket either - would mean a hell of a lot of rewiring of the kitchen. The plug sticks out by 3cm, so assuming the dimensions of the dishwashers supplied by manufacturer include the pipe access at the rear, the dishwasher will stick out by 8-10mm at the front - what a b*tch.... Anyway - I've now spent somewhere close to £1,000 online in the last 3 hours - tv, dvd player, cables, connectors - all i need is the wall bracket and it fitted on the wall and I'm done
  24. just seen on tv that today was HUGE hit with the public - 25% increase in sales over last year. Don't know where that 25% were though - they were definately NOT in Southampton, Hedge End, or Basingstoke!
  25. no mate, I mean the 45cm width - 60cm is full size. Found loads of suitable models, but we have a slight problem with depth of the unit so have to make sure it's not too deep. We won't use it much and seen cheapish ones at around £180 - 240 that would do - if they were in stock! lol
