6 blades!!!! Dear god man, get on the simulators! lol..... I'm using FMS and Aerofly Pro Deluxe sims at the moment - I must say that they DO help get coordination etc sorted, but they definately DON'T help with wind/sudden occurences, and the weather at the moment is not really good weather to learn in
  2. Because if you do a search on autotrader like I've been doing today, a few of their cars pop up at seemingly decent prices, and the pictures make the cars look really quite nice - and worth the trip to see them in person..... Of course, if you don't know of their reputation or are not on these forums (or others for that matter) you'll not know to avoid them
  3. Hey all, I didn't realise that there were some Myth and Magic collectors on here (from Supra_Brett's thread) and I don't want to clutter his thread, so I did my own. I've got about 40 odd Myth and Magic pieces, a fair amount of these are club-only pieces from around 1996-2002 ish (at a guess) They are all in MINT condition and have original boxes with them - all come from a smoke free home. I also have club magazines etc and all associated Tudor Mint bits and pieces too. A brief idea of what I have: Many of the dragon Bikers, the dragons with instruments, large pieces with wooden bases, collectors only pieces for every year for about a 5-6 year period.... I've had a brief calculation and I think the total cost of everything I have is over £600, but I'm obviously not looking for anywhere near that figure now! If anyone is interested in purchasing any, please drop me a PM and I can get you the list of all the pieces available. They are all in my bedroom at my parents house, so unfortunately I can't get a list together at the moment, and chances are nobody is interested. But if you are I can drive to parents (60mile trip) and get a list on request. Thanks Paul

    bit stunned

I see sooo many posts about prices dropping - yet in my very initial searches for my supra purchase I can't find anything that really fits what I want for less than 10k.... Hey - if I'm looking at supras in this price bracket then there must be other people doing the same........ so if you've got a nice supra I think you need not fear! It's all going to boil down to how quick the seller wants to sell really!
  5. Provisionally SOLD/Given away, pending collection tomorrow.
  6. My current car is on there - my previous car is not.... I think the owner wrote that off too!
  7. That, my friend - is fantastic! Thank you very much!
  8. Hey all, I need to try and find out what my current car is worth - I want to try and find a parkers/glass valuation, but my copy is too old to use. Has anyone got access to one to do me a quick check? Car is: SEAT Leon Cupra (Feb 03) 52 plate (1.8 20VT 180bhp) 98k miles (high mileage I know) All the toys - full leather, front armrest, AC, CC. It's modified so I'll try and see what the std value is first and go from there. TIA.

    RC Helicopters

Less than an hour after my last post...... Lets just say lessons have been learned I desperately want to get the heli off the ground, and I had it off the ground 3 or 4 times, even if only by a foot. 5th time was a little higher, then from nowhere the gust of wind that grounded me.... took the heli into a nearby garage door. I did what you're not supposed to do and dropped the throttle, but I actually think this was my saving grace. The heli has just undergone minor surgery - has new main blades, and at first I thought the tail belt was broken - but luckily the tail had just been pushed into the heli, making the belt too loose to work. 45 mins of setting the heli back up and she's as good as new - but I definately am NOT flying outside until the weather is MUCH better. If I could find a large sportshall or something to fly in it'd be ideal, but don't think it'll happen. One relieved trainee pilot

well my 5 spare main blade sets turned up from HK this morning, so that's a good thing. I'm planning on taking the heli outside in a bit as it's not raining, but the only real place that's big enough for me to fly is above tarmac...... Wish me luck! lol

    Free sofa's

Shameless plug, but Jamie's got rid of both of his and I'm making no money out of this so what the hell: (Hope you don't mind Jamie) I've got a free sofa set going too: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=137506

    1 Gb Ddr 3200

    hmmm, i have a stick of RAM sitting here - it's 1GB PC2-3200R-333... so assume that's DDR2?
  14. well thanks for that - of course if you are SERIOUSLY interested then let me know
  15. Obviously the wear on the wooden arm section could easily be painted or tidied up if it's a real problem. PM me if interested folks!
  16. Hey All, Yes - that's right - yet another Free Sofa thread! lol... This comprimises of: 1 x 3 seat sofa 2 x single seat chairs 1 x footstool. The sofa is Blue/Black/Grey in colour, all pieces are on caster wheels. Condition is ok - there are a few wear marks on the arms of the single chairs, but otherwise it's still definately useable and comfortable to sit on. Pictures now in post #4. BUYER MUST COLLECT from Basingstoke, Hampshire BEFORE FRIDAY 25th Jan. Thanks
  17. sounds logical to me When you say dry mix - any particular ratio of water/sand/cement?
  18. Hmmm, sounds easy enough then. Dad has a cement mixer so could employ him for a weekend to help out The neighbours all have G/b's come to think of it, as their gardens are on a slope. Ours isn't really on the same incline, so could go without - but I think I'd use them all around anyway for the reasons you've already mentioned.
  19. I didn't know anything about gravel boards..... I'll have to look these up! With the Concrete posts, you still have to concrete them into the ground, right?
  20. incidentally - I'm thinking about removing sections of the wall to mount the posts properly, or maybe removing the wall altogether. It's only about 1.5foot high, and there is no real reason for it to be there......
  21. hmmm, well I'm not too sure on wooden posts purely because all of the neighbours have concrete posts, and that includes the LHS of our garden where the neighbour has changed the fence recently (before we moved in here) Ideally we wanted to match what they have so the fence is the same all around. Do you really think concrete posts are that bad? I think the main reason ours all got damaged is because whoever put them up mounted the fence on top of a small brick wall, where obviously the post mounts just ripped straight out of the brickwork, and the panels were quite old so they've just fallen apart.
  22. JVC Kit all now provisionally sold - pending collection and payment on saturday!
