  1. well I'm back - and suprisingly happy! The shops were seemingly DEAD! Easy to park, no real problems being served by staff, overall quite a chilled day! However - I didn't buy anything in the end LOL - TV's been ordered online from DABS as nobody in store could come close to their price (or dixons online for that matter) and we've still got to find a decent sofa... nobody had any slimline integrated dishwashers in stock either Nevermind - wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

    2008 goals/aims?

ah but the gym have a nice bar with big sofa My only exercise is lifting a pint or 3...... Nah - seriously - I joined to go with the missus, and we go swimming/sauna/jaccuzi etc as well, so it's perhaps a bit more worthwhile being a member!

    2008 goals/aims?

Aim #1 - sort out my diet - stop eating pizza/general rubbish and get back to eating proper food Aim #2 - buy a Supra Aim #3 - to avoid spending too much money on aim #2 Aim #4 - seriously now - to adhere to aim #3. Aim #5 - go to the gym more often - it's a lot of money to spend and I need to get a bit fitter Aim #6 - to setting into my new job in Jan and to prove myself for a payrise.
  4. I'm sure I'm not the only one on here, but...... I don't usually do it - avoid it like the plague. However, this year we are buying lots of stuff - so we're hitting the sales tomorrow!!! Not sure if this is a good idea, but what the hell! Anyway, plan is to buy a new tv (Samsung M86/87 LCD) and a new sofa (if we find one we like) plus we have around £200 worth of vouchers for M&S, Argos and such, so going to see what other goodies we can find! We also want a dishwasher, new dining set etc but I doubt we'll find anything just yet. All this 2 days before I get made redundant - good job I've got a new job to go to in Jan eh???? LOL
  5. my bad also - i see mention of fitting a soarer unit to encorporate a filter - but not in the supra as standard. Seems weird to me - the air coming into the cabin must be filtered at some point - otherwise anything harmful could get in. I won't argue though......
  6. The scuttle pannel is the bit of plastic that sits along the bottom edge of the windscreen - usually the wipers screw/bolt on through it. The pollen filter "should" be easily accessible (bearing in mind that it needs to be replaced regularly) and on VAG cars there is a small section of the scuttle panel held on with 2 screws - undo these and pull forward and you can access the filter from there. Would assume (silly me) that a Supra is similar....
  7. Common problem on VAG cars, but if the pollen filter (cabin filter) gets damp/wet due to a leak under the scuttle panel then it causes this exact problem - I'd assume this could also be the case on the supra?
  8. Can't believe that mate - really can't! I'd be braking your arm off for it! I'm being made redundant at the end of this week (already got a new job though) so the redundancy money + my car + a bit more saving and I'll be giving you a bell to source me a quality supra like that
  9. The black TRD supra looks LOVELY Jurgen.... well done!
  10. I can handle a decent Tikka Masala, Jalfrezi (sp?) or Rogan Josh, but nothing hotter as I just don't enjoy it as much.
  11. Well in the end I went to the local O2 store, and got a £30/month contract (400mins, 500txts) with the phone for free. 18month contract, but not really that fussed. Phone came with no charger, so another trip back into nightmare shops (v.busy) and I had a complete phone - it's really nice, although I think I have a problem with the video playback - the demo's are terrible, but any video I take is ok.... I've dealt with o2 online before, and it was a bit of a mare, so I decided that the shop contract was enough for me - the online version simply gave me another 500 txts, but I won't use the 500 I get anyway, so wasn't really worth anything to me. Thanks for all your help!
  12. did some xmas shopping today too - wasn't too bad at 9am, but 10am was a totally different matter!
  13. Oh - Rob / wazz72 - have you both received your HDD's etc???
  14. I suspect I need to put up a new thread or something, as I have SH*T loads of stuff to sell lol. I've just emptied another box of IT stuff, and found somewhere in the region of another 6 or 7 laptop HDD's, all 40GB I think, plus a load of desktop + laptop RAM (DDR + SD) so I need to try and catalog it all so I know what I've got LOL. Monkeymark - PM me your address and stuff and I'll see what I can do for you
  15. Silly question perhaps, but does anyone know if o2 will do their online deals in store? I want to go and get a contract/phone and take home same day, I don't want to be ordering and waiting for deliveries. Thanks
  16. I'm addicted to spuds. Or is that Weird Al - I dunno...
  17. that's good to know - thanks for that. I currently have a SE k750i... (lol) which I've had to resurrect from the drawer because work decided to remove the Palm Treo from my possesion - no more push-email for me boooooo.. I love the k750i though - been a solid phone from day 1, but just recently (last month or so) the camera has died, and the bluetooth seems to be dead now too. Kinda like the sony W910i too, now i've looked at it online, just not sure which one i prefer between the two.
  18. Do you recommend the phone? The buttons look quite small and fiddly to me, but then I haven't seen the phone in the flesh yet.
  19. Whats the rep. of networks such as 3 like these days? Seem quite cheap contracts in comparison...?
  20. well just been looking at the k850i - on a 20/month contract it's £130, or on 25/month it's £60. Both 18 month contracts. Does look quite good....
  21. Hey peeps.... Redundancy means I lose my company mobile phone/contract soon, so I need to find a replacement. I favour the o2 network and deals, but want a cheap contract as I'm not a heavy user (around the £20/month) but am totally stumped with the handset choice. I don't mind paying a bit for the handset itself (up to £80 ish?) and usually once I am on a contract I'll probably not bother switching after the period is up - just get a new handset. So - what handsets are out there that people have, and what can you recommend? My requirements: Preferably Sony Ericsson Decent camera (>2MP) GOOD Bluetooth (to link to Parrot H/F) MP3 player Thanks peeps
