  1. Dude you passed me months ago. You've raised the bar for sure. God knows what needs to be done to better that.
  2. What did you clean the pistons with Dazzi, and did you gap the piston rings on are the Toyota rings pre-gapped.
  3. Clutch problem will be the push rod on the slave cylinder is too long. Keeping pressure on the fork all the time. I had this issue with my ORC twin plate. It's a simple check, get under the car and grab the clutch fork, I'm assuming its a jap push type clutch. You should have a few mm movement on the fork either way. If its a tight fit with little to no movement, that's your problem. The smoke from the second turbo will be the turbo oil seals, without a doubt. I would say, have the valve stem seals done, the turbos have to come off to remove the head anyways, as does the timing belt. Get yourself a good set of 2nd hand turbos and do it all at once. You'd be mad not to, or you'll end up paying twice to have the turbos removed and it's not an easy job.
  4. This car is freaking amazing. Your 1 lucky man Jay.
  5. Haven't had time to get onto this today but they'll come to bits tomorrow regardless of what ever else I have on. I've got someone coming to view the car soon so I need it all in perfect working order and Shiney clean.
  6. As Nic says, it's really that easy.
  7. People charge overinflated prices for supra specific kits. All they are is bits of hose that they've precut. Save yourself a fortune and cut it yourself.
  8. Just buy a few metres from eBay and cut it to size. If this is to cure your boost issue, like I said I'm sure is an electrical issue, probably spark related.
  9. Don't forget the big house you've promised Mrs.P, BEFORE you buy another supra. This could end up in you being single, with a TT.
  10. No chance of that Chris, I instantly let off the throttle and when I tried it just with the gears I did it in low boost setting at 0.9 bar, I let it raise to 1.5 bar and backed off. I think the problem lies in the lines that run between the downpipe and manifold. Although I've got loads of heat wrap on there and the pipes are thermosleeved it's just not enough for the heat.
  11. Nothing major, the car drives perfectly apart from that, I'm going to order some hose today. But your right about the "something goes wrong thing". It's as if the car doesn't want to go, it wants to stay with me forever.
  12. I've been trying to get in touch with Ryan for the last 3 weeks now, I've emailed and called him and he's not answering or replying at all. I need my idle control valve turned back on, a voltage trip incase the alternator overcharges so I don't fry my battery and also lower the boost cut trip or set it up 1 or the other. I'll order myself a few metres of silicon hose today and get the car all piped up with that to save anything melting again.
  13. I've tried a new solenoid on that I had spare and it's no different. I'll pull the lines off tonight and take a look.
  14. Does the same in gear, boost keeps rising.
  15. I have to disagree, you need a big single. If she's having a midlife crisis take advantage of it and go big or go home.
  16. It's blowing hot air xos your car is still too high. Slam it a little more and your heaters will cool down instantly. Trust me......
  17. Had the Supra out for an hour or so tonight for a bit of spirited driving. Had a nice easy drive home, to cool it down with a big grin on my face, and parked it up in the garage. Jumped in it to take it to work, on the way I fancied a bit of the rolling anti-lag. 2nd gear, button in, foot on the floor aaaaaaand ooooofffffff. Good job I was watching the boost gauge. My boost went off the gauge, well over 2 bar. Quickly lifted off the throttle before I let the button go. I recon that could have been pretty much carostrophic seems it's only mapped to 1.8 bar. All my lines are braided Teflon and insulated with thermosleeve but I'm guessing the heat and got to 1 of them and melted it. I'll pull them all off tomorrow and take a look. Think I might go back to silicon wastegate lines, and thermosleeve then to see if they take heat any better.
  18. Looks great bud. Shouldn't be long now.
  19. Happy birthday mate, have a great day.
  20. Nice looking supra there. Welcome to the club.
  21. Just for reference, Dane, with the lower water neck adaptor, you can use an N/A lower water neck instead of buying the adaptor. They run in the prefect position to fit. All you have to do is drill the holes a little bigger. It's a 2 minute job. I've got 1 on mine with a T6 setup and it's mines away from the charge pipe.
  22. I've tried to email and call him myself for a while but had no reply. I spoke to you about this a few months ago Nero, if you recall. I think he was at Japfest, or japshow this year (can't remember which). Jamie.P was talking to him, so he's still around. I recall Jamie saying he now has a GTR.
  23. You are the coolest man EVER. I'm coming to Thailand for my 10th wedding anniversary, if we're staying close I'd love to pay your garage a visit.
