  1. It is there to stop overboosting. It gives you a base line boost which you can raise with a boost controller.
  2. You can do the videos from behind then
  3. You can't lower boost with a boost controller Marc only raise it. If its a 1.1 bar ring then you can't go any lower than that. Although, because Ross now has an external wastegate, that ring should be removed.
  4. Yeah, you fancy coming up on the Saturday morning with us?
  5. Great stuff. I'm curious how he's got it running at 0.9 bar with a 1.1 bar ristrictor ring in. 1.1 bar should be your minimum boost level.
  6. Me and Bossco are now leaving at 7am so were up there bright and early. I think Simon is joining us too but still waiting on him to confirm. Should be at Geo's for about 9.30 or 10am at the latest.
  7. Thought the boost control solenoid didnt look right, it's plummed in for an internal actuator not an external wastegate.
  8. Geo will need a ticket too.
  9. I've got to pick Geo up, and I'm fitting a pulsation damper bypass to Tony's car, so I'll clean it there I recon if Geo is cool with it.
  10. Aye, mines going to need a good clean. I'm intending on catching a few flys on the way up. (And the odd Ferrari, Porsche Aston etc etc)
  11. I'm going training, then Physio then work. Sad times, sad times.
  12. I wish posts has a "LIKE" button.
  13. I never thought of the crank pulley David. But just to Add, myself and Johnny.G both bought the same alternator at the same time, and his let go on the road while he was driving quite spiritedly and he had a stock pulley on at the time.
  14. It is just plug and play but when I do battery relocations I like to make things as safe as possible hence why I added the inline fuses.
  15. Thanks Dave. Aparently, I've got a heavy right foot and I'll blow myself to pieces.
  16. It's a brand new SRD alternator zero gauge power and earth cable, and I have inline fuses to provent and charging spikes. I have 300amp fuse on the starter and 100amp fuse to fusebox (alternator). If its failed for any other reason that it being shit quality then my money is on it overheating.
  17. Well that solves that mystery lol. I've got a new Optima yellow top on the way. Should have it by Wednesday/Thursday at the latest. Almost 200 quid I didn't really want to spend though. After this I'm spending nothing else on this car, apart from cleaning products. I just want to drive the thing.
  18. I doubt it. I had a 200 amp alternator on it before it went pop. I bought the alternator off lee, I can't see him selling something that hasn't been tried and tested or has a possibility of overcharging.
  19. I'll get some tomorrow Matt I'm at work at the minute. It's definitely battery acid cos it's got on the side of my amplifiers and took the paint off
  20. Well something's gone on cos there's battery acid leaked out if it and I've had it happen with a red top too. There must be some liquid in there too.
