Thats your Exhaust Gas Control Valve, yes it is quite hard to move but you should be able to.

Hi, I have one from Halfords, "Action Sport seat protector" (front), it has a red top bit and the rest is black, it's a pretty good fit and is easy to take on and off, the cost is £25.

So you are getting dressed up as Superwomen again.

Have a good look at this, especially seing as you have just had a sirvice, use a torch look under were the filter is to see if its from there, also, if it's coming from the rocker gasket you should be able ti see where it's come from. You may have to give it all a good wipe clean first then start car and have a good watch.

Just sorted brakedown through RAC, £35, happy with that, I'm with the AA and have been with them for 15 years on gold cover and the best they could do was £68, for exactly the same cover.

I had a problem like this 5 or 6 years ago, it sounded rough and airy and no power, it turned out to be the EGCV, it's down under between the turbos and the exhaust, check that the smaller vacuum valve is moving the link rod to the main EGCV and make sure the EGCV is opening and closing. The EGCV is known to stick, and this was the problem with mine, oh! by the way all this movement happens at around 4000RPM when the 2nd turbo should come on line.

Congratulations Rog, I bet your glad it's finally done, the colours are a fantastic contrast, that's going to look great in the late evening with the sun still catching it, looking foreword to seing you and the car at Dragonball. -
Hid shirt is for the evening meal on Saterday night, you don't have to ware it "out out" or "awt", just a bit of a larft, and the winner is picked by the powers that be. I recon we should have some sort of prize, maybe a couple of euros in from everyone waring and winner takes all, though we will have to veto Ellis from waring his full 2013 outfit.
