  2. Steve, I would like to come to this now as a spectator and guest in the supra, am I too late to do it through the club and collect the ticket from Lui at Toddington, or would it be best to get tickets on the gate? Cheers.
  3. Right, I'm coming to this, I'm on holiday in Snowdonia for a week up to the Saterday morning with my wife, Trisha, on a photo week, but we will set off early and be there. I'll put 2 down on the spectator list and then make up my mind (see if I have enough funds) before th 18th as to the driving.
  4. You should also hit number 2 turbo at around 4000 rpm and this is quite a noticable kick, a lot of people when they try the supra auto are prity pleased, it is a very good system. If you are poodling along at say 40 in o/d and you push your foot right to the floor (wide open throttle WOT), you will hit the kick down button (have a look on the floor under the accel peddle), your car should then pretty much fly it's a good feeling if you're BPU. Also have a good search through the "tech" section on here there is lots of info on the auto box there. Good luck.
  5. Hi Martin. A few people on here have used them, they are C R Turbo Engineering, and they are based in the New Forrest, thier phone number is 01425 638426 and ask to speak to Craig, I think they do a corrier service. As to price the refurb costs between £650 - £800 depending on how bad they are, then anouther £200 to change all fluids and vac hoses (OEM stuff), and did the work myself. Give me a PM if you want any more info. All the best .
  6. What about camping, I know its not the best time of year but it sure is a cheep alternative, any chace of camping on site. I'm 80% sure I'll be going to this, just a few things to sort and I should know for sure by mid next week, after watching some of the footage from last year it looks like a nice cool meet, an ideal place to have a good chat and a real chance to meet people. Dr Jekyll, that sounds like a good idea, have to consider that.
  7. Just seen this Wiggy, good news, car sounds good, bad news had to laugh at the second one, not that I would have done any better mind, I listened carefully to the end of the second vidio, did your girlfrend/wife/partner say Tw**?. Hope to see you again at some of the meets, is that tyhe same car with a paint job or did you get another one?
  8. Thats exactly what happened to me, its my daily drive and every time I went anywhere, especially car parks, I would scrape something. It got so bad that every time I went somewhere new I had to make inquiries as to ride hights. In the end, even though it looked good, I went back to OEM from Eibach
  9. Hi Martin, you realy need to have somone have a look at that, it does sound like the oil seals have gone, you may have to get them refurbished, if you do drop myself or "pistonbroke" a line because we have both had ours just done. Even if you have to get your turbos sorted its still a good price for a UK. Hallo and welcome, this is the place to be if you own a Supra, there is so much information here, make sure you do a good search for things before asking questions though some people can be a bit cutting. Good luck. Bob.
  10. Sorry to see this man, thats a real s*!t thing to do to anyones car, and your's was looking spot on too, hope it all fixes up ok, though it wont be cheep.
  11. Looks just like new "shiny", good job mate.
  12. I'll start a thread in south events when you have more of an idea of dates. Cheers.
  13. Are you open to some of the southern happy people coming along again, I came last year and it was a realy good day out.
  14. Congratulations, I hope you have a healthy, prosporous and fun future together.
  15. Cheers fellers, got the white gloves ready Brett, I'll also look at the heat shield when next we meet.
  16. you must have long, thin, strong, malleable fingers Chris.
  17. Three weeks ago I took my spare set of UK turbos to CR Turbo engineering in the New Forrest for re-furbishment, 5 days later they phoned to say they were ready for collection, which I thought was pretty good. I was very pleased with the results, they realy did look like a new set of turbos. I have had them in for around ten days now and have slowly added higher boost runs till now running well on 1.2 bar with no leaks oily smells or problems. Changed with fluids and test runs in 15 hours work, (this is the third time I have done it now). Fantastic. I bought a cmplete set of gaskets and vacume pipes from Mr T which came to £120, new oil, filter, and coolant £85 and the re-furb was just over £800, so, with the prices quoted for new turbos and the soon to be problem getting hold of them thats not a bad deal. Still have to see how long they last for though, a few members on her have used CR Turbo engineering and have been pleased with the service. Here are a few pictures. Cheers for having a look. Sorry but for some reason pictures have come out tiny any help would be apreciated.
  18. Hi Dan. I had a similar oil leak after changing over my turbos, it took a while to find it but after a lot of crawling about under the car, shining of lights, and some good langauge I found that it was leaking from where the oil feed pipe joined to number two turbo. I managed to clean it off in sittue, ran the engine for a while and it was definitely leaking from there, oil was running down the oil feed pipes ending up around the banjo where it joins the engine, around the O2 sensor, around the sump, and support framework. I managed to tighten it up enough to stop it untill I fitted my re-ferbed turbos (which I shall do a thread about soon). I have changed my turbos and replaced all the gaskets and torqued them all to the right amount, no leaks. If the car is still up on ramps, get under clean everything off including around your oil feed/turbo joint (though this is not easy without taking bits off, you will need something long and thin and a good light). Run the engine for a bit and keep an eye on that area. The number for the gaskets used between oil feed pipes and turbos is T15471 - 46010, if you do need to change these I'm afraid it's turbos out. I hope this helps, but I hope its something simpler.
  19. Hi Michael, if this is already set up for a UK spec I'll buy it off you, PM me details and how you want paying, (thats assuming it's still for sale). Thanks.
  20. Hi there. There is a place in the industrial estate behind the Vauxhall garage along the Portsmouth road, Newtown, Southampton, called Supertracker and they make the geo equipment that a lot of places use. They have a ramp and they do Geo's if you phone 02380443325 and ask to speak to Nick say he was recommended by a fellow Supra owner, he has done mine twice now for cash £50, give him a ring and ask how much.
