  1. Hi all. Number 1 turbo has just blown on me, its been howling a bit lately, it actually went when my wife was driving it to work this morning. None of the garages that I use can fit it in, so, I have a spare and I'm going to have a go at changing it myself, if all goes well I may still see you on Sunday. Bob.

    auto or manual

Please don't get me wrong Manual drivers, I have driven manual cars for over 30 years and I thought I would never drive an auto but having had this one for three years and as an everyday car I realy can't fault it. BHP>MPG, you realy should try to get to a meet and have some one take you out in both, either way they are both stunning. Cheers. Bob.
  3. Well done, and enjoy. Bob.

    auto or manual

In full auto, with the OD button in (meaning you have OD), the box will do all the changing up or down for you all the time, if you want to go V-quick in this mode press your foot right to the floor, then you will hit the down change switch (look on the floor under the peddle, the box will drop a gear and you will be in Wide Open Throttle, zip... The auto from 0 - 60 is quicker than a manual because the gear changes are quicker. If you put the system in Manu mode you use the auto shifter a little like a manual gear, you use the change button every time you change, and you start off in L (1st) then change to 2 (2nd) then D (3rd), no OD in manu. This mode is good for a bit of controlled speed for fun. You can also use it in auto but using L - 2 or D, for example, if you were in 2 then the system will only use 1st and 2nd up or down, this meens if you dont want to go too fast but you want a good sound out of it at 3 or 4,000 rev's then 2 is good. Hope this is of some use to you. Cheers. Bob.
  5. Sorry Branners, I just saw the Southampton header then the picture of Stokes Bay and wibbled... Agree, the Madeira drive worked well last year, we just have to try to stick together along Brighton sea front with all those traffic lights against us, we did attract quite a lot of good attention along there too. Pistonbroke, sorry to here you can't make it, it would have been good to talk again especially about turbos, because I think my number one is going, and to tell you all the pain I've been through with the car since the last trip. Never mind there is always Japfest. Cheers. Bob.
  6. Hope you reolize the spot in the picture isnt anywhere near Southampton, its about 1 mile away from where I live and its on the coast near Gosport. Having said that its quite a good run down to it, very picturesque and has a perfect cafe in that car park for a last drink, and its probably nearer for the poeple in the east to get home. Fitz, is 11.30 leave time early enough to get everything in? sorry I feel like I'm sticking my hoof in too much, but hay ho. Bob.
  7. h,i do you know if this fits all types of supra, I have a uk tt. If the answer is yes then I'll take it. Bob.

    new guy

As above, try Keron either PM him or start off by going to the for sale section and do a search for his name, he has had a few threads for multi buys of TRD rear spoilers. Bob.
  9. Hi, by 1, just seen your post, (and this gives the thread a bump), have a look at my post 48 above, havn't heard anything from Rich but I don't think he is on here that often. Any meet in the area for a joint drive up would be good. Bob.

    TRAC ecu

Damn! I was jumping there for a second.
  11. Anybody got a second hand TRAC ecu for a UK auto going for sale, I have a problem with my TRAC and therefor can't use my manu either, I think I've narrowed it down to the ecu or the wiring between the TRAC ecu and the engine ecu, Thanks. Bob.
  12. Hi Stefan. Thats already starting to look like something pretty spectacular, I love that shade of gold you're using, keep sending the updates in even if it seems to be taking a long time. Hope everything is well with you. Bob.
  13. Good price, and I'm sure with a lot of hard work it will come up nice. You need to be a regular "parts for sale" twitcher, there are some good deals to be had especially if your on the ball and have a bit of spare cash, and there is all the advice and expertise you would want in the Tech section. Good luck. Bob.

    Fuseeee !!!

Thats one big fuse to be blowing, I can't help you, sorry, but I would be very carefull. Bob.
  15. Anyone from the south Hants area want to meet up for the drive up there? I did it last year and went up the A3 to Guildford then A25 to dorking. A suggested meeting place could be the Hilton hotel portsmouth PO6 1UN, this is on the route up there. Bob.

    Thunder Road!

Well done all those who went, and a special WELL DONE to those who won titles, something else for Supra owners to feel proud about. Bob.
  17. I think Chris Wilson does them also.
  18. OK mate, just too late. Cheers. Bob.
  19. Glad I came across this, I have a spare set (UKs) and I think the ones the on the car are starting to go, occasionally I get a small howl from number 1. So I think I'll give them a bell and see what they can do. Bob.
  20. Hi, are these for a TT Supra? if they are I will take them off your hands. Let me know and I'll PM you with details. Bob.
  21. Back up for sale. £120 including P&P to UK only.
  22. It may be that the insurance company has only got a price for a UK TT which probably would be less than in import N/A, make sure they give you a quote for an import TT. That said for around £4,000 you should get a nice N/A, but you would be very lucky to get any decant TT for that. Oh by the way, welcome to the club. Bob.

    is this normal?

Hi mate, I have a problem with my traction and I have the trac light on 95% of the time, which is simillar to having the fuse out. I have an auto like you and my manu does not work, I have spent quite a long time going through lots of threads on the subject and it appears that if you have an auto you will not get manu if you disable or there is a fault with the trac. It also can effect the way the auto box changes the gears, ie harsher. I'm going to have to put mine in to get it looked at. Hope this is of help. Bob.
  24. Sounds good to me, I'll be driving up to Dorking again, wouldn't want to miss any of it. I have no real biases on either Southampton or Portsmouth, but what I would say is that Portsmouth/Southsea has a better front to cruise along. Bob.
