    new here

Hello and welcome Nick, but you'll have to do better than that, we (as in the royal we) on here thrive on info and pictures. Bob.
  6. For that sort of money you realy should be looking on here or look at what Jurgen has got, even give him a bell and have a natter, though at the moment you may be able to get a better priced one on here. Bob.
  7. Merry Christmas and I hope we all have a good, prosperous, healthy and happy New Year, and some more good meets. Bob.
  8. Have you got any better pictures of the back seats please? Bob.

    Sport Cats

Hi and welcome. There has been some talk about sports cats, can't remember where though, do a search in "supra chat", I'm not sure if anyone has one fitted. Bob.
  10. Hi Flip (no other name?). A TT all the way, if you buy the NA in the back of your mind there will always be this little voice saying "should have bought the TT", I know it happened to me . I've been a manual driver for over 30 years and then 2.5 years ago I bought my Auto TT and once I had found out how it all worked and used it in all its modes there realy isnt that much loss of fun and a lot of the time its so much easier to drive. Get the TT, and welcome to the club, if you have a Supra this is where you need to be. Bob.
  11. It could be a fuel cut problem but as said we need more info on the spec of your car, also as Jon said it could be a vsv or it could be the ECGV actuator which is the problem with mine at the moment. Does the car allow you to go above 4,000 revs, but you have no power, or does it just stop you going above 4,000? Bob.
  12. Nic, why late model vvti springs? Bob.
  13. I think a lot of us are getting mixed up between tracking and a full Geo, I paid £60 for what I thought was a full Geo but the more I read/hear on here it would seem to be just a good tracking check and adjust. Others on here who have had a full Geo seem to pay a lot more, (£150 - 250) and it sounds a lot more involved. Bob.
  14. There were other issuse and we thought because of the age and milage it would be a good time for a partial build, new pistons, rings, etc.
  15. It was the initial cause of compression fail, which AFR think caused more problems.
  16. I know what it is, its a pollen filter, a big red switch next to the blue one.
  17. I have revived this thread to go with my new WARNING thread. Bob.
  18. Hi everyone. I have just (with the help of Dude), worked out why I had a potentually very dangerous situation about 16 months ago, I have also revived the old thread when this happened to me, (I don't know how to quote threads). My car is at AFR at the moment having a few problems sorted out, one being no compression in number 6, Dude stripped the engine only to find a piece of hard plastic jambing open one of the valves. When he discribed it to me it clicked as to where it may have come from. A few months ago I changed all my plastic/rubber OEM IC pipe work to hard pipes, whilest removing the old I noticed that at one of the joints, part of the pipe had obviously broken off and the old pipes did appear a bit brittle. Talking this through with John today it seems very likely that this piece of plastic was the cause of my unwanted WOT situation in which the other thread talks about. My fear is that if somone else were to have this problem, at this time of year especially, it has the potential to be life threatening. It may be a good move for those who still have the older plastic OEM pipework to check them. I don't want to sound like a scare monger but I had to say something. Thanks for reading. Bob.
  19. Hi Stefan, I'll take that off your hands mate if paypal is ok let me know where to send, if not let me know what other method you would prefer. Cheers. Bob.
  20. Hi, sorry to jump onto your thread, I bought some Ultralites a little while ago and Iv'e been looking for some good chrome wheel nuts, where did you get yours from? Bob.

    climbing

Hi Graham. I've spent a lot of time walking/climbing in the lakes and one of the best climbs up Skafell is to drive to the NE end of Wast Water, park in the car park near "Bracenclose" then go up the path that runs alongside "Lingmell Gill" and up to the "Hollow Stones" and "Lords Rake". This is a pretty tuff route but spectacular, also do both peaks. When/if you go, drive over "Hardknott Pass", SE of Wast Water about 15 miles, if you think you have the "Kahooners", its one of the most impressive stretches of road anywhere, though most of the winter its impassable. Just read that back, sounds a bit controlling of me. Bob.
