  1. "ITS ALIVE". Great car and thread, good luck, hope all the build up goes smoothly, are you taking it to Japfest?
  2. Good to meet you both yesterday and I'm sure you will be happy with the exhaust, get it on, then have a play up around the 2nd turbo aria to get the nice note change. See you at Japfest, all the best.
  3. Fingers crossed, hope everything goes well, you could build your miles up on a nice France trip.
  4. Sorry mate there is no baffle with these.
  5. Talk to suprash, that's the way to go.
  6. Received both sensors for my uk a couple of days ago, fitted them today, a bit of a pain and fiddly, took a few hours and a bit of shouting but done now. Got the sensors from Sparkplugs.co.uk and they are the same ones that Toyota supply, for both of them including delivery they were £121, that's less than the price of one from Mr T. Anyway thought I would put up a few pics of one of the new ones and both the old.
  7. [/b]SOLD[/b] I have for sale my RX, in excellent condition, there is a slight scratch on mid pipe box but very minor (see pictures), the only reason I'm selling is it is slightly too quiet for me and I have recently just got a second hand Nur spec R. Though it is quiet, there is a very nice growl once the second turbo comes in, it is perfect if you want to do track days where there is a Db limit, if you want the official blurb go on to Wifbits website. No dibbs please, first to come up with cash gets it, pick up or meet only, I am prepared to travel up to 50 miles to do the deal. £400 or near offer. Bob.
  8. Mate leave the RR in and get a de-cat pipe instead of the second cat, then you should see boosts of 1.1/1.2 depending on size of RR.
  9. Cheers Steve, I'll have a go tomorrow, I know the front is a bit of a pain but there is little I can do about that, I have had both sensors off in the past 6 months for one reason or another so I know I can get them off. Thanks.
  10. I'm just after a bit of advice realy, I'm changing both my o2 sensors for new, and looking at the book, changing the rear most one looks a bit complicated, I'm sure I have heard that cutting and inline splicing is the way to go. Is this true or should I follow the book and go through taking the seat out? Thanks in anticipation.
  11. When I did this, I wrecked both anti role bar links and they were expensive to replace, all I do now is take some of the wheel trim off at the front of the arches and take the long bolt out of the top of the big "V" thing then the whole hub drops down, real easy to change suspension this way, as you can tell I'm not good with the proper names of any parts. Just seen the name of the part in another thread "wishbone".
  12. Thanks for the comments, it seems that we are all mostly in an undecided opinion, and if we're not its about 50/50! either way sometime soon one of them will be up for sale, (and then I'll change my mind again, "oh the woes of a multi exhaust life"), no one has made a comment about mix and matching them, I may try that this weekend.
  13. Well done, thats horrible when things happen like that, unusual for the ECU connector to work loose, I bet it put a bit of a dampener on your enjoyment of Pete Kay, shame, good you fixed it and good for the rest of us to remember.
  14. Yes I am de-cated, and I know what you mean, but this "engine noise" kid keeps getting in the way, but the R does drone after few hours. I think my old sensible head may have the final say here.
  15. Yup, I suppose if I leave the bung out then I will have peace, by myself, earplugs mmmm or Ipod up loud.
  16. Hi everyone, (or some of you at least) as the thread title says I have a quandary that I hope you could help me with, by giving your thoughts, opinions or views on. I had a Nur Spec RX on the car and I've always found it, (up to 4000 revs), a little quiet, though from then on the sound is very good. So I went and bought a second hand Nur Spec R, great sound for me but my wife hates it, so most of the time I run with the bung in, but not keen on this because it is restrictive. Should I put the RX back on and stop wanting a really aggressive sound (I don't think of it as noisy), also there has been a few threads lately about people being fined for an over loud exhaust. Or. Should I stick with the R and put up with the bung and driving normally, with the occasional spin as it should be, nice and free flowing. Also does anyone know if you can mix and match the sections of exhausts to get a level somewhere in between. Any helpful post would be great. Thanks.
  17. Go on national events and get your name down for Japfest in May, one of the better club days out, especially if you join Lui's convoy from Reading.

Stormforce all the way, does a good job, pretty easy to get on and off too.
  19. Have you thought of replacing your pistons with the Chris Wilson stainless steal ones for sale in the "parts for sale" section, this may stop this problem occurring again, and there not a bad price too.
  20. No you don't regret it, "look into my eyes". Sounds good and cleaned up nice, wife has me running it with the bung in for everyday use, but I get to scare people now and again. Hope you get what you want soon Axle, we were right about him then.
  21. Great news JP, also good for the Supra too, well done.
  22. Heavy, stiff walking boots are the wrong thing for this type of event, in the summer, just do plenty of carefull, rough, hill or dune walking/trotting to strengthen up your ankles, if you get damp/wet feet through water or sweating you will get blisters. By the way, be a lot more carefull going down slopes than up, this is usually where any damage is done.
  23. Jamesy, done this three times now last one in 2004, don't go getting any big heavy boots, get some good light trekking shoes, and get them as soon as you can, then the only really good training you can do is to get out there and cover lots of ground especially hills the steeper the better. Obviously to start with build up steady, a couple of 5 milers over a week then start making them longer. If you know that you get blisters, before you start any walking put some "Mole skin" on the spots where you get them, use only the best socks, (I use bridgedale trekker) and I would have at least one fresh pair for each lumpy bit. The three main bits of advice would be, get out there and cover a lot of ground, you havn't got long till July, look after your feet, and make sure you have a good support team and drivers. Oh and enjoy it's worth doing.
  24. Ok mate, I'll leave it till you let me know.
