  1. Have to agree, apart from the Spitfires, (which is something altogether different), and I know its all about personal taste, and maybe its because it is closed in by the trees, but that is the best sounding car.

    Aircon regas

Wow, that is good service, he actually did some work for free and a good job, sadly there aren't enough of those type of people around, its also a shame he is in Norwich, my AC system emptied its self on a garage forecourt about 2 years ago and I haven't got around to getting it sorted yet, maybe next year, (along with everything else).
  3. Go visit Stonkin Graham.
  4. I still like the whole meet at Reading, convoy down, then the hustle and bustle of the show, but Dragonball wins hands down, I would just prefer to have all my bits of cake and "eat em all".

Thanks though it doesn't look the same now, I must update my garage, I have gold Ultralites on now and a TRD spoiler. Yes it was up on Portsdown.
  6. I always go to Japfest, starts the season off nicely, I would hate to miss it, especially the convoy. In those famous words "I like Japfest, But I also like Dragonball, but which one is best? there is only one way to find out.......... FIIIIGHT.

    Local meets

I'm in Stubbington near Fareham, no problem mate, there are a few Supras in the area, TT Paul being one, he is in Portchester.
  8. John, I've just been on the Castle Combe web site and Japfest is on the 12 of May 2012, which clashes with the dates we were thinking for our little trip.

Where in Hampshire are you? we should get a few meets on the coast somewhere, I'm up for it, (a meet and beer that is), (not that, that suggests anything ells of coarse).
  10. What a great fined, amazing skills, wanted it to go on for longer and see more street stuff, still a cool vid.
  11. Branners, are the dates of 11, 12, and 13th of May pretty firmed up and stable, because even before I start saving I need to book leave and my wife wants to go on holls sometime in May, but obviously Dragonball comes first.
  12. could You add me to your latest list, I think its about time I got around to fitting one of these. Let me know when you need details and payment. Thanks
  13. I'm sure you will get a few more people who have a better idea of the price, I just had to say that it looks like a really good car you have there, even though its an Automatic it should command a good price, (even in a bad second hand car market) especially in Europe, they seem to be snapping up all the low mileage UK specs. When you do come to put a for sale advert together make sure it is as comprehensive as you can make it, with lots of photographs, even vids. It is a shame you have to sell it, I'm sure you have thought long and hard about it, good luck with the sale.
  14. If you want a gloss, Dulux one coat gloss is good and doesn't yellow. Even though it says one coat I would always use two for a really good finish leaving long enough for the first coat to dry properly, (2 - 3 days at least, this time of year).
  15. That looks and sounds terrible, its been a long time since there has been a crash like that, must have been hideous for all involved, devastating, a bad RTC on a motorway, involving trapped, in fires and more than likely children, it doesn't get any worse than that. I agree with the comments about bad driving, but most of the time what causes a lot of crashes is doing something other than concentrating on driving, letting other things distract you, I've lost count of the times we have found things in the drivers foot well at crashes, as Dude says lane discipline and distance are 2 of the worst things on a motorway. That's my two penneth anyway, my feelings go out to all involved, this will change a lot of lives forever.
  16. Yes do it, there is a doner Aero body shell in the for sale section, or buy a nice NA aero and "Roberts your mothers brother".
  17. Last year we started off with a list of about 50 cars, the usual happened, we ended up with 20 - 25 which was good, I don't think we would manage to keep 50 cars together even for a few miles.
  18. Now that sounds like a proper plan, we would have to take it over though, because they drive around it like nutters with no regard for any other cars, I have this picture of 20 - 30 Supras driving up the "Champs Elysees", then a few slow turns around the Arc, then maybe over to the tall metal spikey thingy.
  19. Go with Chris,s ('s es is) parts, you wont get better for your money.
  20. Hi thanks for the comments, in the end I used a combination of Coke, drain cleaner and whittling with four different screw drivers to get the "BLACK DEATH" out, took just over 9 hours. The other reason I'm back is, I hired A tool for removing the injectors one part removes the top half, and the second part should screw in and then a reverse screw out to pull the rest of the injector out, as you can see from the pictures there is no where to screw down into, and the bit you see in the way does not come out. There is supposed to be technical back up from the hire company but I get no reply there, just wondered if anyone can help.
  21. There's some pretty steep drop offs to the side in some places, get it wrong and you wont stop tumbling for quite a time. Good vid though.
  22. My sons had a problem with a Mercedes van he bought a few months back so we looked up the symptoms on the net and came to the conclusion that it was a problem with the injectors which caused a thing known as "black death". Anyway this week was the first period of time I had to look at it, well.... , took the manifold and air pipes off then the engine cover, (which was stuck on) and found this. Now I'm no expert, and I have never seen anything like this, but I reckon it's pretty terminal, half of it is like solid plastic and the rest crumbley plastic. Anyway here are a few photoes, any comments or constructive Ideas welcome.
  23. Number 1 was about the same as this year and that was very enjoyable, the second choice could be even better, just because of the longer time together and it wouldn't cost too much more. The third choice would be fantastic if we didn't have to worry about cost too much and in the present climate this would put it out of reach for a lot of members, and I think this would cause the early rush of names with the usual fall off at the time of going. So for me choice 2 would be the better, maybe extend it by another day, Thursday to Sunday.
  24. Another great result Christian, well done Shanes car looks like new.
