  1. Stay. Althought people (myself included, I suppose) have been posting negativity occasionally, without the input from more knowledgable and long-term members such as yourself the site will only be worse off.

    Bolt size

Aerotek also do the anodized cup washers
  3. Peter, you need bit more to fit UK turbos to a J-spec - iirc you need the manifold and the ceramicy valve type thingy as well as the downpipe. Though if you're going single, I'd imagine you could supply those too
  4. If you've got a multimeter, check the battery voltage across the terminals with the car engine running. Might be that the alternator isn't chraging the battery as well as it could. Also check the voltage between the terminals with the engine off, and check with someone cranking the engine. i had a similar problem with an Exide Maxxima battery (or whatever the hell the thing was called - big blue bastard!). When I checked the voltage whilst cranking, it was dropping to 4.3V which would indicate that some doobries inside that I don't know much about have busted! Hence why it wouldn't hold much charge either.
  5. Is it the ones that hold the frame bit in place that the two packs screw into? If so, PM me your address and I'll sling one in the post
  6. Has anyone got a pair in good condition that they want to get rid of? Mine are a little on the scabby side
  7. Problems with Orange I think matey - mine's fooked as well
  8. Yet another one in my small vicinity! Think the reg is right anyway - saw you pulling in just up the road from the Sainsbury's roundabout yesterday evening
  9. I was told that any more than 30g is a waste, as the body can only break down that much per 3 hours
  10. Bit of a thread hijack, but how much would you charge to do a leak down / compression test, Chris? I'd like to check that everything's okay before I go BPU.

    Road tax horror

There would have to be a massive improvement with public tarnsport before they can stop people using tehre cars - buses are rare, smelly, unpleasant, and take too long, and trains are similar but massively over-priced for anyone who wants to use one at a normal time - ie commuting time!

    Western Union

I've used it a couple of times and never had any problems.
  13. Martin, when are you gonna pull your finger out and start a chain in the Midlands?
  14. He doesn't really slate them, just gives an honest and educated opinion which a lot of people don't want to hear, especially if they're being told they've wasted their money! Best bet is to contact him either by phone (01948 841581) or at [email protected] I've never used Chris for a service, but he's great to deal with and always very helpful on the phone.
  15. I'd be interested mate, dependent on dates.
  16. Hideous. His intercooler is wonky as well
  17. Does anyone happen to know the sizes of the stock suspension springs? Just wanna check before I buy some coil spring compressors (maybe a hydraulic one). I know I could measure them myself, but right now I'm slobbing around in my underpants and have no plans to get dressed before bed!
  18. Yup, that stuff is great!
  19. Does anyone know where I could get one of these over here in the UK? Traders?
  20. No idea. I quite liked the sound of 'Derek the Ferret' as well. Women, eh? So fickle
  21. I'm hoping to get a ferret soon as well, since poor Sam the rat passed away. My young cousin's got one called Verity - lovely littlee critter she is! The wife has banned me from calling my ferret either Fred or Derek though
  22. Bob

    Highway insurance

Ah alright then, I only scanned the first page 'cos I was at work!
  23. Think I'll wait for Voo51 to post . . .
